Lily Creek Lodge

Stayed here on December 17th 2011 for my mini-honeymoon. This was an awesome little Lodge and run by the sweetest lady. She negotiated time arrangements for us to get there and leave. The rooms were excellent, breakfast was wonderful & the lodge itself was beautifully decorated. Its in a quiet place, hardly any noise. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. 5/5 stars! Not to mention its in Dahlonega, GA. So many beautiful things to see in the mountains!

I have stayed at a few bed and breakfasts. This was most definitely different. I was very nice. The downstairs area was very nice, very welcoming. The rooms are located on the second and third floor. There is a long hallway and rooms on either side. When I walked into my room, there was a small sitting area with not so comfortable sitting, and then a doorwar to the bedroom. The bedroom was quaint, but what I found odd was that the bathroom was essentially a closet made into a bath. The shower did not drain very well and there was not proper ventilation for the shower steam. The sink was located outside of the closet area, which was another thing I found odd. One last thing that was a little odd was the size of the television. It was no bigger than a small 14 inch computer monitor. I know these people make lots of money charging $300 for a room for two nights, so I'm sure they could spend a little money to get a bigger TV for the rooms and possibly knock the wall between the bedroom and "sitting area" to open the place up and allow the TV to be watched from the bed if desired. All in all, however, this was a nice place for a weekend stay. The food was good, not exceptional, but very good. The cookies were exceptional. The staff/owner were wonderful and helpful.

Low keyed and comfortable/relaxing. I wouldn't recommend the third floor if you are over 6ft tall. Bathroom was small as well. Owner had great suggestions and offered assistance in dining experiences. We purchased a $30 winery tour "coupon" prior to our arrival...when presented to the winery, they didn't know what to do with it..."had never seen it before". Not sure if this is something new for the lodge. I wouldn't recommend getting it in advanced, would have saved you some $

Sharon was a doll! She was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The only "problem" was that the ceiling in the room was low... my 6' tall boyfriend couldn't stand up straight in the bedroom. Otherwise... everything was wonderful!

Nice, cozy bed and breakfast. The food is very good and the staff are warm and friendly. Close proximity to downtown Dahlonega. The only downside is that the showers are very small with low water pressure.

The Lily Creek Lodge is a lovely romantic get-away! Each room is individual and unique, and the staff and like family. Thank you!

Sharon and her staff were incredibly accommodating! Every request was met with a smile. The property itself is a wonderful and relaxing retreat although the bathrooms are a bit cramped but fully functional with lots of hot water. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. When in Dahlonega again we will most definitely book at room at Lily Creek Lodge.

This was mine and my boyfriends first time at a bed and breakfast. The staff was amazing. VERY friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the scenery was great! We had a wonderful experience at Lily Creek Lodge.

We love to go to Dahlonega and visit the wineries. This was the first time we had stayed at Lily Creek, and we really enjoyed it! Very short drive to downtown Dahlonega and most of the wineries. We stayed in Geisha room, and liked the privacy and having our own little deck. It had a full kitchen (rather dated), which we didn't utilize, but could come in handy for longer stays.

Exceedingly friendly hostess who goes out of her way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Great secluded swimming pool with waterfall is a great place to relax. Breakfasts were excellent with homemade breads and biscuits, and the coffee was wonderful. We would be glad to return.

My wife and I had a very pleasurable experience while staying at Lily Creek lodge! The grounds are nestled in the woods down a long driveway and look very similar to stays that we experienced while in Germany. The lodge has a Southern German atmoshphere. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. Each room in the lodge had its own theme and atmosphere which made the experience neat. The grounds were well kept and the pool was amazing. The pool was very nice with sitting areas around the edge, a waterfall, and a pavilion with additional seating and a hot tub. We spent a significant amount of time in the pool after walking around all afternoon. Our breakfast was homemade and very good. We would highly recommend this lodge to others if you are looking for a B&B in the Dahlonega area.

