This was our 3rd time staying at Forsyth Park Inn. I always is a pleasure and treat to stay here. staff is always willing to assist in any way. The only negative I have (and it has nothing to do with Forsyth) is that while out on the patio enjoying the sights and sounds. almost every time there was a guest talking on there cell phone, could not enjoy the patio anymore.

My wife and I arrived in Savannah for two nights following a corporate event in Greensboro, GA where we stayed at a Ritz Carlton resort. Our stay at the Forsyth Park Inn in Savannah was in complete contrast to our Ritz stay. Here we were greeted by Dwayne on a personal level who was very courteous and provided us lots of local recommendations for both dining and tours in town. The small homely style of this Inn provided us peace and quiet and the breakfast we enjoyed on the verandah was lovely. Room #8 was basic but clean and in keeping with the property full of character. The unique feature of this room was the outdoor private patio we were able to enjoy overlooking the courtyard. Located across the street from the park afforded me the opportunity to go on my morning run around the park before breakfast, as well as enjoy the farmers market on Saturday morning. When we arrived we parked outside the hotel in the street, and in fact didn't move the car until we left town 2 days later. The Inn is located a few minutes walk from all the sights around town and provided us the chance to enjoy the sights on foot. We took a trolley tour on Friday and Dwayne set us up to be picked up by shuttle and taken to the headquarters in town to pick up the bus. Very enjoyable. Would definitely stay again. Great location and service, not so much modern facilities but then again Savannah is more about the history and character than modern facilities. For us it was perfect!

Everything was very nice, the only thing I did not like was finding several hairs in the tub from the previous user

Three friends and I stayed in the Forsyth Inn for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we shared provided all that we needed and the amenities were excellent. Only recommendation for change I would make is to add a little more lighting in Room 3.

Absolutely beautiful 19th century House. Breathtaking view of Forsyth Park. Bathrooms could us some slight updates, but other than that was an awesome experience. Staff was second to none. Food was as southern as you could get and elegant. I would recommend this BB to anyone I spoke to.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay.

My husband I loved our stay at Forsyth Park Inn! The view of the park was wonderful! We fell in love with it! Dewayne was more than helpful in giving us references for a "compact" stay in Savannah! We definitely would love to come back! The breakfast was delicious! No bad comments here at all...definitely want to visit again :D Thank you to the staff at Forsyth Park Inn!
What a pleasure it is knowing that you enjoyed your stay at the Forsyth Park Inn. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

I traveled to Savannah with my parents for our first trip to the South from California, and I must say staying at the Forsyth Inn was my favorite part of the trip. We stayed in rooms 10 and 11 in the lower level. Situated in a beautiful location across from Forsyth Park, we had our hot breakfast each morning on the patio while admiring the Spanish Moss in the trees and watching the joggers and families across the street. It was a little bit noisy with traffic, but besides that very serene. The location was so beautiful we always made it back for Sangria and a snack at 5. (A perfect opportunity to rest a bit from the day's walking before heading out to dinner). I had originally wondered if the inn would be too far from the main sites of interest, but we really loved walking through the neighborhood itself and could take the free local shuttle when needed (it picks up a short walk away). Dwayne was a gem, helping us with recommendations and making us feel welcomed and very well taken care of. One of the women in charge of the food even gave great recommendations for vegetarian-friendly restaurants in town. We had an unusual incident with a taxi driver, (definitely a one-off situation) and Allen picked us up without hesitation while Dwayne managed all interactions with the cab company, and even reimbursed us directly on top of getting the cab company to do the same. The people here were great. I'm already missing my claw-toothed bathtub and evening tea. We will certainly come back here on our next visit to Savannah.
We are so happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay at the Forsyth Park Inn. I, personally enjoyed having you all stay with us. It was a delight getting to know you and helping you discover the city of Savannah. We are here waiting on you to come back and see us again. You will be welcomed with open arms and a glass of Sangria.

I stayed in room 1. Very large and comfortable. The jetted tub was a nice treat after a long day walking. The service was exceptional most of the time. A young girl worked at the front desk on 2 days and directed me to a restaurant which was terrible. Her idea of upscale was not the same as mine. The breakfast was good, fresh and hot but pretty ordinary; pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs & fresh fruit. The late night cookies and infused water was a nice touch. I would suggest they add some camomile or other relaxing tea to the choices. The view from the front porch was spectacular. I happened to be there when the park was in full bloom. The parking was pretty easy and free on the street. Fairly easy walk to downtown and even easier access to the free public bus.
