"Home is where the heart is." There couldn't be more heart at The Olde Savannah Inn and I couldn't have felt more at home. Before I even reached the front gate, I was warmly greeted by Kathleen, her bright smile and down-to-earth energy – the perfect elixir for a long drive and stressful life back home. My load was immediately lightened as my bag was swept away and I was guided through a front courtyard filled with the sounds of cascading water. My room, the luxurious Provence room, overlooked this charming garden space. A tour of my retreat and the upstairs living space ended with a glass of wine, homemade peach cobbler and a delightful conversation with Kathleen. Breakfast was an experience I will always remember – exquisite, yet comfortable, with an intimate energy. Kathleen's undeniable passion for pampering her guests with food, ambiance, design and great conversation started each day in such a magical way. The room was filled with laughter, engaging conversation and a brightness that lasted the whole day. Never have I enjoyed such a wonderful meal at a B&B where the guests felt so at home and immediately connected. I left with new friends, a warm heart and rejuvenated spirit.

"Let me pamper you," were the words Kathleen said to my husband and I during our amazing stay at this lovely inn. And pamper us she did! From the wine offered on arrival, to the bottles of water to take on our walks through Savannah in the heat of July, to the tasty sweets left by our bedside in the evenings, even the plush bathrobes and cozy slippers... no detail has been overlooked by Kathleen. If you need anything, she is there for you, from recommendations to reservations. Also, the home is absolutely gorgeous and breakfast is a dream come true. Delicious! Kathleen does a wonderful job with making your stay memorable. We will return!

My wife and I walked up the staircase and were welcomed by an aged wooden door, the kind of age that places the Inn in its historic venue and values the nostalgic. Upon entering the Inn, surprisingly, we were greeted by an actual, "Welcome to Savannah...Hi, I'm Kathleen..." and a cordial conversation ensued. She took time to make us feel at home, asked questions about our travel, and offered complimentary glasses of wine before we went out to dinner. The breakfasts at the Inn were great! The mornings the Inn served blueberry pancakes & Eggs Benedict were some of the best breakfasts I’ve ever enjoyed. The Coffee is French press for breakfast. We also had the best conversations at the breakfast table with the Inn Keeper and other guests. The Inn is also occupied by Mr. Cooper, the resident beagle. This dog is very well behaved, does not smell and is very friendly. We hardly noticed he was even there actually. If you're not allergic to dogs, and not turned off by knowing a dog lives here, you could literally stay here and never have to deal with Mr. Cooper...he's that discrete. We stayed in the Bellevue, "the coldest room in the house" and appreciated the AC after spending much of our stay walking around Savannah. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets better than what we use at home. The rooms are decorated with antique furniture that is classical in taste and thematic for the rooms. The parking is tight, but this is to be expected in a historic city not built for modern vehicles, but we had no issue moving the car on the day we went to Tybee Island. Overall, this is an excellent Inn that contains a wonderful irony. We visited Savannah for the first time, greeted by a Bostonian Inn Keeper who showed us Southern Hospitality, in a city founded by British colonialists, whose Boston Tea party began a revolution. The enigmas run deep I suppose. Visit Kathleen for a taste of the olde South, southern hospitality and an Inn committed to detail.

Wonderful location - could walk to everything - restaurants, sites, river front. It was great to just park the car and enter the aura of the past. Kathleen was a great source of information on what to see given that we were there only one day - felt like we got the most out of our time in Savannah. Home is just so full of careful attention to detail and a very luxurious feel to all the rooms. Garden patios were relaxing and cooling with more than one fountain to enjoy. Kathleen had a glass of wine and ice cold water ready to greet me after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was lovely - coffee from coffee press, fresh fruit and homemade whipped cream on fresh blueberry pancakes. Kathleen made sure that everyone had plenty to eat. I especially appreciated that she had coffee ready for me when I woke up - very lovely touch from a special lady. Definitely would recommend and will stay with Kathleen again if we visit Savannah.

What a wonderful surprise! My husband planned the trip to Savannah to celebrate our anniversary, and I didn't know where we were going until our arrival at The Olde Savannah Inn! Kathleen was a most gracious hostess, and was full of helpful hints and ideas for things to do during our visit. We stayed in the Versailles Court, which was incredibly elegant. The whole Inn has a French feel and is filled with beautiful furniture and accessories. Kathleen doesn't miss any detail! That also apples to the food - she takes great pains to ensure that you'll never have the same breakfast twice during your stay. The company was as great as the food, and we really enjoyed visiting with Kathleen and the other guests. We highly recommend The Olde Savannah Inn and can't wait to return!! I can't say enough about our visit to the Olde Savannah Inn! Kathleen was the perfect innkeeper, very courteous, prompt, and attentive. Breakfast was a thing to behold from this Bostonian woman who now resides in a Southern town! Our room was elegant and had every appointment expected. We even decided to stay an extra night at the last minute, and were so lucky that our room, The Renaissance Room wasn't already booked for that night. We will definitely return to this B&B when we visit Savannah again.

We stayed in this inn over New Years a eve 2013. We were warmly welcomed by Kathleen ( and Mr. cooper, the beagle). We stayed in the Versailles room and enjoyed the warm fire and soothing jacuzzi after long walks through Savannah. Kathleen is an AMAZING cook; her breakfasts were delicious and will last you until dinner time! And save room for her homemade desserts she would lay out for us in the evenings. My favorite, is Kathleen's pumpkin cheesecake. Now I'm waiting for her to poem a restaurant!!

The Inn was very cozy and welcoming to us.Kathleen was very sweet and accommodating and helpful . She steered us to very nice restaurants and helped us with transportation in the city. The banana pancake and white chocolate whipped cream was the very best breakfast we have ever had in the twenty years of staying at B&B's. We met wonderful people during our stay because Kathleen has a knack of drawing people into pleasant conversations. We would love to go back again real soon.A fabulous first time Savannah experience. We made a reservation for April, but we had to cancel due to illness in the family. Kathleen, our host, was extremely considerate and offered us many options to rebook. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by our host and delighted with the beauty of the Inn itself, both inside and out. I think it was the most welcoming B&B on the outside with all it's mums, pumpkins and fall decor. The crystal chandeliers in the entry foyer had me at the start. Our room, The Provence, was charming, romantic and comfortable...as featured...and we particularly liked the private entrance. Breakfasts were to die for, as well as the sweets left in our room for late night munching. We appreciated her suggestions and recommendations for dinner and the boat tour and her arranging for the trolley tour which picked us up at the Inn. Guests certainly have her undivided attention, and she helped to make our first stay in Savannah a memorable one.
