My husband and I celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary with Kathleen at The Olde Savannah Inn April 19-21, 2013. Upon entering our room my eyes filled with tears. The room was breathtaking and so much more than the pictures can show. The attention to detail in the decorating of the room was outstanding. My husband has trouble sleeping at home and joked with Kathleen that she must have "sleepy dust" in the room because he had the best nights sleep in a long time. The luxurious bed was so comfortable and beautiful crisp sheets. Yes Kathleen irons her bed linens daily to make the beds beautiful! Imagine getting the best nights sleep ever and then slowly awake to the aroma of a delicious breakfast. As you enter the stunning breakfast table you are greeted with period Olde Savannah music and the smiling face of Kathleen with a fresh coffee press in hand. The first morning we were served white chocolate chip banana pancakes with Kathleen's homemade whip cream which is thought was a rich french vanilla ice cream. The finale breakfast of our trip was the creme brulee french toast I requested from other reviews. It was delicious and again served with Kathleen's home made whip cream. After a long day of touring beautiful Savannah, Kathleen has treats ready for you to rejuvenate before dinner. Imagine sipping wine in a rocking chair on the back porch overlooking the garden. Kathleen arranges your dinner reservations, pedi cab rides to dinner and horse drawn carriage rides after dinner delivering you right back to her fabulous retreat. You absolutely cannot go wrong with The Olde Savannah Inn! My husband and I recently took a romantic weekend getaway to Savannah and we wanted an experience that was unique to the area. This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast, but it certainly won't be our last! (Nor will it be our last trip to the Olde Savannah Inn!) Kathleen takes great pride in making sure every detail is attended and that her guests are treated like family! She greeted us with a warm smile and a big hug and went right to making us feel welcomed! The home is absolutely gorgeous, filled with antiques, paintings, and rugs that scream southern charm! The rooms were breathtaking and the beds were luxuirously comfortable! There were fresh baked goodies in our room each day, and the breakfast was absolutely scrumptious! (Just imagine the taste of creme brûlée stuffed french toast topped with homemade cream!) Kathleen does it all; the cooking, cleaning, decorating, she even irons all the linens! We truly appreciate all of her effort and dedication to her guests. We had a great time and left Savannah wanting more! We certainly hope to return to visit Kathleen soon!

Our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn was exceptional. The rooms were all stunning and filled with lavish details. We have never slept in beds that were so comfortable. Kathleen is a warm and friendly woman. We thoroughly enjoyed her amazing breakfasts along with daily conversation with her. I am so glad we chose this Inn. Our experience could not have been better.

My wife and I visited Savannah with her mother and step-father. We had an amazing time. Our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn was beyond what any of us were expecting. Kathleen, the innkeeper, works very hard to ensure that each guest has a memorable experience. She is extremely welcoming, and makes sure that our every need is met. Kathleen maintains this Inn superbly, and it is hard to believe that it is just her who keeps this place as immaculate as it is. If you visit Savannah, this is THE place to stay. You definitely will not want to miss breakfast, it is truly out of this world.

My wife and I just concluded a most enjoyable stay at the Olde Savannah Inn. To say that we were treated like royalty would be an understatement. Kathleen keeps the Inn impeccably clean, and her breakfasts are out of this world. Each morning, for example, we found juice, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, and hot coffee presses waiting for us at the breakfast table. Meals included creme brulee French toast, tomato and goat cheese omlettes, banana nut pancakes, eggs benedict on croissants, cheesy grits and scrambled eggs, and other mouth watering delicacies. The Inn is housed in a beautifully maintained 19th century brownstone. Our room, the charming Bon Vivant, had access to a private patio - complete with water fountain - through a pair of French doors. Kathleen thinks of everything. A bottle of wine and a jar of chocolates await visitors just inside the front door. A basket of fresh fruit and jars of cookies will be found in the beautifully decorated parlor. Hot water is always available if one desires a cup of tea. Prior to leaving for the day, Kathleen hands her guests chilled bottles of water to take with them. She is always at the ready to suggest dining options, make reservations, call a taxi, or help with sightseeing. You will be hard pressed to find an innkeeper who is more dedicated and looks after her guests so well. If you are interested in a Bed & Breakfast in the historic district of Savannah, we highly recommend The Olde Savannah Inn.

