This was our first visit to Savannah, and we picked the Olde Harbour Inn based on the two rave reviews here at the time. It's hard to imagine a better spot for a first-time visitor, with river views, instant access to River St. with all its "touristy" businesses, and right on the edge of the Savannah historic district. Everything is within walking distance for the reasonably fit. (We're 62, and walked all the way to Forsyth Park). Don't be put off by my less than 5 star ratings of cleanliness and dining - I've stayed in enough B&B's in this price range that "Met my expectations" is a good thing. The room (suite, really) was great, the staff warm, friendly, and helpful. The bathroom was a little small, and the plumbing a little cranky, but that goes with the territory for older B&B's. One feature we really like was that there is a journal in the room where previous occupants have written about their stays. Don't miss the wine and cheese and goodies in the afternoon - great conversations with other guests. Southerners really are more friendly than us Yankees. PS: Your GPS will have a tough time finding this place - get your driving directions from the inn.

Got what had to be the last room on the day before going to Savannah. Room was incredible with a view of the river. Planned to visit some of the antique shops and spent almost the entire day in the ones near the river. There were so many. Breakfast provided a variety of good food. The wine and cheese receptions in the evening were great. Good conversation with the other guest, large selection and quantity of finger foods and cheese. The ice cream in the room each night was always a nice touch. One of the best B&B's I've been at. Can't beat the location for events like New Years, with the fireworks right outside your window. Great shopping so close you can go out for dinner and shop without walking more than 5-10 min. Didn't use my car the entire time. Would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to visit Savannah. I've visited the city many times, but this was as good as it gets.

We had a great stay at the olde harbor inn. Our room had great views of the sunrise on the river. We enjoyed the wine and cheese each afternoon and looked forward to the breakfast each morning. The staff was great! We would absolutely stay here again.
