The first striking detail was the lovely front garden, with a live oak and hanging Spanish moss, a beautiful dripping fountain, and a wonderful dappling of sun and shade. Took me a while to remember the parking convention (I was accidentally taking up 3 spaces before I was told what I should have remembered about using the concrete end-markers as an indication of how to park), but it was convenient, and driving, walking, and otherwise enjoying Tybee Island's attractions was easy and fun. Our room got upgraded due to plumbing work, and we loved the Captain's Quarters. I enjoyed the copper bathtub. The quaint decor just added to it.

We stayed in the Captian's Quarters! It was beautiful! However, I did not really enjoy going up and down the staircase to use the restroom. Very neat place with lots of extra beds for a larger family.

We booked this Inn through a Groupon deal. Everything went as planned and we checked in with no issues. The Flamingo room was small but very nice. Going up and down the stairs to the bathroom did get old! Breakfast was awesome each morning but there should have been coffee put out earlier than 9 am each morning. We enjoyed the small patio that goes along with the Flamingo room. We could park right out side our room! Overall a very nice stay!
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Upon arrival I take great pride in showing new guest arrivals around the Inn. Our first stop is the guest kitchen area, which includes microwave, tea kettle, all glasses cups, stemware, frigs, freezers, and ice maker, this is where an afternoon/evening snack is put out daily. This is also where we put out coffee at 7:30 am every morning. And by special request I have been known to make sure it is ready much earlier. thanks for staying, wish I had known you missed the early coffee. Lee

Lee was a great hostess at Tybee Island Inn. She made some wonderful chili our first evening there when the weather turned cooler. The inn was very nice & clean. The island is a great getaway from the city.

My husband and I came here for the night and it was wonderful. The staff was really easy going and nice. It truly felt like we were guests in someone's home and breakfast was wonderful. I was even loaned a jacket because I forgot to pack one and didn't realize the difference in temp. We really enjoyed our stay in the mermaid room it was exactly what we needed for the short visit we had we will be back this year as well.

Entering the Inn courtyard gives you a most welcome feeling and instant Southern charm. This historic building has a cozy, yet, upscale style. The host was great in sharing information about the Island and recommending where to go. The breakfast was delicious! Can't wait to return!

What an absolutely neat place. As soon as we drove up we knew this was the best bed and breakfast around. The front yard and porch area were spectacular. We were later told that people booked the place for weddings because it is just so picturesque. Now the first thing that you want in a bed-and-breakfast of course is a good bed. And this was amongst the most comfy bed I've slept in quite a while. Then the second thing you want is a great breakfast. And let me tell you, the two breakfasts we had were delicious. Stuffed French toast one day and a eggs Benedict the next. And afternoon snacks were not some stale cookies. Pecan pie on one day followed by an absolutely scrumptious homemade peach cobbler. Folks this is the place to go. The hostess was just absolutely wonderful. Gave us all sorts of ideas and tips. I could go on, but I think you get the picture!

We stayed at the Tybee Island Inn, first time at a B & B. We couldn't have been more happy at our decision to book this place. It lived up to the comfort of the the inn as well as the delicious breakfast made by their awesome chef! We will be visiting again when going back to the island! We loved it!

Stayed at Inn for 2 nights. We had a Groupon so the value was great. The courtyard was simply beautiful. We spent our nights out there with some wine. And the breakfasts were delicious. Everything was great and the Inn keeper was so helpful, but the rooms were a little outdated. And not in that charming inn sort of way.

This is my first review every writing so bare with me. My husband and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary and I decided to surprise him with a trip to Tybee. Neither of us had ever stayed in a Bed and Breakfast and I have to admit I was little nervous. Once we arrived thou all my fears went away. The front of the house is absolutely beautful and the inside is just as nice. A lady(her name has slipped my mind) greeted us at the door and showed us around. She was super nice and never minded us asking any questions. She also suggested things and places to go that we would of never know about if it wasnt for her. (like we could have bikes dropped off & picked up right at the front door for just $10 a bike) We stayed in the Sea Cabin which was right near the front door and also by the kitchen so we could just walk out and grab a snack anytime we wanted or put our drinks in the refrigerator next to our door. The Sea Cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. It was a cozy but spacious room where the bed and the bathroom were on opposite sides. The rooms were cleaned everyday just as if you was in a hotel and her staff was very friendly. Breakfast was served every morning around 9 am and I didnt eat one thing that I didnt love. I even asked from a receipe or two. My husband had also never ate a pomegranate and asked what is was and she brought out a whole piece for him because he liked it so much. It's personal little touches like that, that leave an impression on you. Our stay was perfect and it seemed like they had thought of everything to make our stay was peaceful and enjoyable as possible(inlcuding beach bags that included towels and sun hats with sunscreen to share). We will definitely be back in the future.

Pleasantly surprised as this was the first time visiting Tybee Island. The Inn was very quaint and peaceful. Beautiful front yard grounds along with a very comfortfable front porch. The breakfast n both days was outstanding. The room was comfortfable and we would definitely return again. The Innkeeper, Lee, was hospitable and extremely helpful whenever called upon! The Inn is just short walk to the beach and close by other fine eaterys.

This home is unique and loaded with charm! Our room (the captain's quarters) was very clean & comfortable and perfect for four girls on a long weekend trip! The grounds were beautiful for an evening relaxing and enjoying friends. The beach is a short, convenient stroll in a safe area at night, The innkeeper is a most gracious host and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful location with a lot of character and charm. The service was wonderful and friendly with lots of recommendations of things to do in the area. It is within walking distance to the beach which is fantastic. My only issue was the mid-afternoon snacks and breakfast. It was a little sad compared to the other B&Bs I've stayed at in the Savannah area. The snacks were brownies and ice cream and breakfast was one little piece of sausage and french toast. The coffee was like water. They need to up their game with the food and introduce some wine into the mid-day snacks - especially for the cost.

It was all we could ask for. It was very close to the beach and that was the most important to me. The inn was an excellent surprise. The rooms are clean, the bed is comfy, and the food was excellent. Thank you and I hope to stay there again.

My girlfriends and I (three of us total) stayed here for a Mom's get-a-way weekend. It was wonderful. Lloyd greeted us when we arrived and we were quickly feeling right at home. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters. Perfect accomodations. We each had a separate bed and the space has a living room area as well as a separate patio entrance to outside off a small sunroom. The bathroom was up a spiral staircase and was very large and very nice with a huge copper tub. Breakfast was fantastic each day. The beach is a very short walk or you can drive and park in the public parking spaces right at the beachwalk bridge. We throughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back!!

My wife and I made reservations on a whim to stay at the Tybee Island Inn. This B&B was by far the best we have ever stayed in. Between the staff, who were extremely attentive and nice, to cleanliness of the rooms (even after several major storms in the area) and the location to the beach...we had the vacation of a lifetime. Thank you Lloyd and the rest of the Tybee Inn staff.

This was our first experience in Tybee Island and we were met by wonderful hosts at the Tybee Island Inn. Our stay was short but outstanding. Lloyd and his wife were gracious hosts with lots of good ideas for our short stay. The Inn was clean and charming and breakfast was outstanding. If you have diet restrictions, they are more than happy to accommodate your needs. I would recommend the Tybee Island Inn to those who prefer a homestyle stay instead of a large establishment hotel.

This was my first B&B experience and I was impressed. The innkeeper Gary, the owner and the cleaning staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back next year - loved it!!
5 on July 06, 2014
You feel at ease once you walk into the inn. A homemade baked good was served in the butler's pantry everyday which was delicious. Gary who is one of the Innkeepers was very helpful with questions and accommodating. The Breakfast's were excellent and not your general run of the mill items either. The inn is very clean and is a very short walk to the ocean. I would highly recommend it if you want to have peace and quiet and want to be away from the commercialism aspect of Tybee Island.

We had a short but wonderful stay at the Tybee Island Inn while in Georgia for our anniversary. The inn keeper, Gary was very pleasant and gave us a great recommendation for where to have dinner. We spent the day on the beach with inn provided towels and beach chairs. We stayed in the lighthouse room and it was very charming. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Tybee!

I stayed with my wife on our honeymoon in the flamingo room. It was small, but awesome. Would not have been awesome if we were older because there was limited room (a small spiral staircase leading up the the bathroom) but it was very (very) well done. Breakfasts were great! Tasted delicious. The innkeepers were very conscious of my wife's dietary restrictions, and made dishes accordingly. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Only thing that was a little off was the cleanliness. There were small black hairs on the sheets in the room. No. Not those kind of hairs. There were assuredly dog hairs as the room we were staying in was pet friendly (had a plaque on the wall describing it's popularity with pets) It did not bother us, but it would have been nice to not see that. (a.k.a. it met my expectations) 10/10 would stay again, and 10/10 would suggest to others.

Planned visit to Tybee. Read reviews and picked the inn. Met all what I read and expected. Do not expect fancy but you will get friendly staff, clean rooms and yummy afternoon snacks and breakfast. Close to the beach and all restaurants. We toured the fort and spent the rest of the time enjoying the island. Favorite place to eat was Cocos right over the bridge when you enter town and if you want a great burger try the Tybee Grill restaurant, the server Abbie was so sweet. Overall just a beach town but worth a visit. Side note..being from Florida the beaches were a big disappointment when you compare against the crystal clear water and white sands of St Pete. But in fairness we didnt come for the beach, we were on the way to visit family in north Georgia and decided to spend a day in Savannah and a day in Tybee. Back to the Inn a good pick if your in Tybee.