When my wife and I walked in the front door of this beautiful home and were greeted by Kathleen, the owner and inn keeper. Kathleen made us feel right at home with a big smile, a warm hug and an offer of a drink. We stayed in the Provence suite on the lower, (ground), level. This room is beautiful, just like the rest of the house. There is a separate entrance, which is shared by the three rooms on this level and was a nice convenience in that we didn't have to walk up or down any stairs on entry or exit. This door is at the front of the house, right below the main entrance. Every suite has its own bathroom and our room had the coolest shower, which is separate from the bathroom and is revealed when you open what looks like, (and used to be), a closet door, to find a glass door which leads into the two-person, walk-in shower... amazing! Great water pressure, imported soaps and lots of room. This room is very bright and airy, with two windows, a super comfy queen bed, with luxurious linens, a flat-panel TV, ceiling fan, armoire, desk and chair, a collection of books for the avid reader and all the comforts of home. As you have probably read, the breakfasts are fantastic, Kathleen is a very talented cook! The table setting is beautiful with fresh fruit each morning, followed by an amazing main course. On our first morning, to my wife's delight, we had creme brulee french toast, which she is still talking about it and was absolutely delicious! On day two Kathleen made eggs benedict with pesto, which I am still dreaming about! You will be hard pressed to find breakfast this good anywhere!!!! The Olde Savannah Inn is within walking distance of everything in the Historic District, so we found the trolley tour bus unnecessary. My husband and I just celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary on 7/15/12 by spending a relaxing, romantic weekend in Savannah, GA. We chose to stay at The Olde Savannah Inn which came highly recommended. What a delight! The Inn’s friendly keeper Kathleen welcomed us graciously like family to her home. We enjoyed our stay in the luxurious Versailles Court which had an extremely comfortable king-sized bed with soft linens and canopy top. With its ornate antique furniture, we felt as though we had stepped back in time. The surprisingly large ensuite bathroom has not only 2 beautiful claw foot bath tubs (one with shower attachment), but also a large-enough-for-two Jacuzzi which we enjoyed. Each 9 am breakfast was a feast for the eyes as well as the appetite: plenty of delicious food with beautiful presentation. The attention to detail of the entire Inn demonstrates Kathleen’s impeccable taste and her desire to immerse her guests in elegance. She is so warm and talented. We were quite pleased with her assistance making reservations and recommendations for other dining/touring experiences in the area. "We had the most wonderful visit to Savannah because of Kathleen and The Olde Savannah Inn! The inn is in a wonderful location - adjacent to the beautiful Forsythe Park. We have been to many beautiful B & B's but The Olde Savannah Inn ranks at the top as does the innkeeper, Kathleen! She is a one-of-a-kind innkeeper...she is the "hostess with the mostest!" She decorated her home with exquisite furnishings and and the Versailles Court room is "to die for!" This room has the most eloquent bathroom I have ever seen! A jacuzzi tub, claw footed soaking tub and a claw footed shower. I felt like a Roman Goddess in that bathroom! Kathleen's gourmet breakfasts are as wonderful as her beautiful breakfast room that you are served in! I want to thank Kathleen for our wonderful, relaxing visit to Savannah and let her know how much we enjoyed meeting the passionate, caring woman that makes The Olde Savannah Inn so special! I gave my fiancee a night in town and dinner at Elizabeth on 37th for her birthday. Living locally I am very particular about places to stay in Savannah. After reviewing, via the internet, the various Inns available in Savannah, I chose The Olde Savannah Inn for its charm and cozyness. The Versailles Court room was ideal for this special event. We chose the Olde Savannah Inn for our stay in April from the beautiful pictures on their website and after speaking with the owner, Kathleen, who was so charming and inviting on the phone! Well we weren't disappointed when we entered her beautiful, warm and inviting home. It was truly everything her website said and more! The magnificent chandeliers, lovely antiques and pristine design of the Olde Savannah is what a 5 star B&B should be...and is! In addition Kathleen made our stay so warm and inviting. She is truly a lovely lady who's mission is to make each and every quest feel so special, catering to each individual's every need, making your stay at her home the best experience it could be. From making dinner reservations at the finest restaurant to chauffeuring us to our destination are just a few examples of her dedication to "spoiling" her guests. Then exemplifying her culinary skills with a sinfully scrumptious homemade chocolate cake and a truly gourmet breakfast served with fine linens, china and crystal stemware truly made our stay a 5 star experience! Just returned from a girls weekend at the Old Savannah Inn, the best experience ever! I have never stayed in bed and breakfast before, My friend and I were so welcomed into this beautiful home and enjoyed the company of Kathleen and Dakota and loved getting to know the other guests. Our room, Provence Room my favorite, was charming and elegant and loved the linens and shower. Learned much about the city and can't wait to go back! Did I mention how insane Kathleen's breakfast are? Crazy good! Creme Brûlée French Toast- let's just say I am still dreaming about it. First class experience! Thanks Kathleen and Dakota.