A stay at Lilly Creek Lodge is a memorable adventure. The rooms are uniquely and tastefully decorated in a variety of motifs that provide a museum-like quality experience. If the heating system is as efficient in winter as the cooling system is in summer, interior comfort will never be compromised. The adequately supplied (and again tastefully appointed) rooms are slightly smallish, but this adds to the intimacy that such a venue should present. The bath and shower match the room size, if not further diminished, but are adequate. The secluded location assures quiet and comfort in a naturally rugged setting. But for the mid-night song of a neighbors canine, deep and comfortable sleep awaits. Plants and landscape art are craftily employed to present an aesthetically pleasing environ. The pool, nestled at the lower end of the property is as refreshing as advertised, secluded, yet positioned to take full advantage of a hot August sun. Though the inoperative covered whirlpool and pool waterfall lessened the potential enjoyment, temporary mechanical difficulties can and will befall any property. The breakfast was carefully prepared and presented in an elegantly casual and inviting atmosphere. The ample portions and delicious flavors provided nearly daylong hunger relief. The staff was extremely accomodating as was the entire facility. The locale and accomodations are conducive to romantic fireworks and taking advantage of the attractive nuances and privacy is a highly recommended approach. Lily Creek Lodge is a stay to remember and definitely warrants a return engagement.

My husband and I stayed one night at Lily Creek on our way home to Florida after a week in Tennessee. So glad we did! Beautiful lodge, fantastic gardens and natural pool. We stayed in the Antarctic Room - huge, comfortable bed -best night's sleep of our trip. Homemade breakfast in the antique-filled lodge in the morning - friendly, helpful innkeeper. Ask if your room is on first or second floor - steps to the upper rooms could be tough for bad knees, etc. Would definitely consider staying here again if we come back to Dahlonega.

The Lily Creek Lodge is set on a well-kept, secluded property that really added to the sense of tranquility and relaxation for which we were looking. We stayed in the Moonglow room which was a great space with good natural light. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would return again.

We came here for a special occasion & greatly enjoyed our stay. We have already recommended Lily Creek Lodge to others & look forward to visiting again someday. It was a tranquil setting with lots of outdoor seating options. The pool area was fabulous and it was pictures of that space that really made me select this B&B in the first place. It turns out to be in a great location not very far from Dahlonega… with a nice variety of restaurants to choose from for a small town. All of our meals out were great and we had fun at the activities we chose to do one day- but mostly spent time this trip enjoying the grounds & pool, as our main intent was to just relax. The owner (Sharon) & staff are friendly to chat with if you choose to engage them in conversation- otherwise they leave you to quietly enjoy your stay. They do have a beautiful cat allowed in main floor public rooms but I had no issue with her while using OTC allergy medications. Some staff went out of their way to help keep the cat out of the main floor rooms when they knew I would be dropping by (i.e. to use the ironing board). The food was awesome. Every recipe was delicious and served in nice combinations. I arranged ahead for special meal in the Tree House, which was a treat. Nice & shady, so not too hot there even in the summer. The facility has neat fixtures like the bfast room chandelier and front door hardware and antique fancy bird cages, etc. The use of antiques in the guests rooms (as seen on website photos) also means that some rooms have more functional / comfortable seating furniture and more vs less vs no drawer storage options than others. Just realize that ahead of time from the room pics so no surprises and you will be fine.

My husband & I stayed at Lily Creek Lodge July 4 & 5, 2011. We were greeted by a courteous young woman who offered us some wine then helped us get our luggage to our room. We had a corner room with lots of windows & ample light. The bed turned out to be a little too firm for my husband & I so we asked the inn keeper, Sharon, if we could change rooms. She was very gracious & charming. She said no problem & told us to take the Antarctica room because the mattress was softer on that bed. We were very comfortable in that room. We enjoyed the pool which has a beautiful waterfall. The spa was available but we just didn't have enough time to use it. Breakfast was served to us at a time of our choosing, in the quaint dining room. It was delicious & filling. I had emailed the inn keeper before our arrival to let her know of food allergies my husband & I have. She was very attentive to these & our breakfast did not contain any foods we couldn't eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was the first time my husband & I stayed at a bed & breakfast. We're glad we chose Lily Creek Lodge. We will stay there again.

My stay at Lily Creek Lodge was fantastic. If you want a great get away, romantic, and quiet, this is the Place. It was nicely located to downtown, but not too close. The meals were wonderful, and very tasty. The service was beyond all expectations. The pool area was just an excellent experience, we had our prepared picnic lunch there. The breakfast in the trees was so romantic. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were well furnished. All in all it was great, I highly recommend it. Although, I should not, now you will go there and make it crowded. I intend to make it an annual event, or even go back in the fall as well.