Little mix-up on room upon arrival and no one there to sort it out, so myself and another guest arriving at the same time just switched keys. Have stayed at many B&Bs, all but this one provided afternoon wine and snacks. We had a dessert available to eat in the afternoon here, but no wine, or any other drink for that matter. It is a non-smoking inn which I appreciate greatly. However, guests are allowed to smoke out on the porches and this I didn't enjoy...you either had to leave or go back inside if you didn't want to feel like you were smoking as well. Not a bad walk to the beach, about 5 mins, and the beaches are beautiful. Room was comfortable and clean.

Lloyd and staff were so helpful and friendly - what a gem they have nestled quietly off the beaten path yet so close to everything. Our stay was very relaxing and the front porch held us captive morning and evening. As always meeting other guests is so interesting and hanging around on the porch certainly led to many a chat.

Both my son and I had a wonderful time at the Inn. Gary Dusselhorf is the most charming host ever and the house and garden are the most delightful places to be. Not to mention the gorgeous beach minutes from the place. I recommend Tybee Island Inn to anyone who wants to enjoy beauty, peace and meet the nicest people.

Everything about our stay was outstanding. We were phoned on our way to the island and allowed to checkin upon arrival which was a little before the normal checkin time. We were shown directions to the lighthouse museum and everything that we wanted to do was within walking distance. Once we checked in we took a walk on the beach and it was low tide which left the sand with many jellyfish washed ashore. Interesting lesson on the beach before and after the tide. Ended our stay sitting in a swing on the beach watching the tide roll in and the sunset. Perfect location for anyone who longs for peace and quiet and beauty everywhere!

We absolutely loved our stay at Tybee Island Inn. From the street, you couldn't tell, but the minute you step into the garden, you are transported into another world. The house is wonderful, with none of the bedrooms the same. The breakfast was out of the ordinary and very tasty. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. The guests were so much at ease, anyone would strike up a conversation like they were old friends. We will definitely be back!! Kathy and Sammy

2.4 on April 15, 2014
This bed and breakfast could be really charming, but the decor goes a little too far and borders on being tacky. We stayed in the Dolphin room. The bed would have been comfortable except for the mattress pad which had a vinyl backing, leading to a crinkly sound every time you moved and feeling clammy from the heat of your body against that vinyl. It was like sleeping on an air mattress. The room and bath were clean but electrical outlets in the bathroom are poorly placed and not convenient to a mirror. Did not receive any clean towels on the second day of our stay. Breakfasts were bland. Location is very quiet and peaceful. Close to beach access and Tybee Lighthouse. Good recommendations for other meals at North Beach Bar & Grill and Sundae Cafe.

Overall our stay was excellent. The owner and staff were very accommodating. Our room (Flamingo) was small but very quaint and well maintained. Our favorite part was the private seating area complete with a spacious porch swing. The trees complete with Spanish moss and a fountain was also very relaxing. The house was within walking distance to the beach and area shops.

We spent a wonderfully relaxing couple of days at the Tybee Island Inn. Gary and Lloyd are wonderful innkeepers. The afternoon sweet treat was just that - a treat. The Lighthouse room, at the top of the house, is delightful. You have your own little nest in the beautiful old tree and the view of the lighthouse is great. The bed was extrememly confortable.

The inn had a warm Georgian beach feel, Mr. Lloyd and the staff made you feel like you were at home. It was clean and neat. They offered beach chairs and beach towels. The Tybee Island Inn is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy both Tybee and Savannah. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. We stayed in the Lighthouse room on the second floor. It was spacious and comfortable with a king bed. the innkeeper, Lloyd was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Tybee and Savannah. The 2 restaurants he suggested were great. The beach is near by but you would have to walk a ways up or down the beach to swim because of the jetties. you can walk to restaurants and to the main area of town (about 2 miles to the latter). The breakfasts were outstanding! Croissant french toast one morning and a torte with pork tenderloin, cheese, eggs and craisins along with great grits, Each night there is some sort of dessert (apple cobbler one and brownies the second). All in all we had a wonderful time and plan to go back at some time.

Tybee Island Inn is a great place to get away from it all. It was very quiet and close to everything on Tybee. Granted we went off season, which may account for how quiet it was, but hopefully we plan to go back when it is a little warmer!:) The staff is there if you need them or if you don't, you are left alone--very peaceful.

While traveling, my husband and I usually stay in hotels. We wanted the experience of staying at a B&B and could not have been more happy. Tybee Island inn's gardens were story book beautiful. The Inn itself was warm, cozy and inviting. Lloyd and Gary were gracious hosts. They made every effort to make us comfortable, give us advice and feed us. And boy did they feed us. The breakfasts were delicious and creative. There was always some beautiful dessert and coffee set out for us, should we get hungry. Our room was warm and cozy. The bed was very comfy and it was made daily, along with a fresh supply of towels. We were spoiled while there and definitely will return. On our last morning there Gary made us wonderful omelette's with potatoes and fresh fruit. Very generous and kind hosts. They set the bar high for any future B&B's that we may visit. Leaving there was unlike checking out of a standard hotel...it was more like saying bye to friends. Pam & Mike

The staff was courteous and very personable. The breakfast was delicious as well as the cake that was baked and left for everyone to enjoy. We were greeted and provided with a wealth of information of the surrounding area, including the best restaurants, shopping, etc. All of the recommendations were spot on. We are looking forwarding to going back to experience the Inn during the spring or summer. Greg Stockbridge, GA

My husband had a small job to do in Savannah and we chose to stay on Tybee. He is a stay-at-home kind of person but he loved our stay at the Inn. We were very impressed with the charming atmosphere and friendly service. My husband had to be in Savannah so early that he missed breakfast (which was amazing!) and the innkeeper made him wonderful breakfasts and left them in the fridge for him with directions on how to heat them up. That is above and beyond! We loved the gardens, the rooms and the close access to everything. I was able to walk almost everywhere I wanted to go. The beach was a 3-4 minute walk and the Inn provided a chair and beach towel. My stay-at-home husband can't wait to go back. We are planning to start a new tradition and go back every fall!

Maybe we aren't bed and breakfast people or maybe we just came at a bad time, but our visit wasn't as nice as we hoped. Our room was clean when we arrived for our two night stay, but no one came to change out towels or empty the trash. Also, my wife and I are early risers and we like our morning coffee, but none was available until 9 AM. I was grateful that they provided an iron that you could use, but there wasn't an ironing board. The rooms have quirky layouts usually putting bathrooms in odd places (either up a steep spiral staircase or with a door right onto the main hallway). There were definitely good things about our visit. The grounds are beautiful and the common areas were comfortable. The breakfast and snacks were very good and the innkeepers were very warm and accomodating.

Needed a overnight stay and choose Tybee Island Inn. What a wonderful experience, the room was excellent, very quiet and probably the best sleep I had in a long while. In the morning the coffee was waiting and the breakfast was perfect. It seemed like I had my own wait staff. Julie, the chef, was very professional and made my breakfast to order. Lloyd and Cathy are perfect hosts. They know where to go and how to get there. I can't wait until I can do this again. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

The gardens are beautiful with many little private sitting areas in which to relax. The inn is quaint and pretty. The themed rooms are a fun touch and furnished with home-like furnishings, as opposed to motel-like decor, which gives a very welcoming feel.

Great place to stay, interesting historic building, warm and friendly staff, creative and varied breakfast every morning, sure to please any palate, easy walk to beach and historic lighthouse, quiet during the day and night. This was our honeymoon, and we plan to return. Loved Tybee Island Inn!

We had a really nice, albeit short, stay at the Inn. The welcome was warm, the glass of wine and plate of peach pie upon checking in was delicious, and the bed was comfortable.

We had an okay experience for part of our stay at Tybee Island Inn. I had been advised by the owner Lloyd when I made the reservation that it was the smallest room and about the narrow spiral staircase to the bathroom on the second floor, which was somewhat inconvenient. We stayed in the Flamingo Room, on the basement level. It was the most private room with its own entrance, and would have been fine if it not for the crazy rain we experienced our second night. We were watching TV from bed and noted the heavy rain but weren't concerned until around 9pm when my husband got up and stepped into about 2 inches of water. Water was seeping in between the exterior wall and floor. We contacted the inn owner immediately and he returned our call within a few minutes and came down to check the situation out. He started wet vac-ing out the water, but after about 20 minutes, it wasn't any better and we were sitting there watching in our pajamas at (my husband did help for a bit). Obviously we weren't going to stay and no other rooms were available, so Lloyd called a nearby B&B and found us a room. So we packed up necessities only and headed out in our pjs. When we returned for breakfast the next day, the standing water was gone, but the floor was still wet and it smelled damp and musty. Lloyd asked us if we would consider staying in the room for the remaining night, but we said no way. He was able to arrange for us to stay in the same place as the night before, at his expense. The place we ended up staying at was actually much nicer/more expensive, so I didn't really feel like we were owed anything even though the experience was pretty inconvenient. Don't know if I'd stay here again, but definitely not in the same room.