Kathleen, the inn keeper, made our stay in Savannah the best. She pours her heart and soul into making her guests feel welcomed and spoiled. The Inn is so elegant and comfortable. Very clean and private. Love the decor and gardens as well as Dakota, the Inn's black lab. Kathleen serves an elegant breakfast each morning. Bannana -pecan pancakes wth homemade wipped cream,home made keesch, Belgium waffels,sausage and bacon, and frsh fruit. The best part of our stay in Savannah was visiting with Kathleen, her other guests, Dakota, and relaxing at the Inn. Our room was beautiful wth very comfortable king bed, luxury bath and linens,Bose wave radio,Sony tv, robes,slippers,etc. We cannot wait to visit next year. The Inn is located in the historic area. Great for walking. Enjoyed walking her street and talking to the neighbors and viewing all of the old homes and gardens. Just cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Old Savannah Inn. You will feel so at home and spoiled by Kathleen while at the Inn. Don't look any further for a place to stay.

Found the Olde Savannah Inn on the B&B website and was drawn to it immediately. The photos on the site were charming and decadent, and the real thing was even better. Ms. Kathleen was tremendous. Her breakfasts were awesome, and the location near Forsyth Park is perfect . . . close enough to walk to River Street, but far enough away to be out of most of the Historic District congestion. It will definately be on my list of places to stay again.!!

Sept 2011 Went to the Inn with a BFF for a little getaway. It was a marvelous and beautiful Inn. The decor, service and morning breakfasts were divine. We had a beautiful private garden and entrance. Top notch bedding. Kathleen and her dog Dakota were very warm and accomodating. I would love to stay there again when I go back to Savannah. Barbara T. from Sunmmervile, S.C

We started off our honeymoon at the Olde Savannah Inn in hopes of enjoying a warm and relaxing environment, after an exciting day of celebrating. Boy, were we in for a treat! The decor has a Parisian influence, which was a welcome change to the usual Tudor style B&Bs we were accustomed to. Think "Palace of Versailles", and you wouldn't be too far off in terms of the aesthetics. It was simply breathtaking! We stayed in the Provence Room, which has a private access through a lovely garden. The room itself has a very comfortable king sized bed, a very large shower, a beautiful antique desk and armoire, and a nice flat screen TV. There is also an extensive library including Civil War books, which fit perfectly with the history of Old Savannah. The linens and towels were all very nice quality, and we enjoyed the robes and slippers in our room as well. One major bonus about this B&B is the breakfast, which was simply superb!! On our first day, Kathleen prepared homemade blueberry pancakes topped with dense, homemade whipped cream that was just indescribable. We also enjoyed fresh fruit, homemade sausage and smoked bacon. Everything was just amazing! The second day we enjoyed eggs Benedict, homemade peach cobbler (fantastic!!), sausage and bacon. We are not exaggerating, this was some of the best breakfast we've ever had. Ever. We really don't have any major complaints. The shower was separate from the rest of the bathroom, which was a bit on the small side, unfortunately. Also, the mirror in the bathroom was a little small and difficult to use if you are short. Overall, we highly recommend this B&B. We enjoyed a lovely, comfortable room, compete with evening treats. We met a few very nice people at breakfast and enjoyed conversations with Kathleen as well. She is down to earth and we truly enjoyed getting to know her during our stay. If we ever make a trip back down to Savannah, this will be the first place we will look to stay!

