    Love Savannah!

    February 17, 2009

We stayed at 188 West for two nights around 8 years ago and found it to be a wonderful experience. Each time we drive back through Savannah we have often gone by to see if they we still in operation. Very quaint, loved the separate entrance and fish pond in back courtyard. The hosts were absolutely charming as their home. (We have an historic home also), and always try to find a B&B that has that "old world" charm. Glad I found you on the web, for we are coming back to Savannah in late May on our way to Florida and will be booking with you on the way in and out from our vacation. This place is a must, great location, close enough to river, antiques, retaurants (you can even get a pedi-cab if you do not like to walk. Glad I found you again Jim & Andrea:) Bonnie Calliotte

    Very nice, large, private apartment.

    October 16, 2008

Despite the musty smell in this downstairs apartment, it was great to have a lot of very personal space to stretch out in at the end of a long day. The host stocks the place for your stay, and then you don't see her again. I mean that positively. She will leave you completely alone, but will respond if you need anything. The apartment is very large, but very dark. While quite a way from the historic downtown, it is a pleasant walk in the morning, but a bit of a trial at the end of a long day. However, the FREE shuttle passes only two blocks away, and goes right downtown. This place was quiet, spaceous and private

    What a find!

This charming B & B is more than just that -- it is a private apartment with full kitchen and private entrance. Walking distance to most everything and we love the fact that breakfast provisions were supplied for us to "do it yourself" on our time-frame. Lovely!