This is the first time myself or my girlfriend had stayed in a bed and breakfast we didn't really know what to expect. Gary and Lloyd started us off with a friendly welcome. We were invited into the home in a way that made us feel like we were visiting family. I had flowers put in the room and my girlfriend loved them. They were beautiful but with a handmade feel to them. There was the best blueberry cobbler sitting out for us to enjoy. The room was very comfy and clean. The living room was very inviting but the outdoor sitting areas was our choice. It was a very short walk to the beach. The staff did their best to inform us of everything around us. Gary made an awesome gourmet breakfast. Our stay was perfect. We will return…..soon!! Well worth the price.

Our experience at this Bed & Breakfast Inn turned out better than we had thought it would be. We are accustomed to hotels and resorts, so this type of stay was something new to us. Our first night we arrived extremely late due to bad weather on the road The owner must have fallen asleep, because we couldn't reach him. It wasn't a problem, because the Inn was not that hard to find, even in the dark. When we walked in, we weren't sure what to do, because no one was there to check us in. Regardless, we decided to go into our room and go to bed. When we got ready the next morning and checked in with the owner. We decided to sleep in and miss the breakfast because we were tired. To our surprise, they saved us warm plates of food, and delivered it to our room. We know that can't be a common practice with people who miss breakfast (so don't count on it), but their extra mile taken to accommodate us was more than appreciated. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and even the company. We are not outgoing people, and we definitely are not used to living within close quarters of others, but we really didn't mind being around the other people. At first it felt a little awkward, but that feeling quickly dismissed. The Dolphin room was very comfortable, and the food was amazing. Their cook is really talented. No disappointments there. We loved the location. We were far enough away from the busy areas, but were close enough to access a lot of the surrounding attractions, restaurants and beach within walking distance. We didn't think we'd enjoy a B&B as much as we did here. We definitely recommend this Inn!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tybee Island Inn. The staff was gracious and welcoming and had great suggestions on dining and attractions. We appreciated having snacks and drinks to enjoy. Having a freshly made treat in the afternoons was really nice. Our room was quite large and comfortable. The breakfasts were good - no complaints - but by comparison to other B&Bs we've stayed at, it was nothing particularly memorable. We would stay there again and would recommend it to friends.

From the moment of our arrival until our departure the staff eagerly and pleasantly worked at making our stay enjoyable. The grounds are tastefully landscaped with several shaded areas incorporated into the plan to provide comfortable outside sitting areas notwithstanding the summer Georgia heat and humidity. The interior common areas are clean, comfortable and chocked full of interesting furnishings. Our room was spacious with perhaps the most comfortable bed I've experienced in a B&B. the sheets and towels were first class. To top it off the breakfast was delicious. We will be back for a longer stay.

My husband and I made the just under 3 hour trip south from Charleston, to celebrate our 19 year anniversary. We were thrilled with our choice to stay on the "quieter" end of the island. Just the view from the front porch alone, was worth not having beach front. Although, access was less than 1 block away. There was always fresh coffee on, hot tea, if you wish, and the afternoon snack of pineapple, orange bundt cake was out of this world! Breakfast? WOW!! I could have eaten my wieght in the stuffed strawberries alone!! The staff was beyond friendly and so accomodating! Have no fear, if you forget your towels, sunscreen, hats, chairs, or even a blow dryer, they have it all! Thanks again guys, we loved our quick trip to paradise! Give Gertrude a scratch behind the ears for us!

We visited Tybee Island at the end of April and stayed at the Tybee Island Bed & Breakfast. Everything was just fantastic. The food was good, the room was clean, the people couldn't have been friendlier. I would certainly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Tybee Island. We would definitely stay here again on future visits to Tybee!

The Tybee Island Inn Bed and Breakfast was the most delightful and relaxing place we have ever experienced. Lloyd and his fantastic team do what ever it takes to make your experience memorable and worry free. Gary, the chef, whipped up the most scrumptious, palate pleasing breakfasts. There was always a snack in the kitchen to tempt the passer-by. With everything accessible to us, we felt like we had the whole house to ourselves. A home away from home. Cathy's decorating was endless conversation pieces and the history that surrounds TIIB&B was fascinating. When tropical storm Andrea threatened to wash out our beach wedding, the staff remained positive and prepared the Inn for plan B. Fortunately, we were able to have our dream wedding on the beach as planned. We will definitely stay here again! Our 2 guests stayed at another location and were disappointed with the service and 'continental breakfast' they were served there. There is no comparison to the mouth watering dishes Gary prepared for us at Tybee Island Inn B&B! Thank you all so much for taking such excellent care of us in more ways than you know. You are now part of our family! Blessings back to you all!

We stayed in the Flamingo room, which was a great, quaint room with its own private porch and personal parking spot! (Not recommended for people who are unwilling to use a narrow spiral staircase, but we thought this added to the charm of the room.) We were there for two nights on our honeymoon, and it was everything we could have wanted. Chef Gary cooked us an amazing breakfast both mornings! It is a 2-3 minute walk from the beach. Gary and Lloyd were extremely helpful in providing recommendations for eating venues, entertainment, rentals, etc. We felt very much at home at the Tybee Island Bed and Breakfast!

I can't not say enough wonderful things about my stay at the Tybee Island Inn Bed and Breakfast. I was so pleasantly surprised by the gourmet quality of the food. It was truly delectable. I can't wait to return!

The inn and grounds are beautiful! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was next to the kitchen and eating area, which I was concerned about. Everyone was quiet and respectful. No noise issues whatsoever. After our wedding night, we didn't make it down to breakfast. The owners made us plates and saved them until we were up and around.

We stayed with Lloyd and Kathy (with Gary as head chef) over the Memorial Day week-end. Everything was wonderful. The breakfasts are so yummy and the mid-afternoon "snack/dessert" was fabulous every day. The inn is a tiny, short walk to a wonderful beach (the quiet end of the Island), and there are at least 4 great restaurants within walking distance. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely return~

I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone. Rebecca

This place was fabulous! Only 300 yards from the beach. The owners of the b&b joined us for breakfast and were helpful and beyond welcoming. Gary, the innkeeper/chef was brilliant. I stayed for 5 nights along with my son and two of our friends. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family. The owners, Lloyd and Kathy are great and the rooms are wonderful. The chef, Gary, prepares gourmet breakfasts and wonderful desserts daily for afternoon or evening snacking. Gary is the best, he is personable and really cares that the guests are taken care of. He even went and got a birthday cake for me that my son wanted to get for me while we were there. We are already planning our next trip. Wonderful, wonderful!!
5 on April 29, 2013
We decided to travel to Tybee Island after seeing 'The Last Song'. The Inn is in a gorgeous part of the island far enough away from the shops to be peaceful but close enough to reach on foot. We were visiting during my mother's birthday and I wanted to surprise her with a birthday cake, but the IGA was out of walking distance so the chef offered to go out and get the cake for me while we were out enjoying our day. That is something that in my opinion a large corporation or other hotel/inn would never do for their customers. On top of that there is a delicious home cooked breakfast every morning to go along with the cozy rooms and outstanding service. There are plenty of fantastic places to eat in the surrounding area including the Sugar Shack, North Beach Bar and Grill, and Sundae Cafe. I would without a doubt advise anyone to stay here if they want to enjoy their vacation. I have traveled all over the United States and this is without a doubt the absolute best service and place I've ever traveled to. We are now planning on making a trip here every year.

Tybee Island Inn B&B is an awesome addition to the Tybee Island experience! The staff members there are incredible, super friendly and always willing to help give you great advice on things to do on the Island. My wife and I spent 4 days at the Inn and we miss it already! The breakfast that was served was amazing and was different each morning. Then as an extra added special touch they always had an amazing dessert ready for you to help yourself to in the evening! If you are thinking about experiencing Tybee Island for the 1st time or the 100th time, this is the place to stay!!

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All staff were very open, warm, welcoming and made us feel a part of this lovely home. Good location for walks to dinner, the Lighthouse and strolls along the beach. Nearby attractions but still felt off the high flow path in a nice neighborhood away from the tourist traffic we experienced further south. We look forward to a second visit to Georgia and will factor a stay back at Tybee Island Inn as a requirement.

My husband was a little apprehensive about staying at a bed and breakfast since we have always stayed at hotels. Specifically he was nervous about privacy and space. We were both pleasantly surprised with the experience. Prior to arriving I requested another room that had become available and it was switched with no problems. Our first expression was that it was a lovely place. We walked in and we were impressed with the layout and the neatness of everything. It was cozy but not claustrophobic. Our host Gary was not only extremely friendly and informative - but makes a delicious breakfast and killer blueberry pineapple cobbler. Overall we had a great time and hope to visit again some day!!!!

My husband and I wanted to get away from reality for a couple of days, and we couldn't have picked a more suitable location for this purpose. This quaint little Inn is located on Tybee Island, just outside of Savannah. We stayed in the lighthouse room, which had a porch overlooking the beautiful garden of the front yard. The house is very old, circa 1902, but it was kept impeccably clean and tidied. Gary, the innkeeper, was such a delightful gentleman who cooked the most amazing breakfasts each morning! He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed at all times. The bed in our room was extremely comfortable, with the softest sheets and pillows. My husband is prone to tossing and turning, even at home, but he slept though both nights without interruption. The Tybee Island Inn was truly a home away from home, and we are looking forward to our next stay!