Just returned home from our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn in Savannah, GA. We are missing it already. Our stay was perfect. We picked the Provence room which proved to be exactly what we were looking for. Cozy, soft and airy, with a bonus. We had our own private entrance through Kathleen's beautiful gardens. Breakfast was amazing, we looked forward to it every morning. ( Yeah for creme brulee! ) Kathleen is "The Hostess with the Mostess" for sure. She took care of our reservations, shuttles, tours and etc.... If we wanted or needed anything, she took care of it ASAP. If ever back in Savannah, The Olde Savannah Inn and Kathleen will be our pick.

The rooms,food and service could not be any better for our weekend in Savannah. The service included making reservations at the playhouse and restaurants. The advice on where to dine was excellent. After the great breakfast eating lunch wasn't required. Just an outstanding weekend.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn. We were in need of serious rest and relaxation which were provided by the Inn and of course Kathleen. We loved that our room was cozy, beautiful and made for sleeping! Our breakfasts were tailored to our food preferences and were beyond delicious. The Inn is also very conveniently located for walking to restaurants, historic sites, and for the occasional romantic stroll. We had privacy when we wanted it but were also able to chat with other houseguests when desired. Overall a great experience and one that makes us want to return to Savannah!

Find another place to stay, you will be glad you did! The Inn is cute but in over 45 states I've visited and 39 Countries, I have never had a worse experience with an Innkeeper. She complains constantly about the work she does, the money she losing, prior guest. She talks on and on about how beautiful the Inn is but how difficult it is to run by herself... She asked me to help her with the grease trap on her stove and grease ruined my leather shoes. Kathleen just needs a class in how to treat guest especially while they are on what is supposed to be a romantic vacation.... We would never return to this Inn while she owned it. Trust me, find another place to stay unless you want to hear about all of her troubles the whole time!

Dear Viewers, I am Kathleen /owner/inkkeeper of The Olde Savananh Inn and I am responding to this review to disclose the real facts to this guest's stay. First of all, this guest has been posting these negative reviews on all the travel sites in an attempt to destroy the reputation of The Olde Savannah Inn. Notice how many excellent reviews I have on this site. All of them are 5's. How is it possible for this guests to have such a bad experince. I will tell you why. This guest booked in January of 2010 in the Versailles Court on a 2 for 1 sale. Buy 2 nights and get the 3rd night Free. Because Jan is one of our worst months of the year, I needed cashflow so I offered him a 1 year credit to be used in the off season months. Most people would get that. This guests haggled with me by calling me several times before breking me down to concede to his terms. He also owns a credit card business and threathened me with how he knows how the credit card system works as far as cancellation policies. Alot of the inns don't offer a 1 year credt in which is very fair if your intentions are to visit Savananh. If you go to Tripadvisor.com, you will see the same review with a little variation but this is the same guest. I left a management response there for you to read. Please do not be fooled by this malicious review. Guests love The Olde Savananh Inn and we have always honored our mission to make you happy and create memeories of a lifetime. I offered this guest complimentary bottle of wine and desserts in his room upon arrival. I am sorry he has such a hostile opinion of this wonderful inn. There are some people who you will never please.

