Inn Details

Willow Creek Inn is nestled at the base of Bushyhead Mountain, named for a Cherokee Indian Chief that is said to have live in the same location. The property was purchased by Marshall Carroll in 1969 and is part of the original Georgia Mountain Water properties. Mr. Carroll bought the property as a retreat for his family and church. Mr. Carroll's daughter, Gail Johnson, is the owner and manager of the properties and the host of the Willow Creek Inn.

There is also a small working family farm at Willow Creek Inn. With milk cows, goats, chickens, turkeys, farm cats and our two golden retrievers. Behind the inn we have a cottage garden featuring Mel Bartholomew's square foot garden concept.

Activities on sight include, fishing & canoeing, in our private stocked lake. Hiking and mountain biking on our trails. ask us about our "Back to the Basics" teaching sessions. Come and learn how to milk a cow, make butter, press fresh apple cider, have an intro to beekeeping, watch the resident chain saw carver, grind wheat and make fresh bread, make soap or candles...or just come to the quiet and rest.

Take the 6 mile ride into the charming small town life of Blue Ridge and stroll down main street and shop at the many antique stores or take a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.
If the season is right, you can raft the Ocoee River, home of the 1996 Olypmics or tube down the Toccoa River. Merciers Orchard is open 7 days a week and offers lunch. Be sure to take home a bushel of apples and some fried pies.

The Inn is open year round and offers 4 rooms in the main house and 3 in the original farmhouse that dates back to the early 1900s.