My husband and I wanted to go somewhere near/on the beach offseason for our honeymoon. Tybee Island Inn B&B was the perfect spot. The Inn is in the historic Fort Screven district on the north side of the island which is perfect if you want something quieter (which we did). The massive front garden is beautiful with some gorgeous live oaks; we sat out there reading or enjoying a cocktail most evenings of our trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and willing to accommodate requests. Breakfast was always tastey and the afternoon snack is a great little treat. We were leaving before breakfast on our last day and they offered to make us up something to go, which I haven't had happen at other B&Bs I've stayed in. This was the perfect place to retreat too and we will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I were looking for something special to do to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We certainly found something special with Tybee Island Inn! The owners and innkeepers are very gracious and go out of their way to help make their guests comfortable. Lloyd was always ready with suggestions or tips on local attractions, restaurants, and fun things to do. The breakfasts were excellent, and we enjoyed sitting down with the other guests each morning to discuss plans for the day and give each other "reviews" on the local restaurants we had tried. Besides the delicious breakfasts, there is also a lovely treat prepared each afternoon and available for guests to help themselves to, along with coffee and tea. We stayed in the Mermaid Room, which we found to be spacious and comfortable. Our private bathroom was also large and newly renovated. The only negative I could give is that this is the bedroom closest to the lobby, so we could oftentimes hear conversations being held in the lobby area. The beach is only a 5-10 minute walk away from the front door, as well as the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Several restaurants are also within walking distance, or just a few minutes drive away. And of course, historic downtown Savannah is just a 15-minute drive out, or you can take a shuttle into the city. We enjoyed our stay at Tybee Island Inn immensely and would not hesitate recommend it to anyone!

Lloyd was great, but Greg(chef extroidinare) was the gem. He offered Hot dogs cooked on the grill(in the evening) which coincided with our staying in for the evening."Perfect". He responded with a smile(genuine) to every request, which he resolved. The Breakfasts were sooo good. Coffee was great for this coffee snob. Fresh OJ. The weather in March was a bit dodgey, but we lucked out in our days there. It was beautiful, and I could of stayed at the B&B the entire 3 days. My only complaint is the shower in the room. It was one of those prefab "Tiny" showers, which made a cruise ship(shower) look queen size. It was very odd, the shower nozzle pointed at the door and sprayed on the floor while adjusting the temp. No hand held nozzle, which would of alleviated this probem and many more. I WILL be back to this beautiful gem on Tybee. maybe a different room with a "real" shower. LOL Thank you Lloyd.

JWe thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the TYbee Island Inn. We were met upon arrival and given a quick tour. Help was always around if you encountered a problem (remote TV issue). Our room was the best in the place from what I could tell. Everything was clean and comfortable and made us feel "right at home". The butler pantry offered everything you would need. WOnderful sweets were provided late afternoon and beautiful breakfast each morning. We were there in off season so not a lot going on but we enjoyed the quiet time. Easy walk to lighhouse property and short drive (20 minutes) to Savannah. I would highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights in mid January and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and pace at Tybee, and by the comfort and friendliness at Tybee Island Inn. We will probably only be back in the slow times of year because it looked like it could get very crowded on the beach and in the restaurants.

What a fantastic time we had on Tybee Island and our accommodations at Tybee Island Inn were simply the BEST! Staff is attentive and caring, food was exceptional, the different themed rooms made us smile, sheets soft for sleeping, rooms were quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. My husband has never been excited about a B & B, and I'm happy to report that after our super time at Tybee Island Inn, he's ready to do it again!! We'll be back!!

Wonderful few days at Tybee Island Inn. Hospitality was wonderful. We felt like we were home, except that someone made breakfast for us. Loved every minute.

We stayed in the "Flamingo" room, the only room to allow pets. This room is not for the faint of heart. Make sure you read the description! If you are physically challanged in any way, this room is not for you. The room was clean and pleasant. The bath arrangement was different to say the least. The common areas were excellent; nicely appointed and very clean. Breakfast was excellent!! The staff is pleasant and helpful. Be forwarned!! Pets are not allowed on the beach!! If we had known this we would not have brought the dog and could have stayed in one of the upstairs rooms which are excellent. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future (without the dog!).

Great B&B. very cute, clean and very nice rooms. Super friendly staff, perhaps too friendly after a day of travel. Definitely on the pricey side of things. Breakfast was not all that good and left something to be desired, but maybe I'm just a picky eater. Would recommend it overall as the rooms are great.

Lloyd gave us such personal service and hospitality when we first arrived. Despite rainy weather, we loved our time at Tybee Island in December. We're already planning our next trip this summer!
5 on December 24, 2012
Best BnB either of us (mom or myself) has ever stayed at. (FYI including BnBs worldwide). Even in December, the gardens were absolutely gorgeous, and everthing inside and out was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Beds and linens were Tip-Top quality and comfort, guest ammenities were plentiful, and the breakfasts and daily homemade goodies were scrumptious! Lloyd was the MOST gracious host, freely helping with ideas on restaurants and activities for the island. I will absolutely, most definitely stay here the next time I'm anywhere near Tybee. Already planning to visit again during the summer months! And I will want to stay again in The Lighthouse Room, up in the trees with the most wonderful deck and view!

This INN is wonderful, no complaints worth mentioning, just a wonderful stay. if you want a stay with a short walk to beach, this is it. Thanks for a great Anniversary

This was our first time staying at the Inn. We were greeted with a sign welcoming us on the porch and molten chocolate cakes. Lloyd took time to talk to us and gave us a tour of our room. He recommended places to eat and things to do. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The room was absolutely wonderful, the breakfast was delicious. Lloyd and Kathy were wonderful host. We will definitely be coming back to the Inn. It was located on the North end near the lighthouse, within walking distance. I highly recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a very warm and inviting experience.

This was an adorable little Inn. It felt like you were staying with family, very warm and inviting. The rooster is gone now (or at least it did not crow at all). It was a leisurely drive from Savannah (about 20-30 minutes), and very close to the beach, lighthouse, restaurants, and John Mellencamp's abode! This is definitely a relaxation spot and is geared for an older crowd...very quiet. This B&B has exceptional food! We were served a super filling gourmet breakfast each morning and were able to taste a sweet treat each evening. The food here was my favorite part of our vacation. They also took care of making your bed and cleaning the room so you did not have to lift a finger. We stayed in the Dolphin room which was quaint though a little light-blocking in terms of window coverings and a window that led to the stairwell would have been preferred. Also, keep in mind you do not have control over the thermostat at this Inn though they had a fan there to use which did a pretty good job. I will say for us it's best for a weekend trip or to utilize the Groupon deal as we prefer a hotel atmosphere for longer trips and it was a bit on the pricey side without the discount. Keep in mind it's an older building and very quiet so you can hear people from time to time, though overall our stay was really lovely and it was a joy to meet the Inn keepers/ fellowguests.

From the first warm greeting-- to our departure, the staff at the Tybee Island Inn B&B made us feel like family. Our room was clean, comfortable and cozy. The breakfasts were delicious and special treats in the butler's pantry a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the proximity to the lighthouse and the easy walkability of the Fort Screven neighborhood. Treat yourself to a delightful stay at this wonderful B&B.

A great deal! The room we had (Savannah Beach) was large, spacious, and had a very nice bath. The king-size bed was comfortable. A nice friendly atmosphere prevailed throughout our stay. Tybee Island Inn is remote and resides in one of Georgia's most historic areas. Yet it is convenient to the shopping and attractions in the downtown Savannah area. This was out first B&B experience and we were pleasantly surprised. The Tybee Inn is small, but quaint. It was very warm and inviting. What it lacked in size, it certainly made up for in hospitality. Our room was one of the smaller units with a spiral staircase to the bathroom which was really the only setback. However, it was clean and cozy. The owner Lloyd is very knowledgeable in regards to the Tybee and Savannah happenings and eager to assist with any of your needs. Our meals were delightful and looked and tasted like a five star culinary experience. We also were greeted with fresh treats at all hours to welcome us back home. It truly felt like a home away from home and all the guests seemed to enjoy the entire ambiance created. We would love to go back.

Our accomodations were lovely, comfortable, and clean. The balcony off the Lighthouse Room was like being in a treehouse with live oak limbs all around it. Our Innkeeper, Lloyd, was friendly and available whenever needed. Breakfasts were generous and delicious-not to mention the yummy snacks left in the kitchen/snack area every day for guests. The talented cook shared a recipe with me and I count it as a valuable souvenier!

We used their groupon offer, and staying for 2 nights, had to switch rooms. The first night we were in the incredible Captian's Quarters- too huge and wonderful too describe except a spiral staircase, and huge clawfoot copper tub! wow! the 2nd night we were in the Savannah Beach room, which was also lovely. They had towels for the beach, less than a 5 minute walk away, were extremely helpful upon check-in and throughout our stay. High recommend them- we hope to stay again.

From the warm and very helpful, knowledgable host Lloyd to the hearty and tasty breakfast to the comfy rooms (I stayed in Sea Cabin and Dolphin), my last minute trip to Tybee Island Inn was relaxing and easy - just couldn't have been better. And its location in quiet, lovely North beach made it convenient both to strolls along the shore and easy walk to great restaurants (especially Sundae Cafe!). Hope to return!

My wife and I had a wonderful night's stay in the Dolphin Room. The room was great--soft sheets, cool decor, awesome private balcony, and the inn itself was very charming. Lloyd is a wonderful host and full of insightful recommendations and tips! We were greeted with a delicious blueberry/pineapple cobbler treat and there were big tubs of ice cream in the freezer--perfect for a late night snack! My wife and I had a great time here celebrating our 3rd anniversay. I would highly recommend staying here, and we'll definitely be back!