My daughter and I spent 5 days in Savannah. We stayed at the Olde Savannah Inn which was a delight. We were met by Kathleen and her side kick Dakota (her black Lab) and shown to our room. We stayed in the Renaissance Room. It was perfect from the king size bed on which we slept on pressed sheets like babies to the well appointed bathroom. No detail was overlooked. The inn was built in 1877 and Kathleen has restored it to its former glory. From the chandeliers to the grand piano to the breakfast room - every detail was perfect. Each morning we came down to breakfast and sat at a table with white linens and crystal. We would begin with fruit layered in a crystal goblet. Each day was something new - belgium waffles with Kathleens homemade whipped cream, creme brulee crepes (to die for) crab and tomato omelet and blueberry pancakes. Everything was delicious. Kathleen accommodated my daughters egg allergy with yummy things like apple, bacon and cheese crepes. The garden in front of the Inn is beautiful. Kathleen puts a lot of time in planning and planting her garden. It stands out on the street. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend the Inn to friends and family. We made a special friend when we met Kathleen. You will leave Savannah with a new friend and definitely a feeling of being spoiled. When I get home who is going to make a delicious breakfast for me? We were greeted by Kathleen and her dog, Dakota. Kathleen was very warm, welcoming and helpful. She helped us up to our room which was absolutely beautiful. Kathleen has done a wonderful job decorating. We stayed in the Rennissance room and it is just as beautiful as the pictures on the website. Kathleen takes great pride in the care of her inn and taking care of her guest. She helped my sister and husband plan a romantic anniversary for me. I had flowers and chocolate cover strawberries waiting in the room when we arrived and later that night we went on a horse drawn carriage ride through the historic district that picked us up at the restaurant and dropped us back off right in front of the Inn. Kathleen then serviced us a wonderful tea that she makes and I took it up to our room where I relaxed in the tub and gazed in amazement at the beauty of the bathroom while sipping my tea. I then climbed into the most comfortable bed with linens that were of the highest quality and were hand pressed by Kathleen herself. I sleeped beautifully!!! I hated to see morning come as we only stayed for one night but I quickly forgot my sadness when I began to smell the aroma coming from the kitchen. Kathleen served us a beautiful and delicious breakfast along with meeting some wonderful and interesting people. I truly enjoyed meeting the other guest and hearing their stories. If we are ever back in Savannah I will most definetly will want to stay back at the Olde Savannah Inn. Thank you Kathleen for making our stay and my anniversary one I will not forget.

As a honeymooning couple, we had 2 main desires for our accommodations: privacy, and luxury. We saw both of these needs met in ABUNDANCE as Kathleen, the wonderful hostess and owner, went above and beyond to provide for us the trip of our dreams. Our room was glorious and quiet, and we truly felt the freedom to come and go as we pleased! (Which was so easy to do, as the Inn is only a short walk from the River and is in the heart of the gorgeous Historic District!) We stayed all 7 nights in the Versailles Court Room, and it was PERFECT for our honeymoon. The Jacuzzi bathtub for 2 people was even bigger than we expected it to be! And the charming claw-foot "his and her" bathtubs made us feel like King and Queen! The massive king-sized bed was covered with the most buttery-soft linens I have ever slept on, and the sheer canopy overhead continued to make us feel like royals. The only reason (especially as honeymooners!) we would have pulled ourselves out of that spacious, luxurious room...was for FOOD. :) Kathleen's breakfasts a GREAT reason to get out of bed! Kathleen does it all: savory foods [like 3-cheese scrambled eggs, spinach, ham-smoked grits!], sweet treats [blueberry pancakes, creme brulee French toast, homemade whipped cream!], and ALWAYS the most delightful French-pressed coffee to put a spring in your step before you go explore the beauty of Savannah! We could write up the full menu we experienced for our 7 mornings with Kathleen... but honestly, we feel that her food is something not to be read about, but something to be experienced! There is no possibility for disappointment with Kathleen's incredible cooking. The Olde Savannah Inn is a MUST-STAY in Savannah! The Inn is wonderful not just because of the glorious amenities, but because of the PERSON behind ALL of it: with an eye for detail and a heart for everyone around her! Our praises can't be higher for The Olde Savannah Inn, and the one-and-only Miss Kathleen Dupuis!

