My wife and I stayed at the Inn for our honeymoon in December. We absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. It was evident that Kathleen was very passionate about owning a bed and breakfast and tried her best to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Upon arrival we were welcomed with evening snacks. The next two days we were there, we looked forward to these evening snacks, as they were always delectable home-made treats. We stayed in the Provence room and were not disappointed. The room was quite cozy; the perfect size for the two of us. There was a fireplace beside the bed that was wonderful for the chilly, rainy nights that we experienced while in Savannah. The Inn is in the heart of the historic district. All of the amenities were top-notch. Our favorite things about the Inn were the amazing breakfasts and the loveable Mr. Cooper (Kathleen's loaf of a Beagle). We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in Savannah

Kathleen told us upon arrival the inn had been on the market for 2 years. Much deferred maintenance needs to be done. Direct TV had no signal both nights. Found same bath towels used previous night hanging on bathroom door. Questioned our request for a roll of toilet tissue. Slippers provided appear to have been used by other guests. Single serving of dessert provided upon arrival for a couple? She is very unhappy in her situation, however this should not be imposed upon guests. Made a guest feel uncomfortable in the presence of others because she was not counted upon to appear for breakfast. Today, she told remaining guests they would have no room service because she had 2 doctor's appointments. Told us she might have to discontinue serving breakfast in the near future for economic reasons. Have stayed at other B&B's. Never had this experience. Unable to recommend Old Savannah Inn to anyone. Our 1st Anniversary was a major disappointment.
I greet my guests with a warm hug and settle them to their rooms. The property is for sale like most in Savannah. Due to economic situations, we have had to make cuts. Still serve a plentiful breakfast and a dessert daily. Wine and port are always available. I worked 2 hrs to fix their TV. Missed My doctor's appt. I hang towels as I am preserve our natural resources. I have gone green with all the other inns and hotels. I provide fresh towels to those guest who want them. This guest didn't request fresh towels. At room service, I provided a brand new roll, an hour later requested another roll, only an hour after service. Excessive use of toilet tissue for only 1 night (3 double rolls) Not good for plumbing. I serve more than 1 slice of bacon and a sausage. Read all the positive reviews. I had a guest who cancelled breakfast and changed her mind. I did the best I could on such short notice. I believe this guest wouldn't be happy no matter what I did. I apologize for the oversight with the slippers. I will never let that happen again. I hope this guest will be happy in another inn in Savannah. There are some people you will never make happy. I try my best with all my guests but sometimes it is challenging. I encourage you to read my 5-star reviews throught the intenet.

Absolutely the best stay imaginable. I could go on and on about our stay here but it's to early in the day to kick my feet up in front of the fireplace with my glass of wine just yet. Needless to say The Old Savannah Inn was that place where when your reading a really good book you just can not put it down! Savannah is truly breathtaking but without the right place to stay it just does not make for a wonderful picture perfect ending. My visit was truly that scene you only see in the movies. I never knew that would actually be possible. Kathleen runs this place all by her self and I do not know how she pulls it off! She has got to be the real life Wonder Woman but will not ever reveal this. Probably a good thing though because then her secret to life would no longer work. I will definitely be back God willing but next time I'm staying for a month! Ok a week but it sounded nice. Kudos to this women and her really cute friend Cooper x's 10!!! - Christina & Haley

"Home is where the heart is." There couldn't be more heart at The Olde Savannah Inn and I couldn't have felt more at home. Before I even reached the front gate, I was warmly greeted by Kathleen, her bright smile and down-to-earth energy – the perfect elixir for a long drive and stressful life back home. My load was immediately lightened as my bag was swept away and I was guided through a front courtyard filled with the sounds of cascading water. My room, the luxurious Provence room, overlooked this charming garden space. A tour of my retreat and the upstairs living space ended with a glass of wine, homemade peach cobbler and a delightful conversation with Kathleen. Breakfast was an experience I will always remember – exquisite, yet comfortable, with an intimate energy. Kathleen's undeniable passion for pampering her guests with food, ambiance, design and great conversation started each day in such a magical way. The room was filled with laughter, engaging conversation and a brightness that lasted the whole day. Never have I enjoyed such a wonderful meal at a B&B where the guests felt so at home and immediately connected. I left with new friends, a warm heart and rejuvenated spirit.

"Let me pamper you," were the words Kathleen said to my husband and I during our amazing stay at this lovely inn. And pamper us she did! From the wine offered on arrival, to the bottles of water to take on our walks through Savannah in the heat of July, to the tasty sweets left by our bedside in the evenings, even the plush bathrobes and cozy slippers... no detail has been overlooked by Kathleen. If you need anything, she is there for you, from recommendations to reservations. Also, the home is absolutely gorgeous and breakfast is a dream come true. Delicious! Kathleen does a wonderful job with making your stay memorable. We will return!

My wife and I walked up the staircase and were welcomed by an aged wooden door, the kind of age that places the Inn in its historic venue and values the nostalgic. Upon entering the Inn, surprisingly, we were greeted by an actual, "Welcome to Savannah...Hi, I'm Kathleen..." and a cordial conversation ensued. She took time to make us feel at home, asked questions about our travel, and offered complimentary glasses of wine before we went out to dinner. The breakfasts at the Inn were great! The mornings the Inn served blueberry pancakes & Eggs Benedict were some of the best breakfasts I’ve ever enjoyed. The Coffee is French press for breakfast. We also had the best conversations at the breakfast table with the Inn Keeper and other guests. The Inn is also occupied by Mr. Cooper, the resident beagle. This dog is very well behaved, does not smell and is very friendly. We hardly noticed he was even there actually. If you're not allergic to dogs, and not turned off by knowing a dog lives here, you could literally stay here and never have to deal with Mr. Cooper...he's that discrete. We stayed in the Bellevue, "the coldest room in the house" and appreciated the AC after spending much of our stay walking around Savannah. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets better than what we use at home. The rooms are decorated with antique furniture that is classical in taste and thematic for the rooms. The parking is tight, but this is to be expected in a historic city not built for modern vehicles, but we had no issue moving the car on the day we went to Tybee Island. Overall, this is an excellent Inn that contains a wonderful irony. We visited Savannah for the first time, greeted by a Bostonian Inn Keeper who showed us Southern Hospitality, in a city founded by British colonialists, whose Boston Tea party began a revolution. The enigmas run deep I suppose. Visit Kathleen for a taste of the olde South, southern hospitality and an Inn committed to detail.

Wonderful location - could walk to everything - restaurants, sites, river front. It was great to just park the car and enter the aura of the past. Kathleen was a great source of information on what to see given that we were there only one day - felt like we got the most out of our time in Savannah. Home is just so full of careful attention to detail and a very luxurious feel to all the rooms. Garden patios were relaxing and cooling with more than one fountain to enjoy. Kathleen had a glass of wine and ice cold water ready to greet me after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was lovely - coffee from coffee press, fresh fruit and homemade whipped cream on fresh blueberry pancakes. Kathleen made sure that everyone had plenty to eat. I especially appreciated that she had coffee ready for me when I woke up - very lovely touch from a special lady. Definitely would recommend and will stay with Kathleen again if we visit Savannah.

What a wonderful surprise! My husband planned the trip to Savannah to celebrate our anniversary, and I didn't know where we were going until our arrival at The Olde Savannah Inn! Kathleen was a most gracious hostess, and was full of helpful hints and ideas for things to do during our visit. We stayed in the Versailles Court, which was incredibly elegant. The whole Inn has a French feel and is filled with beautiful furniture and accessories. Kathleen doesn't miss any detail! That also apples to the food - she takes great pains to ensure that you'll never have the same breakfast twice during your stay. The company was as great as the food, and we really enjoyed visiting with Kathleen and the other guests. We highly recommend The Olde Savannah Inn and can't wait to return!! I can't say enough about our visit to the Olde Savannah Inn! Kathleen was the perfect innkeeper, very courteous, prompt, and attentive. Breakfast was a thing to behold from this Bostonian woman who now resides in a Southern town! Our room was elegant and had every appointment expected. We even decided to stay an extra night at the last minute, and were so lucky that our room, The Renaissance Room wasn't already booked for that night. We will definitely return to this B&B when we visit Savannah again.

We stayed in this inn over New Years a eve 2013. We were warmly welcomed by Kathleen ( and Mr. cooper, the beagle). We stayed in the Versailles room and enjoyed the warm fire and soothing jacuzzi after long walks through Savannah. Kathleen is an AMAZING cook; her breakfasts were delicious and will last you until dinner time! And save room for her homemade desserts she would lay out for us in the evenings. My favorite, is Kathleen's pumpkin cheesecake. Now I'm waiting for her to poem a restaurant!!