We stayed at the Pelican Cottage for an extended weekend in early September and it was an interesting experience. Despite the fact that this is 2012, the website only provided written directions to the cottage instead of the actual address, which comes in handy if you are using GPS and have never been to Tybee Island before. We didn't realize that the cottage was located off-site from the actual property, so like fools we drove to the home office and no one was available to direct us to the location. I eventually spoke with a representative from the B&B and she set us on course to the cottage--but it took close to an hour for that to happen. In short, I recommend that the company put the address on the website to clear up any confusion. When we arrived, we were both impressed by the simple yet elegant appeal of the room. It had precisely what was needed for a weekend getaway and was perfect for a couple with a small dog (20 pounds or less). The room scored top marks for overall appearance and cleanliness. In terms of value, I am the first to admit that I know nothing about hotel management and how much to charge for a room, but I don't see how a room that is not actually on the beach can cost upwards of $140 per night. Personally, I liked the room but thought the price was a bit high for the actual, physical location. I rated the dining average because the cottage didn't provide any food. We ate at restaurants on and off the island, so it doesn't seem right to associate their product(s) with the B&B when they have no connection. I'm sure the food at the B&B was excellent. The Pelican Cottage is a wonderful place to spend a weekend. I feel that if its parent company will put the address on the website, or perhaps e-mail it to the next occupants, it will make travel go more smoothly. I recommend staying there if you are in need of a simple place with a good location.

My husband and I spent two days/nights in Savannah and two in Tybee Island. We both agreed we should have spent the entire time at Tybee island. Cool, laid back atmosphere and great beaches within walking distance to where we stayed - the Tybee Island Inn. The Inn was a great choice. A nice comfortable room, outstanding breakfasts and service from the innkeeper, Wendy. She was super friendly and really took care of us. The inn provides beach chairs, beach towels and mats, and even sunhats. Relaxing porch and seating in the beautiful shaded garden area was perfect for the time between the beach and dinner. We highly recommend this B&B.

My wife and I went here for a weekend getaway, and neither of us had been to Tybee before. The overall stay experience was nice, I was impressed with the location and the cleanliness of the room, the island however not so much. I have stayed in St. Simons for most of my life and my wife has stayed in Jekyll alot as well, so we are used to the "old preserved" feel of those islands, and this is not what Tybee was. It was something of a mix between myrtle beach and pananma city, the beaches were beautiful, but it feels like the island was built in the 70's and never renovated. Also, the locals were not that friendly, there was s sign outside the only grocery store that we found on the island that read "34 days till back to normal." We were not sure if they were renovating and i gave them the benefit of the doubt, but when we tried to go in we found out that they were closed at 9, it was about 915, but there was no sign posted with their hours, and the other people with us, also not from the island, were very upset. It did not bother me very much, but for an island that i can only assume gets most of its income from tourism, putting that sign up and not posting hours was not smart. Also, we went to 3 total restaurants, the Fannies on the beach, the marlin monroe's, and the crab shack. The service at both Fannie's, and Marlin Monroes was sub par at best. We went to Fannies for dinner and they were not busy but were super slow, and the staff sat around for most of the time talking and hanging out near the front, and at Marlin's the hostess was on her cell phone and my wife and I waited about 10 min for seating. However, the crab shack was a good experience, I highly recommend it. Overall my stay was nice, and we will consider Tybee again for another weekend getaway.

We stayed in the Mermaid Room, which was very spacious and incredibly clean. Breakfast is served every morning at 9 AM and after the first day we found ourselves looking forward to each morning's breakfast surprise. We had baked eggs, homemade blueberry muffins, blueberry glazed french toast, a delectable apple strudel and a piping hot vegetable and egg casserole. We came in from the beach to find different cakes and cookies to snack on in the afternoons as well. All were delicious.

You won't be let down by the price or the service.

We always enjoy staying at a B&B with history attached to it. The Tybee Inn has history galore. How about spending the night in a B&B where Gen Marshall came by frequently(Tybee Inn is the former Day Room of the Ft. Screvens Hospital). The Tybee Inn was built in 1902 and you can see the designation by the front door as you enter. Aside from the history the place is just facinating with the 200+ year-old Live Oaks and the moss hanging from the outreached branches. Boy do I men B RANCHES The landscaping is just breathtaking. The staff is just like family. Don't forget the food, WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! The Atlantic Ocean is just a short walk away. We will be back!!

I can't say enough good things about our time at the Tybee Island Inn. It was my first stay at a bed and breakfast and I chose this one because of the reviews on TripAdvisor, the previous guests were right when rating this wonderful and comfortable place. We stayed in 2 rooms because we were able to extend our stay after the initial reservation was made but the dolphin room wasn't available for our additional nights so we moved to the Savannah room. Both rooms were wonderful, the beds were very comfortable and we fell asleep effortlessly every night. The breakfasts were delicious and the conversation at the breakfast table enhanced the experience. I informed them of our dietary needs upon arrival and they were very accommodating. Lloyd was the best host I could have asked for, he answered any questions we had and offered tips on where to go on the island. Our favorite place was the front porch where we were able to talk to other guests and enjoy the conversations, the breeze and the beautiful garden. Last thing I must comment on is the afternoon treats, do not pass on these they are Delicious!

The people at the Tybee Island Inn Bed & Breakfast were most accommodating, even before my arrival with prompt answers to my inquiries as to parking and reservation confirmations. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the friendly Inn Keeper, and shown to my room and made most welcome and comfortable. My room was the Sea Cabin off the butler's pantry, and was a perfect space for my stay. I would absolutely want to return and stay in this room again, or any room at this wonderful bed and breakfast. My trip was a short one, and I had to leave before the serving of the 9:00am breakfast (which smelled wonderful as it was cooking), so the staff packed me a snack and offered coffee to travel with me. Therefore, I did not rate the dining, but am sure had I stayed to dine, it would also have been outstanding! Thank you very much for your hospitality, courtesy, and friendship during my short stay. I look forward to coming back to Tybee Island again, and will always plan my stays at the Tybee Island Inn Bed and Breakfast. My only recommendation to travelers using GPS: make sure you enter 24 Van Horne Avenue, and not "Street" as I did, and you will not have problems finding this wonderful Inn. Ron Flax Sumter, S.C.

My husband and I stayed at the Tybee Island Inn June 19th – 21st as a Babymoon getaway. Lloyd the Innkeeper made us feel welcome and went beyond the call of duty. My original reservations were for one night only, but at the last second we decided that we would like to escape a day early. The Flamingo was the only room available and although it is pet friendly, Lloyd worried that it would not be pregnancy friendly, as it features a rather steep spiral staircase leading to the bathroom. I told Lloyd we’d make the best of things and to expect us around nine that evening. We arrived to find a lovely old beach home, situated in a quite spot on the north end of the island, and surrounded by a lush garden. The entire property is guarded by a live oak tree; we loved the property. Our room was pleasing. The staircase was indeed steep, but the room and its location were nice. With a private entrance on the backside of the main house; the room had a feeling of seclusion. It also came with its own private parking lot, which made luggage handling very easy. My favorite part of the room was the loft bath, decorated with a treasure trove of gilded mirrors in different shapes and sizes. The effect was enchanting, sort of a turn of the century boudoir. The second night of our stay we migrated to our originally booked room, the Sea Cabin. I say that we migrated but in fact, WE didn’t. Lloyd migrated our luggage. The Sea Cabin was wonderful. Running along one side of the main house; it features a bedroom, setting room and bath with a nautical theme throughout. We could not have been more pleased. Breakfast both mornings was excellent and plentiful. The first morning we had a spinach quiche, Italian sausage, and blueberry muffins with crème fresh and sliced strawberries. On day two, breakfast was a stuffed French toasted croissant topped with fried apples and a walnut butter, bacon and fresh fruit. There was also a well stocked butler’s pantry which offered various goodies.

Charming. Quirky. Friendly. Relaxing. Just what you would expect from a great B&B. I would like to write this for the people like myself that read so many reviews on so many places you start to get confused. Just go with the Tybee Island Inn, you won't regret it, I didn't. It isn't a 5 star hotel, so ignore any reviews that judge it like one. It is a quaint little Inn on the quiet end of the island that provides exactly what one should expect from a B&B. My wife and I will without a doubt be back if we decide to vacation in the area again. They provided an excellent experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We wish we could have stayed longer. The location was excellent - within walking distance to the beach, the lighthouse and a restaurant. The room was lovely and clean as can be. Kathy, the innkeeper was a wealth of information and so sweet - a great cook to boot! The breakfast was delish. If we are ever in the area again, we will be sure to stay there.

It was hard for us to find (we had never been on the island), but once we arrived we were impressed with the beautiful gardens. Then the beauty continued on to the interior. Overall we were very impressed with Tybee Island Inn and are planning on returning.

Had a very nice stay at the Tybee Island B&B. Stayed in the Savannah Beach room on the main floor that was very quiet. Only issue with the room Is the shower faucet is awkwardly placed on the side of the tub. Kathy the innkeeper and Lloyd the owner are super nice folks. Enjoyed chatting with them. Breakfast was great. Inn is located on the quiet north end of Tybee close to the beach. Short drive into Savannah. Will definately visit again.