Our stay, at the Olde Savannah Inn, was by far, one of the best for us. The inn is absolutely beautiful! We had the most restful sleep there, great food, and were treated like royalty. Kathleen is such a wonderful person who works hard to please. It was great getting to know her and Dakota and Midnight! Watching the St. Patrick's Day parade on the corner was delightful too. If you are looking for a unique and enjoyable place to stay, you will love this place!

My fiance and I took off for a quick romantic little getaway this past weekend and stayed one night at Kathleen's Olde Savannah Inn after a day of play at the beach at Tybee Island. We were immediately welcomed by Kathleen with warm cookies, a glass of wine and a friendly nudge by the house dog, Dakota. Our room was wonderfully comfortable, and we felt cozily tucked away from the world for the night. A beautiful fruit salad and french toast greeted us on Sunday morning, along with light friendly banter with Kathleen and the other guests. It was wonderful!

This was a surprise trip from my husband for my 26th birthday and although I have only had 26 of them, this was by far the best! My husband and I had never stayed at an B&B before, so we were a little anxious. From the moment we entered the door we felt so welcomed. Not only with a hug by Kathleen, but from the Inn pup Dakota, to the kind guests staying there as well. We instantly felt part of the family. Our room was beautiful! Sometimes pictures can lie, but what you see in the pictures is exactly what it looks like in person. We had a wonderful nights sleep and then a magnificent breakfast made by Kathleen in the morning. I felt so loved when Kathleen and the other guest sang Happy Birthday to me. All to the doing of Kathleen and her beautiful Inn, I do not know how my husband will outdo this birthday. This was our second trip to The Olde Savannah Inn. We visited last year to celebrate the same occasion (a birthday), and decided it was such a great experience we'd stay again this year. It was better than we remembered. Kathleen (the owner/innkeeper) makes you feel at home and is very personable; however, she balances her excellent interpersonal skills with professionalism and top-notch/5-star service. She's a great hostess, that is able to relate to everyone and all personality types. And if that's not enough, she keeps her inn cleaner than I've seen most 5-star hotels (and she does it all herself -- no other staff). Long story short. If you're visiting Savannah and staying for more than one day, this is the place to stay. Thank you Kathleen. We'll see you the same time next year if not sooner.

We had a wonderful stay with Kathleen at her Inn. When we arrived, a small wedding was about to ensue in the front room next to an enormous Christmas tree and gorgeous French Renaissance decor. Kathleen was very welcoming as she invited us to our room. We melted into the comfortable furniture and quickly relaxed. In the morning, our breakfast was delicious...everything on the plate was arranged beautifully and the taste and quantity didn't compare to any other places we've stayed. This is truly a gem in Savannah. Kathleen's personal touch and warmth made us feel at home. We plan to return for a longer stay!

We had a glorious stay at The Olde Savannah Inn this past November. The Inn keeper, Kathleen and lovely Dakota (best Lab around), made us feel right at home. The Inn (and Kathleen) is elegant, warm and welcoming. From the moment we were dropped off by the taxi till we left 4 days later; Kathleen made sure we were well looked after and cared for. The room was delightful and the breakfasts sumptious. Each afternoon we were greeted with bottles of water and sweet baklava with wine in the evening. Kathleen always had great restaurant recommendations and advice on where to go and what to see. We can't wait to go back and visit Savannah and most importantly the Olde Savannah Inn.

I took my wife to the Olde Savannah Inn for a getaway weekend, and I could not have been more pleased. The Inn is beautiful and our room was spectacular. Only having 4 guest rooms also made the stay more intimate. Kathleen is a wonderful hostess who is very attentinve to your needs and makes the most amazing breakfast. This is a true bed and breakfast complete with a full sitdown meal in the morning and wonderful music in the background. The Creme Brulee French Toast is out of this world. If you want a truly romantic experience in a beautiful Inn with first class ammenities and service, try the Olde Savannah Inn.