The Inn was very cozy and welcoming to us.Kathleen was very sweet and accommodating and helpful . She steered us to very nice restaurants and helped us with transportation in the city. The banana pancake and white chocolate whipped cream was the very best breakfast we have ever had in the twenty years of staying at B&B's. We met wonderful people during our stay because Kathleen has a knack of drawing people into pleasant conversations. We would love to go back again real soon.A fabulous first time Savannah experience. We made a reservation for April, but we had to cancel due to illness in the family. Kathleen, our host, was extremely considerate and offered us many options to rebook. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by our host and delighted with the beauty of the Inn itself, both inside and out. I think it was the most welcoming B&B on the outside with all it's mums, pumpkins and fall decor. The crystal chandeliers in the entry foyer had me at the start. Our room, The Provence, was charming, romantic and comfortable...as featured...and we particularly liked the private entrance. Breakfasts were to die for, as well as the sweets left in our room for late night munching. We appreciated her suggestions and recommendations for dinner and the boat tour and her arranging for the trolley tour which picked us up at the Inn. Guests certainly have her undivided attention, and she helped to make our first stay in Savannah a memorable one.

The Olde Savannah Inn is a beautiful B&B. Kathleen takes great pride in her home, and it shows. All of the rooms are lovely. We had a very quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is within walking distance from the inn. Breakfast is absolutely delicious. Hopefully you get a chance to try her Eggs Benedict! Getting to play with Mr. Cooper, her adorable Beagle was a bonus. Thank you, Kathleen for your hospitality. We had a nice, stress free, quiet and relaxing mini vacation. We didn't want to go home! Please give Mr. Cooper a kiss from us! Dena & Frank

By all means this place has all three and then some! Its within easy walking distance to sights within the historic district from River St to Forsyth Park. Located in a quiet and safe neighborhood with beautiful homes. Our 3 night stay in the Provence Room was delightful with a private entrance and a bright sunny room with a huge walk in shower. Kathleen was a remarkable hostess that attended to our every need and surprised us with treats in our room on our return trips in the late afternoon. Whether it was dinner reservations or touring suggestions, she made it all happen and we were not disappointed! Kathleen gave us the personal touch and shared her stories that made this visit such a special one that you would not want to miss out on. Thank you again!!

We recently stayed at a great bed & breakfast in Savannah, GA. The Old Savannah Inn was a wonderful experience. Miss Kathleen was a wonderful host and a fabulous gourmet chef. Her breakfasts were superb! She made us feel very much at home and cares about your comfort and overall experience in Savannah. She hosts a table full of brochures and information of all kinds. She is very knowledgeable about the city and tours. The Inn is a beautiful old house nicely decorated, clean and inviting. I highly recommend this Inn if you are in the Savannah area and want to experience the "real" good old south experience.

WOW! Is all I can say about this Inn!! Kathleen is a one-woman show who works impeccably hard and it shows. The detail in the place and the way she treats her guests is amazing!!! If you like a Super Clean Place with an Amazing Breakfast - look no further. All the positive reviews are so true. The place is a great value with such an upscale experience. As previous reviews expressed, yes, water pressure-perfect, air conditioning - terrific, bed - super clean with beautiful plush robes, and of course, I better not forget to mention her wonderful pie waiting for us at check-in. Now, the breakfast, she surprised us with a Goat Cheese Omelet on a bed of Organic Spinach - Applewood Bacon, Sausage, Orange Juice and a Beautiful Delicious Fruit Cup. Between the wonderful food, great music playing and her company - A PERFECT MORNING IN SAVANNAH AT THE OLDE SAVANNAH INN. WE COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE. The best part of the experience was talking with Kathleen and getting to know her - she truly is an amazing women and has established so much in her life. She made us feel like we had known her already. I so enjoyed the conversations we shared. Now I need to mention her beautiful companion, her beagle, Mr. Cooper. You would never know he was in the house - he never made any noise and was so friendly - I loved coming up he stairs to see his friendly face!! He adds such a special touch! WITH ALL THAT SAID, ANYONE VISITING SAVANNAH, GEORGIA, NEED LOOK NO FURTHER, IF YOU LIKE THE BED AND BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE, DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER. Kathleen's decor is so beautiful and so are her homemade breakfasts, they are also aboslutely delicious!! We stayed in the Bon Viant room, the bed was so comfortable, and the room so cozy! We went to Savannah in the heat of June 2013, and our room was so cool and inviting. We loved having the patio right off our room as well. Kathleen made us feel right at home and so special at the same time. She had made us homemade yummies and had put them in our room for us for when we had come home in the evening after a long day of sightseeing, what a treat! Our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn was wonderful, one we will never forget and we hope to come back soon!! Five star all the way!! Helen & Ralph Summerlin Gibsonville, NC

My husband and I celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary with Kathleen at The Olde Savannah Inn April 19-21, 2013. Upon entering our room my eyes filled with tears. The room was breathtaking and so much more than the pictures can show. The attention to detail in the decorating of the room was outstanding. My husband has trouble sleeping at home and joked with Kathleen that she must have "sleepy dust" in the room because he had the best nights sleep in a long time. The luxurious bed was so comfortable and beautiful crisp sheets. Yes Kathleen irons her bed linens daily to make the beds beautiful! Imagine getting the best nights sleep ever and then slowly awake to the aroma of a delicious breakfast. As you enter the stunning breakfast table you are greeted with period Olde Savannah music and the smiling face of Kathleen with a fresh coffee press in hand. The first morning we were served white chocolate chip banana pancakes with Kathleen's homemade whip cream which is thought was a rich french vanilla ice cream. The finale breakfast of our trip was the creme brulee french toast I requested from other reviews. It was delicious and again served with Kathleen's home made whip cream. After a long day of touring beautiful Savannah, Kathleen has treats ready for you to rejuvenate before dinner. Imagine sipping wine in a rocking chair on the back porch overlooking the garden. Kathleen arranges your dinner reservations, pedi cab rides to dinner and horse drawn carriage rides after dinner delivering you right back to her fabulous retreat. Don't waste another minute thinking about it, book your experience at The Olde Savannah Inn today! We can't wait to go back.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with The Olde Savannah Inn! My husband and I recently took a romantic weekend getaway to Savannah and we wanted an experience that was unique to the area. This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast, but it certainly won't be our last! (Nor will it be our last trip to the Olde Savannah Inn!) Kathleen takes great pride in making sure every detail is attended and that her guests are treated like family! She greeted us with a warm smile and a big hug and went right to making us feel welcomed! The home is absolutely gorgeous, filled with antiques, paintings, and rugs that scream southern charm! The rooms were breathtaking and the beds were luxuirously comfortable! There were fresh baked goodies in our room each day, and the breakfast was absolutely scrumptious! (Just imagine the taste of creme brûlée stuffed french toast topped with homemade cream!) Kathleen does it all; the cooking, cleaning, decorating, she even irons all the linens! We truly appreciate all of her effort and dedication to her guests. We had a great time and left Savannah wanting more! We certainly hope to return to visit Kathleen soon!

Our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn was exceptional. The rooms were all stunning and filled with lavish details. We have never slept in beds that were so comfortable. Kathleen is a warm and friendly woman. We thoroughly enjoyed her amazing breakfasts along with daily conversation with her. I am so glad we chose this Inn. Our experience could not have been better.

My wife and I visited Savannah with her mother and step-father. We had an amazing time. Our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn was beyond what any of us were expecting. Kathleen, the innkeeper, works very hard to ensure that each guest has a memorable experience. She is extremely welcoming, and makes sure that our every need is met. Kathleen maintains this Inn superbly, and it is hard to believe that it is just her who keeps this place as immaculate as it is. If you visit Savannah, this is THE place to stay. You definitely will not want to miss breakfast, it is truly out of this world.

My wife and I just concluded a most enjoyable stay at the Olde Savannah Inn. To say that we were treated like royalty would be an understatement. Kathleen keeps the Inn impeccably clean, and her breakfasts are out of this world. Each morning, for example, we found juice, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, and hot coffee presses waiting for us at the breakfast table. Meals included creme brulee French toast, tomato and goat cheese omlettes, banana nut pancakes, eggs benedict on croissants, cheesy grits and scrambled eggs, and other mouth watering delicacies. The Inn is housed in a beautifully maintained 19th century brownstone. Our room, the charming Bon Vivant, had access to a private patio - complete with water fountain - through a pair of French doors. Kathleen thinks of everything. A bottle of wine and a jar of chocolates await visitors just inside the front door. A basket of fresh fruit and jars of cookies will be found in the beautifully decorated parlor. Hot water is always available if one desires a cup of tea. Prior to leaving for the day, Kathleen hands her guests chilled bottles of water to take with them. She is always at the ready to suggest dining options, make reservations, call a taxi, or help with sightseeing. You will be hard pressed to find an innkeeper who is more dedicated and looks after her guests so well. If you are interested in a Bed & Breakfast in the historic district of Savannah, we highly recommend The Olde Savannah Inn.