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Kathy and Jackie the inn keepers not only are awesome cooks, they were very kind and thoughtful. Kathy made sure to let us know of the wonderful treasures Tybee Island has to offer including dining, sites and how to get around easy and cheap. This was a real blessing for us since we have never been there. We highly recommend to family and friends to visit and we would love to go back soon as well. The house itself is truly charming. We just loved the history behind it as well as the quite time reflecting on our memories on the porch swing.

The B&B was close by everything but tucked away far enough that you weren't on the most crowded part of the beach. Charming Tybee Island Inn is a peaceful retreat a short walk to the beach or lighthouse. Great service, beautiful garden, great location, super breakfast (thanks, Kathy!). Only downer for us was the Sea Cabin room we were in, which was pretty marginal. But really, no biggie, we weren't there to hang out in the room anyway. Fascinating to walk down officer's row nearby.

The Tybee Island Inn is southern hospitality at its best...from the beautiful courtyard out front to the warmth and kindness inside. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We had the pleasure of staying in the Lighthouse room that has its own balcony hidden amongst the magnificent hanging moss lined branches of the beautiful old oak trees that add romance to such a beautiful place.

We stopped by Tybee Island on the way back home from northern Georgia to Ft. Lauderdale. It was a lovely stay....Kathy was very accomidating and friendly....house was homey and relaxing..breakfast was yummy! Very enjoyable placed to stay...other guests were very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect, would love to stay longer next time!

We stayed in the Pelican Cottage and it was much bigger than I expected with a large screened in patio and floating dock which was great for coffee in the mornings or drinks in the evening. The space was clean and neat. Everything worked properly and the staff was very accommodating. I will definitely stay here again!

We loved Tybee Island Inn B&B!! The place is extremely nice and clean and the innkeepers are fabulous. They provide such a welcoming atmosphere and there is a refrigerator for the guests to use and place any of their own food and snacks in. Speaking of snacks, Kathy kept a delicious assortment of snacks out the whole time and we had to pass these tempting snacks every time that we came in or out of our room. Needless to say between us and the other guests they never went to waste. Kathy also makes an incredible breakfast that you will love. The outside area of the B&B is also gorgeous as you will see from the pictures. That old tree that hangs over the entire front yard with the spanish moss growing from it is incredible. We really enjoyed the front porch and swing, as well as the gazebo. One more great thing about this B&B is it's location. You literally only have to walk a couple hundred yards to the beach which made it great to wake up and walk down to the beach every morning to catch the sunrise. You will love this place!

Stay here rather than in downtown Savannah (though we were there off season - might not be so charming when crammed full of beach-goers). Friendly, funky and fun. They need a better breakfast chef, but food was certainly ok. Go to North Beach Grill (near the lighthouse) for an excellent informal dinner.

My husband and I stayed in the Dolphin room. The room was beautiful and had a lot more room than we first thought. Cathy, in the innkeeper, was always there with a smile and a warm greeting. We look forward to returning to Tybee Island Inn again. Thanks for everything!

We absolutely loved staying here! The "Captains Quarters" were so unique and interesting that we found something to talk about every day. The decor will captivate you and have you asking questions to the innkeeper. I don't want to take away from your stay, so it's my secret. Just make sure you really look at everything from the doors, to the things hanging on the walls, everything has its own story. We trully enjoyed time with the innkeeper and her breakfasts were outstanding, with plenty to go around! We can't wait to come back and stay for awhile longer. My only complaint was, we weren't here longer.

Innkeeper on phone at first denied being part of 2nd night free program, but after I read the entry in the B&B Book, he said he would honor it (and did, with no further problem). I chose the best available room (I thought) but was chagrined to realize the bathroom was reachable only by climbing a treacherous tightly winding metal staircase....the room itself was in the basement.. This should have been made clear before I arrived. All else was nicely done, but this property is not up to the usual standards found in the Historical Inns B&B Book, especially as we paid over $200 .

Cathy made us comfortable from the start. Her breakfasts were tasty and appealing to the eye. A very pleasant place inside and out.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tybee Island Inn with a Groupon. Although it was very pleasant and comfortable, it lacked the luxury expected at the full price. We would definitely return with another Groupon. The public areas were nice, and we especially enjoyed access to the small kitchen which contained homemade cookies, coffee, ice cream, etc. Breakfast was delicious. The Innkeeper went out of her way to make sure that we had anything we needed or wanted. We felt like we were visiting old friends. One of the best things about our stay was how quiet and relaxing it was. We stayed in the Sea Cabin room for 2 nights. The unusual room was very narrow and long. Pictures on the website are accurate. Our room was quite warm, but we were able to open the windows and sleep with a wonderful breeze. There is a large tub, but the shower is quite small. At first we were concerned about noise since the room opens directly from the guest kitchen, but this was never a problem. Tybee beach is only a few minutes away, and it is an easy walk down to the lighthouse and a beachfront "cafe". There are beautiful homes in the area making for very pleasant walks. We also spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch or at the tables in the front garden under the huge Oak tree. This was a gorgeous setting.

We stayed in the Flamingo Room. It was much smaller than pictured. We knew there was a spiral staircase up to the bathroom but the shower is right at the foot of the landing and the separate toilet/sink area up there is in an area the size of a tiny closet and situated so that it was virtually impossible to stand in front of the sink. The fireplace was a nice idea but there was only a small chair next to it, so only one person could sit by it so we didn't use it. A small loveseat would be a much better idea. There was no where else to sit in the room and the only way to talk, watch TV or play cards or a board game was to lie on the bed. The TV was tiny and "vintage". Everything in the room was tiny. We joked it was a room for hobbits. The private, separate entrance/patio area was nice - a little dark and damp feeling. The B&B common areas inside are nice and the gardens are really lovely. We saw a couple of the other rooms which were much, much, nicer than ours. All in all, I think this particular room is overpriced and not a good value. Breakfast was ok - not exceptional. Kitchen adequately stocked - coffee, tea, cookies, ice cream, etc., wineglasses. The manager is very nice. Loved Tybee Island.

We were there Feb 13-15. The weather was chilly and gloomy, our experience was warm and cheery. Our room was just what we wanted. Kathy made us feel like we were long time friends, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we need and more. We wanted to stay a few days more unfortuneately they were no room availbe for an extended stay .We are looking forward to our next visit. Thanks again Sandy and Ron

This was a fabulous bed and breakfast. Spacious room, comfortable bed, everything was spotless. The breakfasts, made by Kathy were delicious - I can still taste that blueberry french toast!!!! This was a gift from our children for two nights, we will definitely be going back and for more than two nights!!! Kathy's warm and bubbly personality added to the appeal of this inn. The weather was beautiful, and we biked around the island. Bike rentals were delivered right to the front door!! Thank you again for making our trip wonderful. Judy and Gene Caputo

We could have not gotten better rooms or service here. Everything was beautiful & we would sure come again. This bed & breakfast sure gets the thumbs up as well as A+++ from my daughter & I! The 5 minute walk to the beach was awesome, we got to see everything going on around Tybee Island plus it was all so close. I think our favorite experience was simply sitting on the porch & gazebo under those majestic live oaks! Beautiful place to simply relax! Thanks Kathy & Jackie for your making us feel at home. Only negative thing I can say is I wish we had a longer time to stay!

This B&B is idyllic! Just a block from the beach in a most lovely setting. Kathy gives a warm welcome, sharing information of nearby restaurants and nice to know insider details. The rooms are well appointed. Despite being a 'house' there was no disturbance of noise from other rooms. As beautiful and inviting as the front yard is, it's almost difficult to leave for the beach or tours of the lighthouse and Ft. Pulaski. The breakfasts were delicious showing thought and care. One of the first things asked was if there were food preferences or allergies which indicates concern and a willingness to accommodate special circumstance.

The Inn is just a perfect getaway. Plenty of places to read a book. The massive oak with the moss hanging down is just gorgeous and really adds to the charm of the inn. The service is was great and breakfasts were very good. Coming in after a days outing to fresh baked goodies, added to the charm.

We felt so at home here. The building is old and historic but well kept, and the garden is lovely. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters, a beautiful room with a very comfy bed, but, it does have physical barriers, especially the steep staircase to get to the bathroom, so I would not recommend it if you are older (we are latter 60's) or if you have any sort of physical limitations at all. One of the other rooms would be a much better choice. Kathy, the inkeeper, is just wonderful! She and Jackie work hard to make everybody feel at home and comfortable. The food is good, the daily treats are truly treats, and the coffee is always on. When staying on Tybee , I do think that you would regret not having a car, even if only to get to and from the airport. Don't miss taking at least one long walk on the beach.

Relatives had invited us to eat breakfast with them, so we did not get to sample the breakfast items. However, we did get to enjoy beverages and the special homemade snacks provided. Kathy, the innkeeper, was very welcoming, telling my husband about some of the nearby landmarks and providing me with information about some of the local stores. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and look forward to a return visit in the future.

My wife & I stayed in the Captain's Quarters room at the Tybee Island Inn from November 7th - 10th, 2011. We had an incredibly positive experience at the inn and on the island in general. Kathy, the inn keeper, greeted us our first day and told us everything we needed to know about the house & Tybee. She was extremely friendly and more than happy to provide us with suggestions for sightseeing and directions. She offered to keep our breakfast warm incase we didn't make the 9 am meal time, but the breakfasts were so good we never missed one anyway. Our room and the common areas were extremely clean. The owners & other guests were all very friendly, too. The island is a great time. We visited during the slow season (it's too cold for the locals to go in the water in Oct/Nov, but it's almost as warm as the ocean water in New England in the hottest months of the summer). We felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Nearly everything on Tybee is walking distance. If you have one too many Porch Punches at the Tybee Island Social Club, you can get a $3 cab/golf cart ride anywhere on the island. I can't say enough good things about the Tybee Island Inn and the island. We will almost definitely be returning in the near future! PS - Servicemembers should ask Lloyd for a military discount, he really took care of us.

