Azalea Inn and Gardens

Amid the breezy quietude of brick-cobbled Huntingdon Street, relaxed southern comforts and social sensibilities allure guests seeking sportive or casual Savannah charm for a Savannah, Georgia, vacation or last minute getaway.
The garden district Savannah bed and breakfast mansion of Azalea Inn and Gardens is located in the Landmark Savannah Historic District -- within two walking blocks of Forsyth Park, the city's infamously verdant and captivating central park.

The Queen Anne Italianate urban manor (circa 1889), built on garden plots formerly designated for colonial gardening (ca. 1733 Georgia colonization) features the artisan craftsmanship or original artisan mantles from Savannah's Victorian era. Amenities include New Southern cuisine full breakfast, courtyard garden swimming pool, private parking, 19th century heritage (heirloom plant and water conservation) gardens, sociable rattan rockers under tree canopied balconies, and inviting porch verandas. Each of the inn's 10 guest rooms features themed décor depicting Savannah's distinguished history, gardens, and fashionable lifestyle of the mansion's original owner -- Captain Walter K. Coney, a beloved mercantile executive. In his youth a Confederate blockade runner, Captain Coney was a competitive yachtsman, Savannah Cotton Exchange member, Georgia Militia Captain, founding member of the Savannah Board of Trade and Savannah Bank & Trust.