When my wife and I walked in the front door of this beautiful home and were greeted by Kathleen, the owner and inn keeper. Kathleen made us feel right at home with a big smile, a warm hug and an offer of a drink. We stayed in the Provence suite on the lower, (ground), level. This room is beautiful, just like the rest of the house. There is a separate entrance, which is shared by the three rooms on this level and was a nice convenience in that we didn't have to walk up or down any stairs on entry or exit. This door is at the front of the house, right below the main entrance. Every suite has its own bathroom and our room had the coolest shower, which is separate from the bathroom and is revealed when you open what looks like, (and used to be), a closet door, to find a glass door which leads into the two-person, walk-in shower... amazing! Great water pressure, imported soaps and lots of room. This room is very bright and airy, with two windows, a super comfy queen bed, with luxurious linens, a flat-panel TV, ceiling fan, armoire, desk and chair, a collection of books for the avid reader and all the comforts of home. As you have probably read, the breakfasts are fantastic, Kathleen is a very talented cook! The table setting is beautiful with fresh fruit each morning, followed by an amazing main course. On our first morning, to my wife's delight, we had creme brulee french toast, which she is still talking about it and was absolutely delicious! On day two Kathleen made eggs benedict with pesto, which I am still dreaming about! You will be hard pressed to find breakfast this good anywhere!!!! The Olde Savannah Inn is within walking distance of everything in the Historic District, so we found the trolley tour bus unnecessary. Many fine restaurants are located nearby, and the area's largest park is only two blocks away. Kathleen, thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Bill and Cathy

My husband and I just celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary on 7/15/12 by spending a relaxing, romantic weekend in Savannah, GA. We chose to stay at The Olde Savannah Inn which came highly recommended. What a delight! The Inn’s friendly keeper Kathleen welcomed us graciously like family to her home. We enjoyed our stay in the luxurious Versailles Court which had an extremely comfortable king-sized bed with soft linens and canopy top. With its ornate antique furniture, we felt as though we had stepped back in time. The surprisingly large ensuite bathroom has not only 2 beautiful claw foot bath tubs (one with shower attachment), but also a large-enough-for-two Jacuzzi which we enjoyed. Each 9 am breakfast was a feast for the eyes as well as the appetite: plenty of delicious food with beautiful presentation. The attention to detail of the entire Inn demonstrates Kathleen’s impeccable taste and her desire to immerse her guests in elegance. She is so warm and talented. We were quite pleased with her assistance making reservations and recommendations for other dining/touring experiences in the area. We plan to return and let our friends & family know about this gorgeous Inn. Thank you Kathleen!

"We had the most wonderful visit to Savannah because of Kathleen and The Olde Savannah Inn! The inn is in a wonderful location - adjacent to the beautiful Forsythe Park. We have been to many beautiful B & B's but The Olde Savannah Inn ranks at the top as does the innkeeper, Kathleen! She is a one-of-a-kind innkeeper...she is the "hostess with the mostest!" She decorated her home with exquisite furnishings and and the Versailles Court room is "to die for!" This room has the most eloquent bathroom I have ever seen! A jacuzzi tub, claw footed soaking tub and a claw footed shower. I felt like a Roman Goddess in that bathroom! Kathleen's gourmet breakfasts are as wonderful as her beautiful breakfast room that you are served in! I want to thank Kathleen for our wonderful, relaxing visit to Savannah and let her know how much we enjoyed meeting the passionate, caring woman that makes The Olde Savannah Inn so special! We love you Kathleen and wish you the very best!"

I gave my fiancee a night in town and dinner at Elizabeth on 37th for her birthday. Living locally I am very particular about places to stay in Savannah. After reviewing, via the internet, the various Inns available in Savannah, I chose The Olde Savannah Inn for its charm and cozyness. The Versailles Court room was ideal for this special event. Kathleen was a most gracious host, bending over backward to accomodate our every need. We enjoyed the other guests during our special breakfast. Bob and Marilyn

We chose the Olde Savannah Inn for our stay in April from the beautiful pictures on their website and after speaking with the owner, Kathleen, who was so charming and inviting on the phone! Well we weren't disappointed when we entered her beautiful, warm and inviting home. It was truly everything her website said and more! The magnificent chandeliers, lovely antiques and pristine design of the Olde Savannah is what a 5 star B&B should be...and is! In addition Kathleen made our stay so warm and inviting. She is truly a lovely lady who's mission is to make each and every quest feel so special, catering to each individual's every need, making your stay at her home the best experience it could be. From making dinner reservations at the finest restaurant to chauffeuring us to our destination are just a few examples of her dedication to "spoiling" her guests. Then exemplifying her culinary skills with a sinfully scrumptious homemade chocolate cake and a truly gourmet breakfast served with fine linens, china and crystal stemware truly made our stay a 5 star experience! Our suite came with every amenity, from the finest European linens to the luxurious canopy bed that was fabulously comfortable and inviting. We look forward not only to returning to Savannah for a visit but to re-experiencing the charm and luxury of the Olde Savannah Inn and the warmth and kindness given by Kathleen. Thank you so much for creating such fond and lovely memories of our stay with you!

Just returned from a girls weekend at the Old Savannah Inn, the best experience ever! I have never stayed in bed and breakfast before, My friend and I were so welcomed into this beautiful home and enjoyed the company of Kathleen and Dakota and loved getting to know the other guests. Our room, Provence Room my favorite, was charming and elegant and loved the linens and shower. Learned much about the city and can't wait to go back! Did I mention how insane Kathleen's breakfast are? Crazy good! Creme Brûlée French Toast- let's just say I am still dreaming about it. First class experience! Thanks Kathleen and Dakota.

Kathleen, the inn keeper, made our stay in Savannah the best. She pours her heart and soul into making her guests feel welcomed and spoiled. The Inn is so elegant and comfortable. Very clean and private. Love the decor and gardens as well as Dakota, the Inn's black lab. Kathleen serves an elegant breakfast each morning. Bannana -pecan pancakes wth homemade wipped cream, home made keesch, Belgium waffels, sausage and bacon, and frsh fruit. The best part of our stay in Savannah was visiting with Kathleen, her other guests, Dakota, and relaxing at the Inn. Our room was beautiful wth very comfortable king bed, luxury bath and linens,Bose wave radio,Sony tv, robes, slippers, etc. We cannot wait to visit next year. The Inn is located in the historic area. Great for walking. Enjoyed walking her street and talking to the neighbors and viewing all of the old homes and gardens. Just cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Old Savannah Inn. You will feel so at home and spoiled by Kathleen while at the Inn. Don't look any further for a place to stay.

Found the Olde Savannah Inn on the B&B website and was drawn to it immediately. The photos on the site were charming and decadent, and the real thing was even better. Ms. Kathleen was tremendous. Her breakfasts were awesome, and the location near Forsyth Park is perfect . . . close enough to walk to River Street, but far enough away to be out of most of the Historic District congestion. It will definately be on my list of places to stay again.!!

My stay was terrific. Kathleen (owner) is great. Loved the beautiful rooms each one having it's own unique feel, all of which were very elegant, luxurious and tastefully furnished. The bed was super comfortable, the rooms meticulously maintained and clean. All of the meals/food (esp the breakfast, my favorite) was outstanding! As a former guest I would highly recommend "The Olde Savannah Inn" and as a frequent traveler it's way better than other Inns and B&B's Ive stayed at and certainly no comparison to those generic hotels! When in Savannah it's a must stay, it's a little piece of historic heaven in the heart of Savannah.

Sept 2011 Went to the Inn with a BFF for a little getaway. It was a marvelous and beautiful Inn. The decor, service and morning breakfasts were divine. We had a beautiful private garden and entrance. Top notch bedding. Kathleen and her dog Dakota were very warm and accomodating. I would love to stay there again when I go back to Savannah. Barbara T. from Sunmmervile, S.C

We started off our honeymoon at the Olde Savannah Inn in hopes of enjoying a warm and relaxing environment, after an exciting day of celebrating. Boy, were we in for a treat! The decor has a Parisian influence, which was a welcome change to the usual Tudor style B&Bs we were accustomed to. Think "Palace of Versailles", and you wouldn't be too far off in terms of the aesthetics. It was simply breathtaking! We stayed in the Provence Room, which has a private access through a lovely garden. The room itself has a very comfortable king sized bed, a very large shower, a beautiful antique desk and armoire, and a nice flat screen TV. There is also an extensive library including Civil War books, which fit perfectly with the history of Old Savannah. The linens and towels were all very nice quality, and we enjoyed the robes and slippers in our room as well. One major bonus about this B&B is the breakfast, which was simply superb!! On our first day, Kathleen prepared homemade blueberry pancakes topped with dense, homemade whipped cream that was just indescribable. We also enjoyed fresh fruit, homemade sausage and smoked bacon. Everything was just amazing! The second day we enjoyed eggs Benedict, homemade peach cobbler (fantastic!!), sausage and bacon. We are not exaggerating, this was some of the best breakfast we've ever had. Ever. We really don't have any major complaints. The shower was separate from the rest of the bathroom, which was a bit on the small side, unfortunately. Also, the mirror in the bathroom was a little small and difficult to use if you are short. Overall, we highly recommend this B&B. We enjoyed a lovely, comfortable room, compete with evening treats. We met a few very nice people at breakfast and enjoyed conversations with Kathleen as well. She is down to earth and we truly enjoyed getting to know her during our stay. If we ever make a trip back down to Savannah, this will be the first place we will look to stay!

Just returned home from our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn in Savannah, GA. We are missing it already. Our stay was perfect. We picked the Provence room which proved to be exactly what we were looking for. Cozy, soft and airy, with a bonus. We had our own private entrance through Kathleen's beautiful gardens. Breakfast was amazing, we looked forward to it every morning. ( Yeah for creme brulee! ) Kathleen is "The Hostess with the Mostess" for sure. She took care of our reservations, shuttles, tours and etc.... If we wanted or needed anything, she took care of it ASAP. If ever back in Savannah, The Olde Savannah Inn and Kathleen will be our pick.