We came to Lily Creek Lodge for a mother/daughter getaway and it was amazing! The pool/pavilion facility was perfect for relaxing during the day and the Moonglow Suite was just the right choice too! I would definitely recommend the lodge!

My husband and I stay at Lily Creek for our 30th anniversary get-away. The property was beautiful and quiet, and we enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Breakfast was good, just the right amount and flavorful. I loved our Middle-eastern themed room at the top of the house. The decor was fun and made us feel like we had a real break from our busy lives. We didn't do a whole lot, but did enjoy a couple of relaxing meals in Dahlonega at Shenanigans.

We celebrated our 3rd year wedding anniversary there and the attention to detail was outstanding. They displayed great culinary skill in the preparation and serving of the meals. Our room was romantic, warm, and full of charm. They really catered to our every need. We do not go back to the same place twice, but we will be back!

Stayed there last year!! None of the pictures are realistic. Service is terrible. Innkeeper is rude, asked if I could get something else for breakfast and he said "there is cereal in the other room if you do not like what we are serving" Heat control was terrible bathroom was very small. Never lit a fire. Reception was "How would you like to pay"

Though my husband and I just went for a quite romantic getaway, I found Lily Creek Lodge to be much more than that. The refreshing pool with its waterfall was delightful and hypnotizing! We read our books there while sipping wine. Later, we brought a picnic dinner down to the outside gazebo near the over-size hot tub and just relaxed some more. Most of all, the hosts and help were all very gracious and kind. It was a wonderful place to be!

Great people and very enjoyable experience. Don't forget to say HI to their cat BISCUITS!!

My husband and I had a great time at the lodge. We would recommend it to anyone wishing for some quiet time with family.

The inn keeper (Sharon) could not have been more accommodating and friendly. In business for 13 years, the inn was a wonderful collection of memorabilia set in a quiet location where I could listen to the birds (not traffic). I would return here any time.

The Lily Creek Lodge is on a very nice lot and all the rooms are beautifully furnished. The breakfasts were always excellent and Sharon is extremely nice. The bed was a little hard for our tastes, but that is a matter of personal preference. I expect we will be back as often as we get the chance.

We really enjoyed celebrating our wedding anniversary at Lily Creek recently. The room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We were in the Frenchwoman's Boudoir which was light, airy, cheerful and had a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the old-house feel of the creaking floor and slanted ceiling, and were amazed at the economical design of the bathroom. The grounds were beautiful, peaceful and inviting. The location so close to Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls where we hiked and all the wineries, is ideal. We will always have happy memories of this anniversary! Benson & Beth

Sharon, the owner, is an outstanding cook. Every breakfast was unique and tasty. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the hot tub was welcome after a day of activities.

Attentive but not intrusive staff, a welcoming and comfortable environment, delicious breakfast every morning, beautiful wooded setting... just what we wanted for a relaxing getaway weekend!

Lily Creek Lodge was a lovely escape in the mountains. It's a very charming inn that is bigger than it appears. The grounds are pretty cool--I'd love to see the pool and waterfall in the warmer months--I'm sure they're beautiful. The hot tub was not working properly. All in all, it was a very nice stay!

Nice people. Sharon and Pam are terrific, and the other ladies were all pleasant and engaging. Extras were perfect. Basics were average, meaning rooms while clean are just okay. Breakfast was just okay.

For the cost, it was fine. The breakfast was delicious and fine for a woman, but the portions were probably a little small for a man. The bathroom was real small (I've had a larger bathroom on a cruise ship), but it was adequate for the one night. Being there in Feb, we didn't get to experience the outdoor amenities, but I would think in the summer, a stay would be much nicer. I would probably stay there again.

