Part of the quirky and spectacular fun of Savannah is its reputation as a haunted city. East Bay Inn, was built in 1852, just steps away from the dark waters of the Savannah River. The Inn has it's own place in the city's spooky folklore, thanks to our "ghost," who has been affectionately named "Charlie" by our staff.
Our Deluxe Queen Rooms are our mid-sized guest rooms with our "mid-range" rate. At approximately 245 square feet in size, you'll find these rooms to be comfortable and relaxing. Most of these rooms are located towards the center of the property. This is an excellent room choice for travelers looking for a grand experience that's not over the top, just warm, welcoming and peaceful.

Our Deluxe Two Queen Rooms are our mid-sized guest rooms with two queen beds. There are five of these popular rooms in the inn, and you'll find each of them to be comfortable and relaxing. This is an excellent room choice for small families or anyone just wanting two beds.

Our Superior Queen Rooms are our largest guest rooms, featuring larger bathrooms and the very best city views offered at the inn. With a birds-eye view of the Bay Street below, the Superior Queen Rooms have windows peaking outside to live oak trees covered in Spanish moss. It's a very classic Savannah feeling to be relaxing near the windows of these large and beautiful rooms. Likely the most stunning feature of these Superior rooms are their spaciousness, which is by this room tall ceilings. There are 12 ft ceilings on first floor; 16 ft ceilings on second floor and 18 ft ceilings on 3rd floor. These are our most popular rooms.
Among East Bay Inn's 28 guest rooms, you'll find five exceptionally cozy, romantic and intimate guest rooms that we call our "Cozy Queen Rooms." They're smaller than other rooms at the inn, but what they lack in size, they more than make up for in comfort and style. These are the quietest rooms in the house, located towards the rear of the property, and are an exceptionally romantic room choice.
You might not expect a high-end historical inn to welcome your four-legged family members, but East Bay Inn is proud to play host to your furry friend. East Bay Inn has six guest rooms dedicated to travelers with pets. Because space is limited, pet reservations are not accepted online. We do require a phone call so we can talk with you about your pet's visit and reserve one of our pet friendly rooms. We do charge a $40 non-refundable fee for your stay, but we're pretty sure you'll find Fido worth it.
East Bay Inn offers intimate meeting facilities for business and social gatherings. Located on the inn's lower level, the meeting space is adjacent to Skyler's restaurant, one of Savannah's favorite eating establishments. An exposed brick wall and a warm red color on opposing walls lends a cozy, quaint and very "Savannah" feel to meetings and parties. Iron columns, exposed beam-ceilings, brick flooring and fireplace round out the room's decor.
Our Superior Two Queen Rooms are similar with our Deluxe Two Queen Rooms, but have larger bathrooms and have very best city views offered at the inn. East Bay Inn has only four Superior Two Queen Rooms, and they are among the most often requested rooms at the inn. This room's 16 and 18 foot ceilings give these rooms a wonderful, open feel that sets them apart. We highly recommend making reservation in advanced for this room type.

Had a great stay at the East Bay Inn. VERY friendly staff and VERY VERY pet friendly. Loved our room! HUGE and comfortable. Will not stay any place other than the East Bay Inn while visiting Savannah!!!!

The East Bay Inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast in a great location just across from the riverfront and within walking distance of the squares, shopping and restaurants. The staff at the front desk, at breakfast and the bellmen provided great service, restaurant recommendations and local tour information. I am very picky about cleanliness and thought details within the room could have been cleaner (baseboards, blinds, shower curtain) and a couple of items in the bathroom needed minor maintenance attention. Overall, it is a nice place and a good value.

The East Bay Inn is not only well located and affordable... It also reminds us why choosing a B&B over a hotel can make your stay personalized and unique. The service is outstanding and we were charmed by the hospitality of the entire staff. Getting to meet other guests over cheese and wine around 5 pm is a great way to share experiences and get good recommendations. We already recommended the East Bay Inn and definitely plan to be back!

My husband and I had the nicest weekend a week ago at The East Bay Inn. As we arrived, we were greeted by the folks at the front desk. When we got to our room, we were so pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the room. The decor was in blue (my fav. color) and it was just breath taking. I couldn't have imagined being in a better place. The view was of the main strip in Savannah. We enjoyed the wine and cheese snacks in the early evenings. The breakfast was nice every morning. The location was great. It was close to everything. We walked everywhere. We will definitely go back to this Bed and Breakfast again.