The rooms, food and service could not be any better for our weekend in Savannah. The service included making reservations at the playhouse and restaurants. The advice on where to dine was excellent. After the great breakfast eating lunch wasn't required. Just an outstanding weekend.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at The Olde Savannah Inn. We were in need of serious rest and relaxation which were provided by the Inn and of course Kathleen. We loved that our room was cozy, beautiful and made for sleeping! Our breakfasts were tailored to our food preferences and were beyond delicious. The Inn is also very conveniently located for walking to restaurants, historic sites, and for the occasional romantic stroll. We had privacy when we wanted it but were also able to chat with other houseguests when desired. Overall a great experience and one that makes us want to return to Savannah!

Find another place to stay, you will be glad you did! The Inn is cute but in over 45 states I've visited and 39 Countries, I have never had a worse experience with an Innkeeper. She complains constantly about the work she does, the money she losing, prior guest. She talks on and on about how beautiful the Inn is but how difficult it is to run by herself... She asked me to help her with the grease trap on her stove and grease ruined my leather shoes. Kathleen just needs a class in how to treat guest especially while they are on what is supposed to be a romantic vacation.... We would never return to this Inn while she owned it. Trust me, find another place to stay unless you want to hear about all of her troubles the whole time!
Dear Viewers, I am Kathleen /owner/inkkeeper of The Olde Savananh Inn and I am responding to this review to disclose the real facts to this guest's stay. First of all, this guest has been posting these negative reviews on all the travel sites in an attempt to destroy the reputation of The Olde Savannah Inn. Notice how many excellent reviews I have on this site. All of them are 5's. How is it possible for this guests to have such a bad experince. I will tell you why. This guest booked in January of 2010 in the Versailles Court on a 2 for 1 sale. Buy 2 nights and get the 3rd night Free. Because Jan is one of our worst months of the year, I needed cashflow so I offered him a 1 year credit to be used in the off season months. Most people would get that. This guests haggled with me by calling me several times before breking me down to concede to his terms. He also owns a credit card business and threathened me with how he knows how the credit card system works as far as cancellation policies. Alot of the inns don't offer a 1 year credt in which is very fair if your intentions are to visit Savananh. If you go to Tripadvisor.com, you will see the same review with a little variation but this is the same guest. I left a management response there for you to read. Please do not be fooled by this malicious review. Guests love The Olde Savananh Inn and we have always honored our mission to make you happy and create memeories of a lifetime. I offered this guest complimentary bottle of wine and desserts in his room upon arrival. I am sorry he has such a hostile opinion of this wonderful inn. There are some people who you will never please.

My daughter and I spent 5 days in Savannah. We stayed at the Olde Savannah Inn which was a delight. We were met by Kathleen and her side kick Dakota (her black Lab) and shown to our room. We stayed in the Renaissance Room. It was perfect from the king size bed on which we slept on pressed sheets like babies to the well appointed bathroom. No detail was overlooked. The inn was built in 1877 and Kathleen has restored it to its former glory. From the chandeliers to the grand piano to the breakfast room - every detail was perfect. Each morning we came down to breakfast and sat at a table with white linens and crystal. We would begin with fruit layered in a crystal goblet. Each day was something new - belgium waffles with Kathleens homemade whipped cream, creme brulee crepes (to die for) crab and tomato omelet and blueberry pancakes. Everything was delicious. Kathleen accommodated my daughters egg allergy with yummy things like apple, bacon and cheese crepes. The garden in front of the Inn is beautiful. Kathleen puts a lot of time in planning and planting her garden. It stands out on the street. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend the Inn to friends and family. We made a special friend when we met Kathleen. You will leave Savannah with a new friend and definitely a feeling of being spoiled. When I get home who is going to make a delicious breakfast for me? We love you Kathleen and Dakota! Thanks for a wonderful vacation. Marilyn "Mom" Lunsford Stone Mountain, GA

We were greeted by Kathleen and her dog, Dakota. Kathleen was very warm, welcoming and helpful. She helped us up to our room which was absolutely beautiful. Kathleen has done a wonderful job decorating. We stayed in the Rennissance room and it is just as beautiful as the pictures on the website. Kathleen takes great pride in the care of her inn and taking care of her guest. She helped my sister and husband plan a romantic anniversary for me. I had flowers and chocolate cover strawberries waiting in the room when we arrived and later that night we went on a horse drawn carriage ride through the historic district that picked us up at the restaurant and dropped us back off right in front of the Inn. Kathleen then serviced us a wonderful tea that she makes and I took it up to our room where I relaxed in the tub and gazed in amazement at the beauty of the bathroom while sipping my tea. I then climbed into the most comfortable bed with linens that were of the highest quality and were hand pressed by Kathleen herself. I sleeped beautifully!!! I hated to see morning come as we only stayed for one night but I quickly forgot my sadness when I began to smell the aroma coming from the kitchen. Kathleen served us a beautiful and delicious breakfast along with meeting some wonderful and interesting people. I truly enjoyed meeting the other guest and hearing their stories. If we are ever back in Savannah I will most definetly will want to stay back at the Olde Savannah Inn. Thank you Kathleen for making our stay and my anniversary one I will not forget.

As a honeymooning couple, we had 2 main desires for our accommodations: privacy, and luxury. We saw both of these needs met in ABUNDANCE as Kathleen, the wonderful hostess and owner, went above and beyond to provide for us the trip of our dreams. Our room was glorious and quiet, and we truly felt the freedom to come and go as we pleased! (Which was so easy to do, as the Inn is only a short walk from the River and is in the heart of the gorgeous Historic District!) We stayed all 7 nights in the Versailles Court Room, and it was PERFECT for our honeymoon. The Jacuzzi bathtub for 2 people was even bigger than we expected it to be! And the charming claw-foot "his and her" bathtubs made us feel like King and Queen! The massive king-sized bed was covered with the most buttery-soft linens I have ever slept on, and the sheer canopy overhead continued to make us feel like royals. The only reason (especially as honeymooners!) we would have pulled ourselves out of that spacious, luxurious room...was for FOOD. :) Kathleen's breakfasts a GREAT reason to get out of bed! Kathleen does it all: savory foods [like 3-cheese scrambled eggs, spinach, ham-smoked grits!], sweet treats [blueberry pancakes, creme brulee French toast, homemade whipped cream!], and ALWAYS the most delightful French-pressed coffee to put a spring in your step before you go explore the beauty of Savannah! We could write up the full menu we experienced for our 7 mornings with Kathleen... but honestly, we feel that her food is something not to be read about, but something to be experienced! There is no possibility for disappointment with Kathleen's incredible cooking. The Olde Savannah Inn is a MUST-STAY in Savannah! The Inn is wonderful not just because of the glorious amenities, but because of the PERSON behind ALL of it: with an eye for detail and a heart for everyone around her! Our praises can't be higher for The Olde Savannah Inn, and the one-and-only Miss Kathleen Dupuis!

Our stay, at the Olde Savannah Inn, was by far, one of the best for us. The inn is absolutely beautiful! We had the most restful sleep there, great food, and were treated like royalty. Kathleen is such a wonderful person who works hard to please. It was great getting to know her and Dakota and Midnight! Watching the St. Patrick's Day parade on the corner was delightful too. If you are looking for a unique and enjoyable place to stay, you will love this place!

My fiance and I took off for a quick romantic little getaway this past weekend and stayed one night at Kathleen's Olde Savannah Inn after a day of play at the beach at Tybee Island. We were immediately welcomed by Kathleen with warm cookies, a glass of wine and a friendly nudge by the house dog, Dakota. Our room was wonderfully comfortable, and we felt cozily tucked away from the world for the night. A beautiful fruit salad and french toast greeted us on Sunday morning, along with light friendly banter with Kathleen and the other guests. It was wonderful!

This was a surprise trip from my husband for my 26th birthday and although I have only had 26 of them, this was by far the best! My husband and I had never stayed at an B&B before, so we were a little anxious. From the moment we entered the door we felt so welcomed. Not only with a hug by Kathleen, but from the Inn pup Dakota, to the kind guests staying there as well. We instantly felt part of the family. Our room was beautiful! Sometimes pictures can lie, but what you see in the pictures is exactly what it looks like in person. We had a wonderful nights sleep and then a magnificent breakfast made by Kathleen in the morning. I felt so loved when Kathleen and the other guest sang Happy Birthday to me. All to the doing of Kathleen and her beautiful Inn, I do not know how my husband will outdo this birthday. Thank you Kathleen for all your hard work.

This was our second trip to The Olde Savannah Inn. We visited last year to celebrate the same occasion (a birthday), and decided it was such a great experience we'd stay again this year. It was better than we remembered. Kathleen (the owner/innkeeper) makes you feel at home and is very personable; however, she balances her excellent interpersonal skills with professionalism and top-notch/5-star service. She's a great hostess, that is able to relate to everyone and all personality types. And if that's not enough, she keeps her inn cleaner than I've seen most 5-star hotels (and she does it all herself -- no other staff). Long story short. If you're visiting Savannah and staying for more than one day, this is the place to stay. Thank you Kathleen. We'll see you the same time next year if not sooner.

