Our guests have graciously ratest us 4.5 to 5 stars on tripadvisor for Tybee Island, a short 18-20 minute drive from Historic Savannah. Tybee was named the healthiest beach by Health Magazine, the Top 10 City Beach in the USA by AOL and the best one tank trip by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And, Tybee was the backdrop for the movie, "The Last Song" starring Miley Cyrus. and recently several episodes of Sponge Bob, Square Pants was shot here. Historic Tybee Island Inn, circa 1902, captures the beach casual essence of Tybee with style. Framed with magnificent live oaks and palms, enjoy the sea breeze from our large front or back porches or relax in our tropical gardens. Spend the day on the quietest beach access on the Island. Or, explore the Island's history and visit Fort Pulaski, home of a major Civil War battle in April 1862; the Tybee Lighthouse, recognized as the oldest and tallest in Georgia and the cannon embankments (gun batteries) and museum of Fort Screven.

My husband had a small job to do in Savannah and we chose to stay on Tybee. He is a stay-at-home kind of person but he loved our stay at the Inn. We were very impressed with the charming atmosphere and friendly service. My husband had to be in Savannah so early that he missed breakfast (which was amazing!) and the innkeeper made him wonderful breakfasts and left them in the fridge for him with directions on how to heat them up. That is above and beyond! We loved the gardens, the rooms and the close access to everything. I was able to walk almost everywhere I wanted to go. The beach was a 3-4 minute walk and the Inn provided a chair and beach towel. My stay-at-home husband can't wait to go back. We are planning to start a new tradition and go back every fall!

I was traveling to Savannah and decided to treat myself to a single nites stay at the Inn. I was pleased to have all my exceptions met, the staff is friendly and helpful, the ambiance is relaxed and unique, and the other quests a delight. They have both "B's" just right, the Bed was quite comfy and the Breakfast delicious. - John

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at the Inn. We will return. We would recommend the Inn to family and friends who are visiting the area. The restaurants on Tybee are very good.