You never really know what your getting youself into until you actually go see it for yourself. Picutres can be deceiving. Fortunately, this was a nice surprise. There were plenty of awesome outside gathering places and a large family room for a group gathering on the main floor. The decor was a bit too much for me since I like open bright spaces (felt sortof "Goth") but it was cool to look at and hear the stories that came with the pieces. Ask about the pirate ship doors!!! The owners have traveled the world seeking out unique pieces to decorate their B&B with. The place is stuffed with carved statues, ornate furniture, rich fabrics, dark wood and stuff I can't even describe. Most of the sitting furniture is not too comfortable just because of the age and design of it but still pretty interesting. The breakfast was very good and instead of one main dining table they have about 7 rounds set for 2 people. If you are a big person you will need to request a room w/ a larger shower. Most all rooms have very tiny (very tiny!) showers. The water pressure is low but it didn't bother us at all. If you are an early riser and must have coffee first thing, bring a little pot to brew some for yourself because the main doors are unlocked at 8:30 with coffee ready then. (the anticipation of coffee just made us enjoy it all the more! lol!) The rooms don't have personal fridges but you can store your doggie-bags or wine in their main fridge if you ask. No biggie. Overall, we really did enjoy this place and would love to see it in the summer with the pool waterfall running and the leaves on the trees...I'm sure it is just a sight to behold!! Ready to book it again!!!

Beautiful location. We want to return during the spring and summer to enjoy it when the weather is warmer.

This experience was not nearly as warm and welcoming as our only other experience at a B & B. There were no treats such as cookies or coffee & hot chocolate awaiting us. The heating system was a bit of a problem, and the bathroom was cramped. The breakfast, however, was very good.

I recently spent the most romantic weekend of my life at Lily Creek Lodge. From the moment we arrived the atmosphere that was created by the Innkeeper , Sharon Bacek and her staff Pam, Mere, Ellie and Biscuit was AMAZING. I don't think I will ever stay at another traditional hotel EVER. The customer service was exceptionally good. The property was beautiful, from the lobby to the room and grounds surrounding it...it was breathtaking at this time of year. I will go back to visit Lily Creek without a doubt.

We spent two nights in a second-floor room (stairs are on the outside of the Inn). Price was a bit high for the quality of the rooms and the facility.

My wife and I wanted a few days of rest and we selected the Lily Creek Lodge for no other reason than not being able to decide on accommodations, so we just selected one. It was a wonderful guess for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lodge. The fireplace in the entrance area was a warm welcome from the outdoor chill. Our room was spacious, quiet and conducive to rest. Sharon and her staff were courteous and attentive to our needs; we will certainly be returning to the Lily Creek Lodge when visiting Dahlonega again. Dr Daniel Anders

Good B&B experience. Easy access to and from lodge. Short car ride from downtown square. Close to local wineries, state parks, hiking trails etc. The rates were high but attracted very nice, friendly people!

Staff was friendly and pleasent to deal with. Facilities were out dated. We were not informed of what ways offered. No ice or basic amendaties offer by most B&B's or hotels. Great location and quiet, relaxing envirnment. Rooms were small and slightly musty.

Hot tubs are great, beautiful location, staff is very friendly and helpful.

I was unable to go on my vacation due to an emergency out of the State. The innkeeper was very understanding and said that she had to honor my reservation but would give me a gift certificate for a two night stay. I am anxious to claim that offer.

The courtesy extended by the inn keepers was outstanding. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was most welcoming. My wife and I heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic weekend. Nearby Dahlonega has good eating and even a community theatre which we greatly enjoyed.

My wife and I have been visiting Lily Creek Lodge 2-3 times a year for the last 3 years. we love it! Each room has a different theme, each is cozy and romantic, as is the town of Dahlonega. It's a perfect weekend getaway for us - only 45 minutes from Atlanta yet it feels like another world! Drew and Megan.

This is such a cozy and charming place tucked away in a beautiful natural setting. The rooms are so much fun, each with its own unique style. We love the huge fireplace and sitting area. There is also a wonderful swimming pool, complete with waterfall, surrounded by beautiful trees and natural flora. The hostess could not be more personable and charming. This is an ideal get-away for every season.

My wife and I have stayed at a number of fine bed and breakfasts in the South but Lily Creek is the best value, bar none. Delightful pool. unique rooms, breakfasts to die for, genial hosts, and beautiful area. We can't wait to go back. Pete and Joanne Rich.

My husband and I spent several days at lily creek this past year. I want to say it was the best time we ever had. the breakfast was outstanding. The use of spice's were the best we have had in a bed and breakfast in a long time. you must take advantage of the homemade trail mix. The beds are very comfortable and you are made to feel like you are part of the family. thank you