We had a wonderful stay with Kathleen at her Inn. When we arrived, a small wedding was about to ensue in the front room next to an enormous Christmas tree and gorgeous French Renaissance decor. Kathleen was very welcoming as she invited us to our room. We melted into the comfortable furniture and quickly relaxed. In the morning, our breakfast was delicious...everything on the plate was arranged beautifully and the taste and quantity didn't compare to any other places we've stayed. This is truly a gem in Savannah. Kathleen's personal touch and warmth made us feel at home. We plan to return for a longer stay!

We had a glorious stay at The Olde Savannah Inn this past November. The Inn keeper, Kathleen and lovely Dakota (best Lab around), made us feel right at home. The Inn (and Kathleen) is elegant, warm and welcoming. From the moment we were dropped off by the taxi till we left 4 days later; Kathleen made sure we were well looked after and cared for. The room was delightful and the breakfasts sumptious. Each afternoon we were greeted with bottles of water and sweet baklava with wine in the evening. Kathleen always had great restaurant recommendations and advice on where to go and what to see. We can't wait to go back and visit Savannah and most importantly the Olde Savannah Inn.

I took my wife to the Olde Savannah Inn for a getaway weekend, and I could not have been more pleased. The Inn is beautiful and our room was spectacular. Only having 4 guest rooms also made the stay more intimate. Kathleen is a wonderful hostess who is very attentinve to your needs and makes the most amazing breakfast. This is a true bed and breakfast complete with a full sitdown meal in the morning and wonderful music in the background. The Creme Brulee French Toast is out of this world. If you want a truly romantic experience in a beautiful Inn with first class ammenities and service, try the Olde Savannah Inn.

On the way from Miami to Charleston, several years ago, my husband and I stopped in Savannah for breakfast. We found that little taste of the City so charming that we planned to go back sometime and really explore the City. “Sometime” presented itself this year in the form of a trip we wanted to take for my birthday. We looked at many accommodations and selected The Olde Savannah Inn. What a wonderful choice!! This Inn is located in a beautiful residential area that is within a 10 to 15 minute walking distance of wonderful restaurants and sights. The Inn has 4 rooms, all different and all beautifully appointed with antiques and interesting furnishings that the Innkeeper, Kathleen, has collected and carefully placed. We chose the Versailles room, which I think may be the largest suite in the Inn, complete with a jet spa (with changing colors) that was so comforting after a day of walking from one end of town to the other! All the rooms have gas fireplaces, hardwood floors, luxurious bedding and perhaps best of all, a breakfast with food so delicious and innovative it is hard to find the right words. My husband is on a gluten-free diet that Kathleen was not only able to accommodate, but made it so delicious that I elected to have the same thing! Kathleen will give you the low-down on what to do and what to avoid, such as restaurant and tour suggestions (we did what she suggested and found them all superlative). For my birthday, Kathleen made a tray of chocolate covered strawberries accompanied by a bottle of wine. So thoughtful, so lovely, soooo delicious!! And how can any account of The Olde Savannah Inn be complete without mention of Dakota, Kathleen’s beautiful black Lab. Dakota is a kind and gentle soul who is always there to greet you And you will be his best friend forever if you share some of your breakfast bacon with him!!!!

My husband and I stayed in the Versailles Court room for four nights, to celebrate my birthday. Even before arrival Kathleen (the Inn owner) was so gracious and helpful. She set up all of our dinner reservations for us and even setup a taxi to pick us up from the airport. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm hug. She has a way of instantly making you feel like you’re visiting your favorite Aunt. But my favorite Aunt never served the wonderful breakfast that we received each morning of our stay. I’m posting pictures. Our room (Versailles Court) took my breath away. It’s very romantic. She was able to give us a tour of most of the rooms and I’d have been happy to stay in any of them. They were all gorgeous and spotless. Kathleen is a total perfectionist. Down to the perfectly ironed sheets. I HIGHLY recommend a stay here.

Wow, the Olde Savannah Inn: As an African American couple, we have somewhat struggled with the B&B experience, we are usually welcome but not really welcome, anyway where do I start: We fell in love with he Olde Savannah Inn, It was superbly clean and the breakfast will send you to heaven and the ambiance was magnificent. This saying a lot because we are not easily impressed, but we just floored by the whole experience. Our room was the beautiful first floor garden room, you have your own private entry from the garden where you can sit and have coffee or tea, but did I mention clean. Kathleen is the hostess with the mostess . She baked huge to die for chocolatey chip cookie. She is a kindred in spirit and a beautiful soul. She truly made our stay awesome and one of the greatest B&B experience we've had. Kathleen truly has gifted hands and a love to serve her guest from a heart that loves her profession. We are not pet lovers but Dakota was a sweetheart and I can not image having the same feel at the Inn without his presence. Ron & Lori Schererville, IN

Kathleen is a remarkable hostess. The inn reflects all of the charm of the city. It is a historic landmark and has been completely updated yet still reflects old world charm. Very inviting atmosphere, beautifully decorated and totally comfortable! The breakfasts were the best I have had, made from scratch and delicious. Home made cookies throughout the day, as well as wine and teas. I have already made reservations for 3 nights in January.... and cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I spent 3 nights in 3 different rooms this past week. Each room was beautiful with different decor. My favorite was the Provence room downstairs close to the front garden. Breakfast each morning was a yummy treat we loved them all.The quietness of the area was just perfect for the relaxation we were craving. I had a lovely time strolling the streets and taking pictures of all the interestingly unique buildings and gardens. Thank you Kathleen for a wonder stay.

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast. We could not a have chosen a better one in Savannah in our opinion. Kathleen the Innkeeper was a wonderfull hostess and very excellent chef. Our room was perfect and we had a outstanding stay at the inn. This inn is top notch and I would recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again Kathleen. Ron & Dee

The outside of the inn looks just like on the post-card. The reception was warm and cordial. Kathleen accommodated us swiftly and asked if we needed to find a restaurant. She made for us her unforgettable refreshing ice tea and told us about Savannah, the Inn and about local diners while we were absorbing the majestic surrounding of the guest room. Yes rooms, I can't help but rave about how French chic they were. For those who love French decore this inn is an isle in Savannan ocean of bricks (however charming they were). The facilities were up to date. The breakfast was most enjoyable. Kathleen made blueberry pancakes with icecream on top and a fruit salad. You will have an haute-bourgeois stay and will be taken care of by a perfectionist who values your vacation choice. The Olde Savannah Inn is a landmark of hospitality in a most remarkable town.
5 on May 25, 2010
From the moment we arrived, Kathleen greeted us as family. She knew our first names, gave us big hugs, and fed us homemade cookies. The room was as plush as could be, with endless pillows, fluffy towels and marble bathrooms and fixtures. Breakfast in the morning could have been our meals for the day, complete with fruit, meat and homemade crepes. Plus, Kathleen was our tour guide and taxi driver at times! We love it here.

Kathleen made our stay memorable in every way. Our room was beautiful, furnished with all our needs. The other quests added to our perfect weekend. We always meet the most friendly people at B&B's. The breakfasts or should I say "My birthday Breakfasts" were fantastic. This was our first stay in Savannah & it won't be the last. There is no question where we will stay. The Olde Savannah Inn is perfection. Kathleen is wonderful and makes you feel right at home the second you arrive. We especially enjoyed Dakota the black labrador. We have labs, so Dakota just made the weekend more enjoyable. Kathleen, thank you for everything. You certainly have a gift. We are looking forward to our next visit. Having stayed at many b&b's throughout the Northeast, my wife and I were awe struck and incredibly impressed with the Olde Savannah Inn and it's owner and innkeeper Kathleen. The house is gorgeous top to bottom, inside and out. Kathleen has exquisite taste and it shows in her choice of decor and furnishings. Kathleen and her inn are the epitomy of southern charm and hospitality. Once you get there you will never want to leave. From the scrumptous homemade breakfasts every morning, to the homemade cookies and bottled water left in your room, to the top quality linens which are hand ironed by the way. We loved the fireplace in our room and the steam shower. The bed was so comfortable. I slept like a baby. The Olde Savannah Inn is truly a special place.

We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at the Olde Savannah Inn. Our hostess and innkeeper, Kathleen, was so warm and hospitable. The house was elegant and wonderfully restored, yet comfortable as well. The Provence Room was available for our stay. We loved the cozy , almost cottage, feel it provided within the historic district. The fountain in the garden just outside our room was a wonderful touch and example of the detail and thought Kathleen has put into this gem of an inn. The linens were very comfortable and the room immaculate. Each evening we found a sweet treat waiting for us to enjoy from a piece of Coca Cola cake to a chocolate chip cookie. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed items such as fresh fruit, creme brulee french toast, blueberry pancakes with fresh whipped creme, and omelettes with goat cheese, fresh herbs and tomato, all served with a side of bacon and sausage. Kathleen helped us with reservations and offered advice as this was our first trip to Savannah. We would love to return to Savannah and The Olde Savannah Inn.

