    This privately-owned luxury Guest House is nestled within the urban compound of Moultrie's historic district, one of the first dwellings constructed to accommodate Officers of the nearby Pre-WWII Air Base, built in 1934 during the tenure of the property's first owner W.J. Pippin. Later in 2004, current owner J. H. Drake, extensively renovated the building by adding significant updates. Today, the property once again welcomes tenants and guests to the city where Southern hospitality has always been an art. Guests at 715 First Street S.E. We have four rooms to accommodate our guest The Plantation Room and Nautical Room have two queen beds each. The Southern Hospitality Room and Congo Room have one queen bed each and are on the ground floor. The city’s legendary downtown Courthouse Square is only a few steps away. A stroll along the breathtaking historic homes and churches you’ll find award winning restaurants fascinating and important places of interest that add to the city’s ambiance.

    My new wife and I recently stayed at the Pippin Drake House on the first night of our marriage. Her family is from Moultrie and most of them had never heard of the place. I did not even tell her where we were staying until we showed up. She was quite pleasantly surprised with the accomodations. We both enjoyed how private our rooms were with separate outside entrances. There is a full kitchen, full bath, and large room with bed and living space. I am not sure about the food offered there, we slept in and kept to ourselves during the stay. The Manager was very accomodating to my needs. I didn't think I would be there during normal check in times and he was more than willing to work with me. It was a wonderful place to stay within walking distance to downtown Moultrie.

    This place is beautiful AND affordable! I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and scenery. Moultrie is a nice little town. Anyone coming to visit should stay at Pippin Drake Guest House. You'll love it. I did!