The B&B was really lovely and well maintained. The innkeepers were smart to include little things that make a big difference, such as, a kitchen area available to guests, internet access with wifi, and magazines. I was able to get a room at the last minute. It was surprise 15th anniversary treat for my wife. We were able to have friends keep the kids for two nights. I requested if a picnic lunch could be set up for additional fee. Kathy kept it very discreet because she knew it was a surprise. She prepared a cooler full of food - an excellent vegetarian sandwich, fruits, cracker, dip, and champaign. Instead of going to the beach, we decided to stay at the garden in front of the B&B on such a hot day. It was very peaceful and probably THE best B&B we stayed at...

The level of service and empathy. On all levels was the best service we have ever had. We have been comimg for years. My only complaint would be that we haven't come as much as we would like to because of the age limit on children. We have a 3 year old and can't come as much, and have to stay at other hotels because of this we would be Much happier and feel more at home if we could stay there with our 3 yr. Old.

The Tybee Inn Bed and Breakfast is not clsoe to the main shopping area -- which is a good thing. It's in a quiet neighborhood and a very short walk to the beach. Kathy was a great host and offered to make us sandwiches to take with us on a very very early morning flight. When our flight was delayed she made us a nice breakfast before we left the inn. Nice service. The rooms while clean and comfortable didn't have a specific designed look -- not victorian for instance. I just wasn't wowed by the room. But dont let that deter you. If you're looking for a nice place to stay away from the more commercial restaurant/shop area on Tybisa stay here and dine at North Beach Bar & Grill.

We actually searched for a bed and breadfast to stay in on a whim. We were pleasantly pleased at the Innkeeper's wonderful personality, and the accommodations! As soon as we found the place, walking up to the beautiful inn was a pleasant oasis in the front yard. It was so peaceful and inviting! We felt really welcomed, and every possible need was met! Even ones we didnt know we had! And the best part is this place is so close you can literally walk to the beach in less that 5 minutes! And the beach was SO wonderful and very secluded! Its SO worth a repeat! Actually, we have loved the inn and the place so much that we will be moving there just as soon as we can. However until then, we will be going back to visit Kathy, the Innkeeper, and this Inn!

Wow, I had no idea how quaint Tybee Island is until now. I spent the weekend on a one tank getaway with my friend. We both needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Powder Springs. This was the perfect place. Innkeeper Kathy was just the absolute best! Her personal attention to all of our needs was phenonminal! She's a gem. The mermaid statues kinda freaked me out a little but I made it work. I love the trees, the moss, and of course the beach! I stayed at the Tybee Inn B&B over the 4th of July weekend 2011. The Inn provides everything you need to explore the beach down to the suntan lotion. The rooms are excellent and Kathy makes you feel right at home, plus makes a great breakfast. Nice garden area around the Inn for relaxing in the shade, common area for fixing tea, or keeping items in the refrigerator, and WiFi throughout the house. Many of the attributes to make your stay comfortable.

Ice cream in the freezer at all times, coffee and fresh cookies available at all times, and in the hot afternoons, wines for pleasure. We drank coffee on the huge porch, and then sliped away for sun rise on the beach. We had a great stay at Tybee Island Inn. It started with a greeting from Kathy at the door as we arrived. I did notice that this was not just for us. Each day started with a mouth watering description of the breakfast and each time it lived up to its hype. The rooms were extremely clean. The front porch and garden were a wonderful surprise for sitting to read or visit with others staying at the Inn. The picture doesn't capture the comfort it provides. George, their gardener, always provided us a list of favorite dining spots. We will definitely return to this oasis. Chris & Ellen

The outside area is very quaint, and the innkeeper Kathy made us feel right at home. My only complaint is that we only had one night to stay there! I definitely recommend this inn. There were three people in our party. We arrived on Thursday and were delighted to see the approach to the house. Beautiful fountains and sitting areas. Wide front porch with rockers and a porch swing. Inside the inn we were greeted by Kathy, who was wonderful. She was very nice and answered any questions we had about Tybee Island and Savannah. Our room was the Lighthouse room, which had a balcony. The furnishings were delightful. Breakfast was very good and there was a butler's pantry were guests were encouraged to make coffee and tea throughout the day and evening. At 5:30 each evening there was wine and appetizers. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we cannot wait to make a return to the Tybee Island Inn.

We stayed at the Tybee Island Inn for two nights during our Honeymoon trip to Savannah. When we head that way again we will definately make this spot part of the itinerary. It is a perfect little, dreamy property. The owner, Lloyd, and innkeeper, Kathy, were the most gracious of hosts. Every need or want was attended to without hesitation. Their recommendations of places to go were exactly dead on. Their passion for where they live is infectous. Being in the hospitality industry myself and also hailing from a beach resort community, my standards are pretty high. They exceeded every one. Thanks for an outstanding time! It was a delightfully charming place to stay at, the saff were wonderfully kind and friendly. The room was excellent and the home had a wonderful homey and intimate feel. My only dissapointment was the breakfasts. I wish that we had been offered a selection. I did not always care for what was served and would have liked to have been given the choice of the specialty of the day or a simple Bacon, eggs and toast meal. For that reason I would rate it a little overpriced.....Other than that it, was excellent!!

This is a beautiful inn in a gorgeous setting, tucked away on the quiet side of the island and jut steps from the beach. We stayed in the 'lighthouse room' . It was beautifully decorated, private, spacious, and had everything one could wish for except in the toiletry department, which was more 'holiday inn' than 'romantic inn'. The service was excellent, friendly, and hospitable. We especially appreciated the little 'self-serve' area where coffee, tea etc. were always available. They also provided a fridge, wine glasses, cutlery for guests' use. We would certainly return.

Loved the hospitality and the history of the b & b. Disappointed in our room. We stayed in the Flamingo which was very narrow with no where to put out our toiletries. The Innkeeper's were extremely nice and helpful with making us as comfortable and welcome.

We decided on a quick getaway to Savannah and found Tybee Island Inn on line. The photo looked divine. What a treasure this is. We stayed in the Lighthouse room and it was fanbulous! It was like staying in a tree house as the 200 year old oak just (practically climbable from our patio). We have already booked a return trip!

The high attention to detail and the cleanliness of the Inn was really welcome after many weeks of travel. The Tybee Island Inn was a stop on the way to Savannah, Ga for a long weekend. Really appreciated the helpful service and excellence of the staff.

The innkeepers were wonderful - always available to meet your every need. The decor was eccletic and charming - very homey. The attention to detail (wine in the afternoon, ice cream in the freezer, good reading material, etc.) made our stay a very memorable one. Can't imagine staying anywhere else when in the area! Hope to come back again soon.

The Inn was very homey and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and the wine and snacks in the evening was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised at how close the Inn was to the beach! ..Very nice remote beach too.

Excellent happy hour and large breakfast, but the breakfast was all very sweet and high calorie. For this high price, we expected more. There were limited amenities, such as no hand lotion, kleenex and no robes. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Inn exceeded our expectations. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Service was outstanding. We will definatly stay there again!

I took my 82 year old mother who has short term memory loss to this B & B for a short vacation. Everything was wonderful! Peaceful and relaxing. The innkeeper, Kevin, went above and beyond in helping with my mom and making sure everything was perfect for us. Everyone we had contact with at the inn gave us wonderful suggestions of where to go and where to eat, etc. that fit into our limited capabilities. Anyone who stays at Tybee Island Inn B & B will be absolutely thrilled with their visit. Thanks again, Kevin, Kathy, Jackie and Theresa.

This was our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast, and we were NOT disappointed! Lloyd and Cathy were wonderful hosts and Kevin was a wealth of knowledge. The Lighthouse room was just beautiful, with its fireplace and porch .It was wonderful getting up and having a cup of coffee on our own little porch in the morning. The food was absolutely wonderful! We ate "gourmet" breakfasts and were ready to start our day of sightseeing fully fueled! Thank you Lloyd and Cathy for making our "first" experience , a GREAT one!

This trip made my third stay at the Tybee B&B, and as usual, did not disappoint.I've stayed there on my own and loved the nostalgic days on the beach and R&R at the Inn. I've taken girlfriends for a much-needed break and tasted so many flavors of life!! The island has everything you could need a skip away.Beach and lighthouse are a very short walk away.Amazing locales to shop in, have a cocktail in, or dance the night way in.The locals are so friendly! Savannah is just a short drive away, if you want to get your River St. on.It's like the best of BOTH worlds when you stay at Tybee B&B, you get it ALL. The owners were very gracious and waking up to a lovely breakfast at 9am was a wonderful way to start each new adventure and day! ANY questions at all, just ask Kevin. He saved us SO much time with directions to anywhere on the islands, our tastes on where we wanted to go, and knew every street in Savannah as well!! Our time was much better spent with his knowledge/guidance of all there was to see and do! Staying at the Inn makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time to such a romantic & historical time and place with all of today's conveniences as well.Whether it's reflecting on the beach, having fun with the girls, or just a romantic weekend away, the Tybee B&B/Inn has it all. I will be back and I expect you will see more of my friends there now too!! Lol

The Inn was beautifully kept and well maintained. Our room the "Captains Quarter" exceeded my expectations and very comfortable. The private patio and entrence was a nice touch as well as the sun room. The staff provided a very nice warm welcome. I would most certainly stay here again on my next visit to Tybee Island.