It is the most memorable wedding anniversaries that my wife and I have ever experienced. The accommodations were great, and Kathleen put together one of the most enjoyable weekends. When I called to make reservations and explained this was a 28th wedding anniversary she immediately began to help with dinning suggestion that turned out wonderfully! Kathleen recommended two wonderful restaurants The Pink House and Elizabeth’s on 37th. After Elizabeth’s we topped off the evening of our last night stay with a late evening carriage tour. Kathleen made the restaurant and carriage tour reservations prior to our arrival enabling us to have our weekend free to enjoy the beauty of Savannah. My wife was swept off her feet with the beauty of the inn, the unforgettable breakfast, and the beautiful décor that Kathleen has place throughout the house. It is still a topic of conversation with our friends and family. I will be challenged to find another Inn that will surpass the experience my wife and I shared at The Olde Savannah Inn.

Kathleen, the innkeeper, goes all out to make your stay comfortable and it's not just the fine linens, comfortable bed and beautiful old townhouse. She recommended restaurants and made the reservations, cooked an early breakfast for us so that we could catch our plane, an took time to tell us what to see. And she's charming and personable.

Inn Keeper very uptight about money. No staff but the Inn Keeper, shortage of guest parking. Too many rules: don't touch that, don't sit there. Very uncomfortable feel, rushed breakfast. Over priced for what you get. I've stayed at 5 diamond full service hotels for less money. Travelers beware!
5 on February 12, 2009

We booked the Renaissance room at The Olde Savannah Inn for 4 nights. We were greeted with a warm hug from Innkeeper, Kathleen. The Olde Savannah Inn has all of Kathleen’s wonderful touches. The Inn is filled with her special touches which include stunning antiques and art, 10 foot mirrors, marble bathrooms, fireplaces and beautiful chandeliers. Amazing! Kathleen prepared a fantastic 4 course breakfast each morning. This delicious breakfast will definitely hold you until dinner. Accenting the breakfast was delicious French press coffee, fruit cup, cheddar grits and a special brown sugar-infused bacon and sausage. Her special vanilla cream topping for waffles and pancakes was better than ice cream. The blueberry pancakes were my favorite. Did I mention you can skip lunch? Kathleen has equipped her beds with firm mattresses and 800 thread count Egyptian linens with down pillows and blankets. This comfortable bed was a great place to collapse after a long day of walking the streets of Savannah. Our bathroom was spacious and beautiful with a nice array of lotions and toiletries. Kathleen has connections to all the restaurants and tours and set us up with a few including a 4 hour cooking class around the corner that was a blast! The Inn is a block away from Forsythe Park which is a great place to run or walk amongst the beautiful trees and water fountain. Kathleen is one of the kindest people we have ever met. In the afternoons she prepared yummy fresh cookies, pound cake and a special cherry bread complimented with her homemade sweet tea or a glass of wine. We have fond memories of Savannah thanks to the generous hospitality of Kathleen and her beautiful Inn. She has created a wonderful sanctuary for visitors to Savannah. She will treat you like family and you will feel like family. It is the nicest B&B we have ever visited!

My husband and I just return from three fabulous nights at the Olde Savannah Inn. We both cannot say enough about this beautiful Inn, the service, our accommodations, the food, and the grounds. However, what made our visit most special was definitely the owner-Kathleen. She spoke to me on numerous occasions before our arrival helping to plan the perfect trip, discussing airport pick up, rooms, tours, dinner reservations, carriage rides and the list is never ending. Upon our arrival, she handed us each a glass of her "special tea" and made us feel right at home. She prides herself on keeping a spotless Inn and it shows. We were in the "Provence" room and loved that we had our own entrance out to the front. The sheets and towels were heavenly, the room clean, and the shower great. During the late afternoon, I especially enjoyed relaxing with a good book on either porch while sipping wine and munching on her special snacks. A turned down bed and a luscious treat met us nightly after we returned from a delicious dinner (thanks to her recommendation.) Each breakfast was to die for- sinfully rich! A few of our favorite items were the caramelized bacon and rum sugar sausage, martini glasses overflowing with fresh fruit, raspberry chocolate Belgium waffles with wonderful whipped cream. We tasted both cheese and shrimp grits, stuffed pears with brie, raspberry sauce, and walnuts, French toast and eggs- this is just a sampling! The best part of our trip was meeting Kathleen and her darling dog Dakota. After a long day around the city, we always wanted to come "home." This is why this Inn is so special. Stop now- book this Inn - you will have a unique stay and meet a wonderful new friend. Barb and Reg

My husband and I love visiting Savannah! This was our second stay at "The Olde Savannah Inn". We absolutely love the atmosphere and katleen's company. I will tell you something she will cater to your every last need! And she makes the best ice tea every! It is not your regular down south sweet tea it has a twist to it! I cant forget to mention my love dakota! He is a black lab and he is so sweet and cuddly! I love to play with him and his Kong! The rooms are amazing! We recently stayed in the what we call the honeyroom suite and it was so lush and elegant! I just felt like a queen for the weekend! Hmmm! The memories make me wish that I was there now! WE MISS YOU KATHLEEN!

The Olde Savannah Inn is undoubtedly the best bed and breakfast in Savannah. Kathleen Dupuis is the owner and along with her black lab, Dakota, do everything they can to make your visit special. The Inn is located in the historic district of town. She personally prepares the most sumptuous breakfasts and created a very special ice tea for us when we arrived. There are always fresh cookies and bottled water in the rooms. There are four rooms in her Inn, each very special. This was our first stay in a B&B and we were very impressed. Kathleen’s personal touch is there in every detail of the Inn and her Inn is spotless. She made reservations for a dinner for us as well as a wonderful tour of the entire Savannah area. We were only in Savannah for a couple of days but we wished we could have spent at least a week with her. If we ever return to Savannah, we’ll stay at the Olde Savannah Inn with Kathleen and Dakota again.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending this Memorial Day weekend with Kathleen and her daughter Kelly, the hosts at the Olde Savannh Inn. Our hosts were marvellous and handled all the details of our stay perfectly which included dinner reservations, tours, carraige ride and cab pickups. And then there is Dakota, Kathleen's black lab who made us feel at home and miss our two dogs less by just being there to pet! The breakfasts were wonderful too, as was the Inn itself, a lovely facility. We took the Renaissance Room with its comfortable King bed and lovely bathroom. It was like staying with relatives rather than with strangers. Thanks ladies!

My husband and I decided to spend our 10th anniversary in Savannah. We chose to stay at the Olde Savannah Inn for 3 nights and it turned out to be the perfect choice! I made the call to Kathleen, the innkeeper who was extremely friendly. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Kathleen and her faithful companion, Dakota, a beautiful lab with the sweetest eyes and personality to match! I was taken aback by the beauty of the inn. As beautiful as the pictures on the website are, seeing it in person was absolutely breathtaking! The furnishings and décor are amazing and you can see the love Kathleen has poured into this home. Everything was immaculate. When we saw our room, the Provence, it surpassed all of our expectations. Every detail was taken care of and the bedding was just gorgeous. I had never slept on ironed sheets before – what a treat! The towels were plush and the robe and slippers were wonderful to put on after a shower. The breakfasts were amazing and definitely 5 star! Each morning there was French pressed coffee and juice. We were treated on different mornings to fresh fruit; baked pears; sausage; bacon cooked with brown sugar; frittatas filled with hash browns, cheese and sour cream; chocolate Belgium waffles; blueberry pancakes made with fresh blueberries; and Kathleen’s wonderful homemade whipped cream. Everything was so scrumptious! During our stay, Kathleen made sure we had everything we needed. She recommended restaurants and made the reservations for us. All were wonderful. She arranged for a moonlight carriage ride after our anniversary dinner. It was so romantic and the perfect ending for the night. One of the things I especially enjoyed during our stay was sitting in the rocking chairs on the veranda reading or just talking with my husband. All in all, it was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had and I felt so pampered by Kathleen! We will definitely be staying at the Olde Savannah Inn again!

The Olde Savannah Inn exceeded our wildest expectations. Kathleen and her charming assistant (Dakota, an adorable black lab) immediately made us feel right at home. Being a smaller inn, it is ideal for couples looking for some peace and quiet in a truly luxurious setting. Last but certainly not least, I cannot say enough about the absolutely AMAZING breakfasts provided by Kathleen and her staff. We ate in some of Savannah's finest restaurants throughout our stay, and they all paled in comparison to the wonderful meal that started our day! We simply cannot wait to return.

The Olde Savannah Inn is absolutely gorgeous and unbelievably immaculate. Kathleen has an impeccable eye for detail which is evident in every aspect of her inn. The linens are so luxurious that I had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning! The spa robes were so nice to slip into after a hot bath and the room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable(Bellevue Room). Breakfast at the inn is also unbelievable! We had an amazing apple frittata, apple wood smoked bacon, grits, French pressed coffee...I could go on. You will want for nothing at the inn. Kathleen is so accommodating, generous, and gracious. Our stay was amazing! My mother in law and I went to Savannah for a girl's weekend and we felt so at home at the inn. It is in a great location and close to local shopping. We also enjoyed wine in the courtyard under a big palm tree...amazing and so relaxing! Kathleen did everything possible to make our stay wonderful and it truly was. We definitely were spoiled at the Olde Savannah Inn!

