Inn Details
The York House Inn is Georgia’s oldest Bed and Breakfast, proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Situated near the base of the Appalachian Trail, the Inn provides a unique view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and easy access to colorful places, like Tallulah Gorge, Black Rock Mountain, Asheville and the Highlands.
The York House welcomes all guests, but specifically caters to groups. We offer a comfortable, flexible, cost-effective space for gathering and enjoy hosting special occasions, such as weddings or church retreats. Please contact us about your hosting your special event.
All the York House bedrooms were updated and refurbished as part of the larger renovation project begun in May of 2004. The refurbishments included repainting and removing the carpeting and refinishing the wood floors, some heart-pine. The rooms have new furnishings, linens, and rugs. Rooms have been decorated in the historic style of the Inn. In most rooms, where space allowed, seating areas were created. The bathrooms have been updated and many fixtures replaced. Some showers have been enlarged and bathroom floors have been tiled or left with the painted pine floors appropriate to the period.
All rooms maintain a unique character (although they are not named). The York House offers two rooms with King Beds, four rooms with Queen Beds, two rooms with Double Beds, and three rooms with two Double Beds. Room price depends on room size and bed size.