On the way from Miami to Charleston, several years ago, my husband and I stopped in Savannah for breakfast. We found that little taste of the City so charming that we planned to go back sometime and really explore the City. “Sometime” presented itself this year in the form of a trip we wanted to take for my birthday. We looked at many accommodations and selected The Olde Savannah Inn. What a wonderful choice!! This Inn is located in a beautiful residential area that is within a 10 to 15 minute walking distance of wonderful restaurants and sights. The Inn has 4 rooms, all different and all beautifully appointed with antiques and interesting furnishings that the Innkeeper, Kathleen, has collected and carefully placed. We chose the Versailles room, which I think may be the largest suite in the Inn, complete with a jet spa (with changing colors) that was so comforting after a day of walking from one end of town to the other! All the rooms have gas fireplaces, hardwood floors, luxurious bedding and perhaps best of all, a breakfast with food so delicious and innovative it is hard to find the right words. My husband is on a gluten-free diet that Kathleen was not only able to accommodate, but made it so delicious that I elected to have the same thing! Kathleen will give you the low-down on what to do and what to avoid, such as restaurant and tour suggestions (we did what she suggested and found them all superlative). For my birthday, Kathleen made a tray of chocolate covered strawberries accompanied by a bottle of wine. So thoughtful, so lovely, soooo delicious!! And how can any account of The Olde Savannah Inn be complete without mention of Dakota, Kathleen’s beautiful black Lab. Dakota is a kind and gentle soul who is always there to greet you And you will be his best friend forever if you share some of your breakfast bacon with him!!!!

My husband and I stayed in the Versailles Court room for four nights, to celebrate my birthday. Even before arrival Kathleen (the Inn owner) was so gracious and helpful. She set up all of our dinner reservations for us and even setup a taxi to pick us up from the airport. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm hug. She has a way of instantly making you feel like you’re visiting your favorite Aunt. But my favorite Aunt never served the wonderful breakfast that we received each morning of our stay. I’m posting pictures. Our room (Versailles Court) took my breath away. It’s very romantic. She was able to give us a tour of most of the rooms and I’d have been happy to stay in any of them. They were all gorgeous and spotless. Kathleen is a total perfectionist. Down to the perfectly ironed sheets. I HIGHLY recommend a stay here.

Wow, the Olde Savannah Inn: As an African American couple, we have somewhat struggled with the B&B experience, we are usually welcome but not really welcome, anyway where do I start: We fell in love with he Olde Savannah Inn, It was superbly clean and the breakfast will send you to heaven and the ambiance was magnificent. This saying a lot because we are not easily impressed, but we just floored by the whole experience. Our room was the beautiful first floor garden room, you have your own private entry from the garden where you can sit and have coffee or tea, but did I mention clean. Kathleen is the hostess with the mostess . She baked huge to die for chocolatey chip cookie. She is a kindred in spirit and a beautiful soul. She truly made our stay awesome and one of the greatest B&B experience we've had. Kathleen truly has gifted hands and a love to serve her guest from a heart that loves her profession. Kathleen is a remarkable hostess. The inn reflects all of the charm of the city. It is a historic landmark and has been completely updated yet still reflects old world charm. Very inviting atmosphere, beautifully decorated and totally comfortable! The breakfasts were the best I have had, made from scratch and delicious. Home made cookies throughout the day, as well as wine and teas. I have already made reservations for 3 nights in January.... and cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I spent 3 nights in 3 different rooms this past week. Each room was beautiful with different decor. My favorite was the Provence room downstairs close to the front garden. Breakfast each morning was a yummy treat we loved them all.The quietness of the area was just perfect for the relaxation we were craving. I had a lovely time strolling the streets and taking pictures of all the interestingly unique buildings and gardens. Thank you Kathleen for a wonder stay.