Our stay here was the most wonderful experience! My husband and I came to Savannah to celebrate my birthday, and Kathleen (the inn owner) truly went out of her way to make it a wonderul celebration. Kathleen has an extraordinary way of creating a very personal and luxurious experience for her guests, while making them feel completely at home in her beautiful inn. Everything was perfect, from the gourmet breakfasts to the wonderful bedding and linens. She greeted us every morning with a smile and a delicious breakfast (shrimp and cheddar grits, apple/bacon/cheddar frittata, baked pear with raspberry glaze, fresh fruit, and plenty of her famous homemade whipped cream...just to name a few). Every evening, she welcomed us back from a day in town with a glass of wine and as many delicious cookies as we could eat. She even made a special dessert for me in honor of my birthday, and it was unbelievably wonderful (panna cotta, an Italian custard with a tri-berry glaze and her homemade whipped cream)! As perfect as The Olde Savannah Inn is, the true reason to stay there is Kathleen herself! My husband and I miss her (and Dakota, her sweet lab) and the inn already, and we can't wait to stay there again!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with open arms. Kathleen and Dakota were waiting for us on her steps as the cab Kathleen had arranged was dropping us off. Although check in was at 3 pm, we were invited to check in three hours early to begin our first adventure in Savannah. My wife has wanted to visit her entire life, so I was very thorough in my decision for our place to spend the next three days. I could not have been happier. We were treated to great breakfasts in the morning, and wonderful desserts at night. In between, we met some great couples from across the country and will be exchanging photos with them. That was a great way to cap off the trip. If you are looking to be treated in a special way, this inn will provide this and so much more.

Okay guys I understand your plight. You have been searching for a very special place. One that will make her hug you tight around the neck and love you for being so thoughtful. If The Olde Savannah Inn is within your price range Book it RIGHT NOW. Then get to bed and know she WILL be impressed. If it's a little above your price range BOOK IT ANYWAY. You'll only take her to Savannah for the first time once. THIS is what she's expecting. (If your honey is reading this then SHE should book it right now...don't wait for your husband to approve...this is how he wants to spoil you, some of us just need a little help sometimes). I was distraught about this time last year looking for hours for the absolute knock-your-socks off kinda place to take my wife for our twentieth anniversary. But...I did not find the Olde Savannah Inn in time. No...I thought I was going to impress my bride a few doors down. The other place was okay. But, walking past the clean bright entrance to the Olde Savannah Inn we thought we'd pop-in for a quick hello and maybe sneak a tour. Little did we know Kathleen, the Inn owner, would greet us as if we were staying. She offered us dessert, wine and friendly conversation. It was late and felt we may be over staying our welcome, but as we were leaving, she invited us over for breakfast. In the late morning everyone had checked out so we got to check-out all the rooms. WOW! Read the other reviews for details...just WOW!! Kathleen was so down to earth, but don't confuse that with her not making everything in her Inn High-End and Perfect. GUYS please, you know we will search for hours to make sure it's the right place. I've done that already. THIS IS the RIGHT PLACE. If she doesn't LOVE IT she's not breathing. Oh yeah guys, you're wondering about location. Its great...stop stalling. Book It Right Now. Why is it so great?...Kathleen. And funny enough, there's only one of her in Savannah.

My husband and I decided to return to Savannah to escape from holiday chaos. We selected Olde Savannah Inn because we prefer smaller inns and this one had excellent reviews. From the moment we entered the inn, we knew why! We were greeted with an open-armed innkeeper, Kathleen, and beautiful Christmas music being played on the piano by Diana. The exquisite inn is made very personal with Kathleen's touch evident throughout. Breakfasts were extraordinary as were the special decadent desserts that Kathleen prepared into the night. We highly recommend that you treat yourself to a luxurious getaway at the Olde Savannah Inn where you will be spoiled!

Kathleen made us feel so welcome with her warm, friendly hospitality treating us like good old friends who have come to enjoy her elaborate breakfasts in her elegant dining room, which she served with close personal attention. A most memorable two-night visit.

My husband and I stayed at The Olde Savannah in for our honeymoon, and what an amazing experience it was! From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly and treated like old friends! The innkeeper, Kathleen has got to be the best cook in town, as our breakfasts were to die for! Her beloved lab, Dakota helped to make made our stay warm and pleasant, greeting us each morning with a tail wag! The inn itself is the most beautiful we have seen! Kathleen has obviously poured her heart and soul into this very luxurious home! I would call the Olde Savannah in the jewel or savannah, demonstrating all the best that Savannah has to offer. With Kathleen's warmth and true hospitality I believe we have found our second home at the Olde Savannah Inn... we can't wait to go back!

The Olde Savannah Inn is beautifully restored and very comfortable. Kathleen and her staff were wonderful and the food was excellent. We loved her black lab, Dakota, too. We would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our 42nd honeymoon. The interior of the building and exterior grounds were clean and impressive; the furnishings were tasteful and comfortable. The Inn combines the nostalgia of old Savannah with up-dated creature comforts such as Bose radio systems, LCD televisions and walk–in showers with plenty room for two. Kathleen was a very gracious hostess, with a genuine desire to make our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. She made dinner reservations, arranged for transportation to the restaurant, booked a tour and served outstanding breakfasts. During our stay, Kathleen hosted a wine reception with warm and cool goodies, including meatballs and chicken legs, and live entertainment provided by the very talented Diana Rogers.

Our close friends referred us to Kathleen and Olde Savannah – and they were right. The Inn and Kathleen’s hospitality exceeded our expectations. We stayed for four nights in the Provence Room. It was charming with wonderful amenities including fine linens, walk-in limestone tiled shower, and fresh flowers. We were welcomed with champagne and every evening spoiled with a special dessert in our room. Kathleen is a master gourmet. Her breakfasts are simply phenomenal and include a new entrée every morning. You won’t walk away hungry after being served fresh fruits, pastries, omelets, waffles, pecan pancakes smothered in sautéed strawberries and bananas, and honey glazed bacon and sausage. Her hospitality exceeds no bounds. She handled making transportation and Trolley reservations for us—the Trolley company even sent someone to pick us up and take us downtown. On our wedding anniversary she hosted a wine and cheese event for just four of the Inn guests with Miss Diana playing on the grand piano in the front room. It was one of the highlights of our visit. My husband and I would highly recommend the Inn. We feel we made a new friend and plan to visit again.

Kathleen Dupuis and The Olde Savannah Inn are perfection! My husband and I stayed in The Provence room for 4 glorious nights, (9/27-9/30)! We love the Provence room it is so charming, has a great private entrance from a beautiful garden, and without a doubt has the most INCREDIBLE shower! I am not kidding about the shower, it is amazing. The other guests, my husband and I all showed each other our rooms, (all the rooms are fantastic), and everyone was so impressed with our gorgeous limestone shower!!! We met the most wonderful people while we stayed at the Inn! Everyone was so nice, and we all had the most fun while we enjoyed Kathleen's delicious breakfasts! Oh my, Kathleen's breakfasts I don't even know how to begin to explain the delicious breakfasts we had, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, blueberry pancakes, sausage, Kathleen's special brown sugar bacon, and homemade fresh whipped cream, YUM and so much more, I could write another paragraph on her delicious southwest style eggs and potatoes breakfast!!! We all agreed Kathleen is to breakfast what Paula Deen is to Fried Chicken! In saving the best for last there is Kathleen herself, from the moment I talked to her on the phone I knew her Inn was the place for us. We have never seen someone who cares so much about all the guests that come to the Inn. She approaches everything with such passion and she is truly her happiest when she is providing an exceptional experience for her guests! She is a wonderful person in so many ways and her Inn is filled with happiness and joy! We will always stay with Kathleen at the Olde Savannah Inn every time we visit Savannah! After we left Savannah we went on to Charleston, SC and even though we stayed at a lovely B&B there was no comparing it to Kathleen's Inn. It was lovely but we had been so spoiled by the charm of The Olde Savannah Inn and Kathleen! Many Many Thanks Kathleen for a wonderful, delightful and perfect stay! Best wishes to you always, Leah and Ron

My husband recently surprised me with a 3 day 2 night stay at this wonderful inn. The website does not do justice to the beautiful, welcoming and elegant invironment in the inn. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a welcoming hug from Kathleen Dupuis, the owner, who is one of the sweetest and loveliest people I have ever met. She made us feel as though we were visiting family and certainly not a total stranger. I felt like I had known her all my life. I really did not want to leave when the time came. The room was emaculately clean, cozy and comfortable and Kathleen did everything imaginable to make our stay at her inn memorable. She was very detailed with everything she did and was most generous. The breakfasts of fresh fruit, muffins, blueberry pancakes, belgian waffles, fresh whipped cream and the very best French pressed coffee was A++++. We also met some of the other guests that were staying there and had a fun time getting to know them as well. We were like one big happy family. And while there, my husband also treated me with a massage in the spa from Ki. This massage was also the best I have ever had! Ki rates an A++++ too. Kathleen will have a place in our hearts forever and we will definately stay in the Olde Savannah Inn with her again! Louanne and Gary Gilley

We traveled to Savannah to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday and absolutely had the most wonderful time. The food was outstanding (if you miss Kathleen's blueberry pancakes with fresh whipped cream and french press coffee, you will regret it!), the rooms were gorgeous and beautifully appointed. We felt like we had truly found the best kept secret in Savannah. The Olde Savannah Inn is where we will stay any time we travel to Savannah.