My wife and I stayed here for our first anniversery. It was awesome. We couldn't have had a better time. The host was extreamly helpful. Met us at the car and carried our baggage to the room for us, very unexpected, but nice. Room was great , food was great. No complaints. We will be going back soon. Well worth the money. John & Pam

The Tybee Island Inn is a great out-of-the-way place for a respite. The location is perfect for taking a quick drive over to explore Savannah, or just hanging out on site and being lazy. The grounds are immacculate, and reflect the true Southern charm of the area. The staff at the inn are incredibly hospitable. Check out AJ's for dinner; you won't be disappointed. By the same token, don't fall into Uncle Bubba's tourist trap. Service is substandard and food is better at Captain D's! A number of locals shared this information with us, but we refused to heed their warning and were greatly sorry that we did. The Tybee Island Inn is an awesome little getaway, just steps away from the beach.

This was a one night stay for us, and we arrived late do to traffic so we didn't get to enjoy the Inn and island as much as we would of liked. Everything was neat, clean, and welcoming. Service was great and we would love to go back.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at the Tybee Island Inn Bed and Breakfast. When we arrived, the innkeepers were very welcoming, and upgraded our room since the one we originally had booked was under renovation. The room was very clean, elegantly decorated and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. We were very pleased, and would stay here again when we return someday to Tybee Island!

Wife and I were looking for a place to getaway for a night and found that the Lighthouse Room was available. We are really glad we chose it. The bathtub is huge and easily held both of us. The porch would be awesome in warmer weather to sit on and relax. The hosts were extremely personable and made us feel very comfortable. We also enjoyed dinner at the Tybee Island Social Club. The breakfast was incredible. Would highly recommed this place for anyone looking to have a memorable trip to Tybee.

I cannot say enough about the Inn keepers at Tybee Island Inn. They were warm, helpful and everything was perfect. Marcie out did herself with breakfast....best looking and tasting meal I have ever had. The town was fun, the short walk to the beach was nice, and the sunrise was stunning. I will be back.

This was our second visit to the Tybee Island Inn and as with our first we thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is charming and all the rooms are different and decorated to a high standard. Breakfast is always imaginative and it's a pleasure to enjoy it with the other guests and the innkeepers Marcy and Jonathan. The location of the Inn is good for the beach - it's on the quieter end away from the pier, so there's plenty of space. Marcy and Jonathan are a mine of information and always have suggestions for places to visit and dine at. Thanks for another great stay!

It is so very difficult to find pet-friendly accommodations. Tybee Island is both pet-friendly and people-friendly. The Captains Quarters with private fenced area was beyond perfect. Marcy and Jonathan couldn't have been kinder and I eagerly look forward to my return visit next year.

When my wife and I arrived, we were welcomed very nice. When we saw our room, we were very pleased. Johnathon and Marcy were so happy to see us and welcomed us. We were given a tour of the Inn, and all that was offered to us. The Island was so nice and the people there was so nice. When we had breakfast the next morning, we were blown away. Pancakes with chocolate and white chocolate morsels, whipped cream on top, drizzled with syrup. Then on the side was a slice of ham. Coffee that tasted like it was grown right there, and Orange Juice. What made the breakfast even more relaxing was the other guests that was there. We all got along, and was like we knew each other for a long time. The Beach that was close by was so beautiful. My wife and I went out there early in the morning before breakfast, and watched the sun come up. As for our day, my wife and I met the owners Lloyd and Kathy. they were as nice in person as in their video, which sold us on coming there. Lloyd seemed very interested where my wife and I cajme from, and kathy was so nice and pleasant to talk to. The next morning we had a awsome Quiche with homemade blueberry coffee cake. And what I liked was Johnathon helped one of the guests find a good book store in Savannah. Our stay was only two days, but we plan to go back. If anyone wants to enjoy a quiet vacation, go to Tybee Island. Not only was the Inn very relaxing, I found out that the Inn was actually a hospital. The house is over 100 years old, and when you walk inside, you can feel the warmness and the history of it. If you do plan on vacationing at Tybee Island, take in the Dolphin tour right there is Tybee. I recomend the sunset dolphin tour. Our time in Tybee was so relaxing, and so beautiful

Positive Feedback: Although we arrived earlier than anticipated, we found the doors open and welcoming guests. While we waited on our hosts to return from their lunch, my husband and I decided to take advantage of the cozy little porch right off of our room (Lighthouse Room). The view is amazing. The feeling of peace and serenity surround you at once. The island is a small but very luxurious space that is easy to walk. The beach is a short 4 minute stroll. Negative Feedback: Nothing negative to say about this place. I enjoyed every part of my stay here. Overall Impression: Tybee Island is a secret getaway few get to enjoy. I encourage each of you to go see the island and experience the beach life here. It's fantastic. Also, if you have a mind to go deep sea fishing, try Amick's Deep Sea Fishing, ask for Brad. He will take you to catch some of those 26 lb. Red Fish!!!

My husband and I would like to thank you again of a wonderful stay we had at Tybee Island Inn. It was our 1st and we will be coming back soon. We might not wait til our Anniversary to enjoy the wonderful atmopshere you both have created. It was the most relaxing and stress free stay we have ever had. I haven't seen my husband so relaxed and not having to think about work. Please don't make any changes in the way you both and your staff do. We are planning to come back again in the beginning of the year for a few days. See ya then.

Just returned from our extended weekend at Tybee Island Inn. The Inn is located in a cozy setting at the northend of the island with 200 year old live oaks growing all around it. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the Innkeepers were very friendly. The breakfast each morning was delicious and conversation with the other guests was fun also. I highly recommend it to visitors looking for a place to unwind and relax.

I contacted Tybee Island Inn almost last-minute for a two-day, one-night stay in Savannah for my fiance and myself. I chose Tybee Island because the price fit my budget, but both my fiance and myself were delightfully surprised at the coziness, comfort, extras and wonderful treatment by the staff, and access to the beach and lighthouse. The drive into Savannah was easy and enjoyable. What an unforgettable weekend! You have our gratitude and patronage. Dave K ~ Flagler Beach, FL

This is my second stay at a B and B and does not fail in living up to my standards of what I like to expect in my stay. It's as if staying at home with it's comfort and privacy, large rooms, quaint bathrooms and a wonderful breakfast with more than enough to fill you for a full days exploration of the island. I would highly recommend this to all who stay on Tybee Island, from my research into all the places to stay, this was the one that stood out and more than lived up to our expectations!

This is a wonderful unique find for us. We have very limited time for vacations and when we arrived at the Inn we were greeted by the ever friendly Lloyd. Lloyd and Kathy have the perfect location for everything. We enjoyed Savannah one night and then to top that, a very relaxing walk along the beach across the road from the Inn. The sweet snacks at night were a great treat as was the friendly staff. They also went to extra trouble to accomodate my wife who had some medical issues, and we are very appreciative. Thanks again guys! Can't wait to come back!!

My boyfriend and I visited Tybee Island and had the pleasure of staying at Tybee Island Inn Bed and Breakfast. Innkeeper, Lloyd Kilday, was very friendly and knowledgable of local attractions and recommended several wonderful restaurants to dine at. The Inn itself was truly beautiful. The front entrance leads into a gorgeous garden with a fountain and plenty of seating to share quite moments. We stayed in the Dolphin Room and absolutely loved it! We also enjoyed talking with the other guests over morning breakfast, which by the way, was outstanding. This was our 1st experience staying at a B&B and can't wait to do it again. The quite, romantic atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.

We have visited Tybee Island in twice in the last 2 years. Both timse have been excellent. The innkeepers and house manager were so friendly and welcoming. It was like we'd known them forever. The house was meticulously kept and I loved to private decks. The breakfast was THE BEST I'd ever had at a B&B. It was like dining at a gourmet restaurant. And afternoon snack gives you a little something extra to look forward to. It was great to have access to a refrigerator as well as providing tea and beverages during the after hours. With the beach just a few steps away, providing towels and beach chairs is just a small example of the great hospitality. We look forward to visiting you over and over for many years to come!

My wife and I have been guests at Tybee Island Inn many times over the years and most recently this spring. We come back here because we love the smalltown atmosphere of the island and we love the inn. The inn is decorated beautifully in antiques that could easily be in any magazine. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is friendly. We always enjoy our stay there. Thank you for providing us such a fun place to stay.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Tybee Island Inn very much. We even stayed an extra day. Our reservations were handled professionally and our room was very nice, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff were like friends we had known for years. The Breakfasts were served promptly, were delicious, and different each morning. We even made new friends with several of the other guests. The house and grounds were nicely kept which must be dificult with a property as old and historic as this. The house is only a short walk to the beach and the Lighthouse. I rented a bicycle and explored the island, beach, and other nearby historic sites. My wife and I would like to return someday.

The Tybee Island Inn was a poorly managed hotel/B&B. The innkeepers were unorganized (they lost our reservation) and unprofessional.