The outside of the inn looks just like on the post-card. The reception was warm and cordial. Kathleen accommodated us swiftly and asked if we needed to find a restaurant. She made for us her unforgettable refreshing ice tea and told us about Savannah, the Inn and about local diners while we were absorbing the majestic surrounding of the guest room. Yes rooms, I can't help but rave about how French chic they were. For those who love French decore this inn is an isle in Savannan ocean of bricks (however charming they were). The facilities were up to date. The breakfast was most enjoyable. Kathleen made blueberry pancakes with icecream on top and a fruit salad. You will have an haute-bourgeois stay and will be taken care of by a perfectionist who values your vacation choice. The Olde Savannah Inn is a landmark of hospitality in a most remarkable town.

From the moment we arrived, Kathleen greeted us as family. She knew our first names, gave us big hugs, and fed us homemade cookies. The room was as plush as could be, with endless pillows, fluffy towels and marble bathrooms and fixtures. Breakfast in the morning could have been our meals for the day, complete with fruit, meat and homemade crepes. Plus, Kathleen was our tour guide and taxi driver at times! We love it here.

We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at the Olde Savannah Inn. Our hostess and innkeeper, Kathleen, was so warm and hospitable. The house was elegant and wonderfully restored, yet comfortable as well. The Provence Room was available for our stay. We loved the cozy , almost cottage, feel it provided within the historic district. The fountain in the garden just outside our room was a wonderful touch and example of the detail and thought Kathleen has put into this gem of an inn. The linens were very comfortable and the room immaculate. Each evening we found a sweet treat waiting for us to enjoy from a piece of Coca Cola cake to a chocolate chip cookie. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed items such as fresh fruit, creme brulee french toast, blueberry pancakes with fresh whipped creme, and omelettes with goat cheese, fresh herbs and tomato, all served with a side of bacon and sausage. Kathleen helped us with reservations and offered advice as this was our first trip to Savannah. We would love to return to Savannah and The Olde Savannah Inn.

It is the most memorable wedding anniversaries that my wife and I have ever experienced. The accommodations were great, and Kathleen put together one of the most enjoyable weekends. Kathleen recommended two wonderful restaurants The Pink House and Elizabeth’s on 37th. After Elizabeth’s we topped off the evening of our last night stay with a late evening carriage tour. Kathleen made the restaurant and carriage tour reservations prior to our arrival enabling us to have our weekend free to enjoy the beauty of Savannah. My wife was swept off her feet with the beauty of the inn, the unforgettable breakfast, and the beautiful décor that Kathleen has place throughout the house. It is still a topic of conversation with our friends and family. I will be challenged to find another Inn that will surpass the experience my wife and I shared at The Olde Savannah Inn.

We booked the Renaissance room at The Olde Savannah Inn for 4 nights. We were greeted with a warm hug from Innkeeper, Kathleen. The Olde Savannah Inn has all of Kathleen’s wonderful touches. The Inn is filled with her special touches which include stunning antiques and art, 10 foot mirrors, marble bathrooms, fireplaces and beautiful chandeliers. Amazing! Kathleen prepared a fantastic 4 course breakfast each morning. This delicious breakfast will definitely hold you until dinner. Accenting the breakfast was delicious French press coffee, fruit cup, cheddar grits and a special brown sugar-infused bacon and sausage. Her special vanilla cream topping for waffles and pancakes was better than ice cream. The blueberry pancakes were my favorite. Did I mention you can skip lunch? Kathleen has equipped her beds with firm mattresses and 800 thread count Egyptian linens with down pillows and blankets. This comfortable bed was a great place to collapse after a long day of walking the streets of Savannah. Our bathroom was spacious and beautiful with a nice array of lotions and toiletries. Kathleen has connections to all the restaurants and tours and set us up with a few including a 4 hour cooking class around the corner that was a blast! The Inn is a block away from Forsythe Park which is a great place to run or walk amongst the beautiful trees and water fountain. Kathleen is one of the kindest people we have ever met. In the afternoons she prepared yummy fresh cookies, pound cake and a special cherry bread complimented with her homemade sweet tea or a glass of wine. We have fond memories of Savannah thanks to the generous hospitality of Kathleen and her beautiful Inn. She has created a wonderful sanctuary for visitors to Savannah. She will treat you like family and you will feel like family. It is the nicest B&B we have ever visited!