We chose Olde Savannah Inn for a special place to spend our anniversary. From the time of our arrival in the parking courtyard where we were greeted with a hug by Innkeeper Kathleen until our departure where we were sent off with ample soft drinks for our return trip home we were pampered luxuriously as most welcome guests. When we entered the inn we were given our choice of drinks including Kathleen's own special delicious fruit tea. The inn is fabulously decorated with beautiful furnishings including gorgeous chandeliers in most rooms, even in our bathroom. The dining room has private tables set with tablecloths, china, crystal and fresh flowers. Everything is meticulously clean. We stayed in the Renaissance room which has a gorgeous bed with very tall carved posts and an elaborate headboard, lovely bedding with 800 count sheets, two large floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings with gold crown molding, a private bath with another large window, a clawfoot tub, pedestal sink, furniture for storing bath items, an upholstered chair, bathrobes and slippers. In the bedroom my husband was also pleased to find a flatscreen TV, cookies and petit fours. Our room and bath were luxurious, bright, cheerful and welcoming. They overlook the attractive East Gaston Street where we later began our wonderful strolls through the historic district. I definitely recommend the Renaissance room. During our two day visit the gourmet breakfasts included muffins, scones, very fresh pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, grapes and bananas served in a crystal glass, eggs with two kinds of cheeses, Kathleen's signature brown sugar bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, peach cobbler and the best blueberry pancakes you will ever eat. We also had orange juice and our own pot of coffee made when we arrived at the table. Fabulous in every way!

We have stayed with Kathleen twice this year - second time with our daughters, 10 and 14 years old. Everyone has had a wonderful time and we will only stay here when we visit Savannah.

The Olde Savannah Inn is a very beautiful, extremely well decorated Bed & Breakfast. Located on a quiet, well lit, tree-line street faced with a quaint wrought-iron fence that encases several beautiful mini-flower gardens around a water fountain. When we arrived, we were directed to an off-street, gated and fenced courtyard-parking area behind the Inn. The warm greeting from Innkeeper Kathleen Dupuis, the first sip of the much welcomed ice tea punch received, and the dazzling chandeliers that illuminate each room, hall, and stairway can easily carry one away. The awe-inspiring, matched framed, artworks by Thomas Kinkade along with equally-matched framed pieces by local artists, the decorative floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and the plush pillows that grace each bed immediately alert guest that a quality stay is in store. . As we were getting acquainted with our new surroundings, our host was constantly presenting delicious snacks and tasty goodies. The dining area, along with the settings, was immaculate as was the sitting pallor. We were truly made to feel like family. The beds were quite comfortable and the high-quality linens refreshing. Each room had its individual entertainment center and the baths were very well stocked with every conceivable amenity. . Breakfast presentation was beautiful, the food was delicious and the servings endless. The Innkeeper, Ms Kathleen, really extended herself to please each guest. During our stay, we were treated to a wine, cheese, & desert social, complete with music by local artesian, Ms Diana. The Olde Savannah Inn is definitely on out re-visit list for future vacation travel to Savannah, GA. Morris & Gloria Hardin

Come experience true elegance, encompassed with gracious southern hospitality at the Olde Savannah Inn. Kathleen welcomed us with southern hospitality second to none and a residence that would make a King envious. Her attention to every detail is noted in the exquisite furnishings, artwork, and amenities that abound here. No stay in Savannah would be complete without visiting Kathleen. Thanks for a wonderful experience and those homemade, blueberry pancakes!! P.S. Make sure to book your appointment at the Spa here as well. A truly relaxing experience!! Thanks, Shane & Wendy

We had a wonderful time spending our 21st anniversary in Savannah and at The Olde Savannah Inn. Kathleen has impeccable taste and has pored her heart and soul into restoring this inn and in meeting the needs of her guests. She is a very gracious host. We loved the location, the intimacy of the inn and the cocierge service that was given to us. The breakfasts were wonderful and also enjoyed the spa service. Kathleen and her inn are a treasure to Savannah.

My husband and I just spent five of the most wonderful days at The Olde Savannah Inn. The innkeeper, Kathleen, is the epitome of southern charm and southern hospitality. Her welcome is a hug and a smile and it just gets better from there. She treats you as though you were a member of her family and that her home is your home. The house is exquisitely decorated and beautifully appointed. Kathleen has seen to every detail. Her guests want for nothing except maybe expandable waistbands on their pants. Why? Becaue the breakfast that Kathleen prepares every morning is amazing. Gourmet dining at its best. I know that my next trip to Savannah will include a visit to Kathleen and The Olde Savannah Inn - a true southern treasure!

From the moment you walk up the steps and through the door you are greeted with kindness and enthusiasm. My husband and I visited with Kathleen and her magnificent inn for our anniversary and stayed in the Versailles room. The jacuzzi is to die for! Trust me, this is not your average jacuzzi. It is huge and even lighted with lights that change color! Just imagine yourself sitting in this jacuzzi, the fireplace going, listing to the BOSE system, candles lit, a glass of wine and the divine cheesecake drizzled with chocolate and whole strawberries waiting for you. That is just what you'll get if you stay here. Dave is convinced we have to have one in our bath! The room was exquisite! The bed was so comfortable we did not want to get up. We liked the fact that the gas fireplace had a timer. The flat screen was a nice touch. We loved every inch of the place! Kathleen has poured her heart and soul into this inn and it shows. It is beautifully decorated with large chandeliers in all rooms, including the bathroom. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The food was magnificent! From the cheese, crackers and wine we were served before leaving for dinner, the cheesecake upon our return, to the wonderful candle lit breakfast and coffee served in the French Press. The hospitality from Kathleen and her staff is unparalleled! If you want to make your stay in Savannah memorable, this is the place to be!

Erin Go Braugh Savannah for St. Patrick’s Day is one of those things you can only experience first hand. The town hosts 400,000 plus Irish, Irish in heart or costumed tourists and is gracious about having them all there. This St. Patrick’s Day was our first visit to Savannah and we had a great time. Kathleen Dupuis, a true Irish gal, welcomed us when we arrived and treated us like family for the weekend. There were three other couples staying at the inn this weekend and we all mixed and acted as if we had known each other for years in part due to Kathleen’s hospitality. The Inn was beautiful and appointed in such a way that relaxation was a forgone conclusion. I can’t say enough about our hostess Kathleen. From the over the top blue berry pancakes to a special St. Patrick’s Day feast of Corned beef and Cabbage the food was outstanding as was the presentation. Ok except for my candle. When you stay there you can ask Kathleen to fill you in about Mark and his candle. Kathleen suggested and made dinner reservations for us that were wonderful meals. This was a fun filled supercharged weekend and the Olde Savannah Inn made it a weekend we will always remember and share with our friends. I travel 30 plus weeks a year for work and I have never felt as pampered or appreciated as Kathleen and the Olde Savannah Inn experience made me feel.

We had an amazing anniversary in the Versailles room! Kathaleen was the most welcoming individual and an elegant hostess. We really felt relaxed, rested, and pampered. Blueberry pancakes were to die for as well as the French Onion soup!! We will definitely make a repeat trip!!

The Olde Savannah Inn is by far the best b&b I've ever visited. My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend, and by the end we wanted to move in. Kathleen became like a family member for us in a matter of days. ALSO! She offers a luxurious, elegant lodging that is DOG FRIENDLY! This is impossible to find. If your dog is well-behaved, they fit right into this beautiful b&b. She even made extra breakfast to spoil our baby. Very very nice. The wine socials and community-focused atmosphere make this like a second home. We were even allowed to raid her fridge. I only wish we could rate this hotel higher.

Dear Kathleen, It was John and my first trip to Savannah and the Old Savannah Inn. We loved both of them! Both are sumptuously lovely, elegant, and genteel. You’re warmth and friendliness was the icing on the cake. (And certainly the great breakfast was too!) I really appreciated the five star hotel qualities of the room and bath as well as how immaculate everything was. Five star hotels will never compare to the charm and beauty The Old Savannah Inn has and your attention to fine detail. We couldn’t have picked a better introduction for ourselves. I hope we’ll be back soon. John and Carol Meares

On a recent visit to Savannah we stumbled across this exquisite B&B and met the lovely Innkeeper, Kathleen. She was worth the trip to Savannah! We asked if we could see her Inn and she not only invited us in but offered refreshments and upon finding out it was my husband's birthday invited us to have cake with her and her guests.

Kathleen, the innkeeper, made us feel like welcomed guests in her own home. Lots of attention to detail, excellent food, over-the-top service. Even has a spa on-site for a massage, facial, etc. We stayed in the Versailles Court room, which was SO luxurious. No expense has been spared. Location is excellent. Can't say enough good about this inn and innkeeper.
