4.8 out of 5Unbelievable service!
February 09, 2013
My husband and I stayed at the Foley Inn while visiting Savannah recently. We have stayed at bed and breakfast inns in other cities, but never in Savannah. The staff at Foley House provided better service than any place we have ever stayed! If we needed reservations, the concierge on duty was ready and willing to make reservations for us. Tyler, the concierge on duty the nights we stayed, was very helpful when we asked him about different restaurants. He marked up a map for us, told us which ones to avoid, and offered to make reservations if we needed them. I was worried about dressing too casually, but Tyler reassured me that Savannah was very laid back when it came to dress codes. He couldn't have been more helpful! When we arrived, Ed wouldn't think of letting us carry our own luggage. Even though it was raining, he came to the car and carried out bags in for us. The food was delicious! You will not find better iced tea anywhere! These Georgians know their tea! Great food, great room, and great staff! Keep it up, Foley House!

My wife and I have been guests a couple of times at the Foley House in Savannah, and the staff , rooms, and overall enjoyment of our stay gets better every time. Alison and Grant are gracious hosts, and I cannot express enough the feeling of home that you experience while in their stay. I would recommend anyone that enjoys a comfortable room, gracious service, and friendly atmosphere spend their time while in Savannah at the Foley House. LOVED this place!!! Not only did it look exactly like it does on its website with BIG well-appointed rooms, the place oozed with Southern charm and hospitality. From the minute we got there, we were greeted with a smile and it only got better from there. Such a courteous and helpful staff, wonderfully yummy breakfasts that we looked forward to every morning, afternoon treats and "sweet tea" (another Southern thing that we loved!), and the best appetizers with some wine in the parlor every evening before dinner--we did not want to leave! EASY to walk everywhere...overlooks a beautiful and quiet square...lovely and quiet courtyard where we enjoyed both breakfasts and late night wine. Can't say enough about this place--everything was top notch and we'd recommend it to everyone! We will be back next time we're in Savannah!
1.6 out of 5Great location but very disappointing B&B.
May 07, 2010
Reserved a room with a private patio garden for myself and my 73 year old mother who has a bad hip and walks with a cane. After climbing the entrance stairway to the lobby, we were warmly greeted, checked in and then the staff expected my elderly mother to walk up two long stairways to our room. I explained I had reserved the room with the patio garden because I expected it to be on the ground floor. The staff said the room was no longer available and they had "upgraded" us to a room on the 4th floor. I explained to them my mother could not climb all those stairs. I should have gone with my 1st instinct to leave and find another B&B. They explained the AC in the room we had reserved didn't work but they had another room on the ground floor but it would have to be cleaned. We waited a very short amount of time and were taken to the new room. It was lovely, but when we returned to the room after dinner and turned down the bed it was clearly evident the pillow cases had been changed but the sheets had not and I had to ask for clean sheets and make the bed. Very disappointing and I would never recommend this B&B.

Very nice B&B. As a bonus, we were told it is also haunted. My wife and I enjoyed ourself. Central to all old town Savanah as well as the river front. Parking on the street was a negative.

Our check in went smoothy and our room was gorgeous. We enjoyed cocktails with other guests and then went to dinner. Upon our return we were delighted to find chocolates and rose petals on our turned down bed. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Breakfast in the morning was equally as good. Wonderful wonderful place.

4.0 out of 5Great experience
March 30, 2009
My wife and I stayed two nights in the Beekman Place room at Foley House. The room was clean and met our expectations for the price. The service was good and Jason, the host, was extremely gracious and helpful in answering our questions and making recommendations. The food was outstanding. The location, right in the middle of the historic district, made it a comfortable walk to just about everywhere. Thumbs up for the Foley House Inn.
