Located in the heart of the historical district the Spanish Moss Inn opened in 2008, and is a newly furnished and renovated inn. We provide complimentary parking spaces: two on the property, and two more on our neighborhood block. Alongside the inn, there are four free side street parking spaces and metered parking at the front of Inn. (Please call for details concerning the parking options.) Enjoy any one of the five elegant rooms which have a king sized bed and a private bathroom per room. Four of these unique rooms have wood burning fireplaces. During the morning, sunlight warms up the living room, dining room, and the sun room while you enjoy your morning tea. The sunlight reveals Federal Era architectural details such as the dentil crown molding, heart of pine wood floors, and paired fireplaces. You will see Emmet Park, and glimpses of Savannah River from our inn. Walk across the street and down a few steps to Savannah River Street where you can dine or sight see. Our location provides the ease and comfort that you desire while on holiday in this historic downtown area. Make Savannah your getaway destination by treating yourself to a stay at the Spanish Moss Inn! Currently we are between chefs and cannot provide breakfast, we have reduced our rates to compensate for this. b. Mathews Eatery our neighbor at the end of our block is offering our guest a 10% discount for breakfast, see their website for the menu and reviews. Every morning, there will be coffee and tea available at our inn.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. The place was very clean, the coffee in the morning was great. Only had 2 gripes. First was the parking, which can be a mess if the 2 covered spots are taken. Our email said the adjacent dry cleaners offers 2 spots to spanish Moss guests. We stopped there and walked in to confirm. They said they don't offer that anymore. We ended up having to pay to park to get back to our room on 1 occasion. The other issue is probably just a dormer room issue. This room is basically an attic, so the walls are not insulated and we can hear the outside very easily. I didn't realize that Bay Street is a main artery used by semi's driving from the factories on the east side of the city to the main Highway. I'm a pretty light sleeper so I was woken up quite a few times by the passing trucks. Again this is probably just a dormer room issue.

We loved staying at Spanish Moss Inn! The rooms were beautiful and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were so soft that I researched them and ordered a set for myself! Sam made everything so perfect and effortless. They had snacks and wine waiting for us upon our arrival as well as every afternoon, and coffee waiting in the morning. We stayed three nights and every night was as great as the next. The location couldn't have been more perfect. Walking distance to everything. We parked our car in the garage and didn't move it again until we headed home. There are lovely common areas including the living room, courtyard and sun room. We spent time hanging out in each without any disruption even though other people were staying there. The only negative I could think of is the sound issues, but they aren't so bad that I wouldn't stay again. Just know that the walls/floors are somewhat thin and there is street noise that comes in. (But that's just part of being in an old house.) If you need a perfectly quiet place, this may not be the best place, but if you can handle a little ambient noise, it's so worth it! (They also had a fan in the room that we used to drown out the sounds which was super helpful) Overall, I would recommend this place and would stay again!

We have only stayed at a bed and breakfast one time and our experience was mundane. We were pleasantly surprised at The Spanish Moss! It was not overly frilly like many B&B's, the rooms had such character, wonderfully decorated and very very clean. Perfectly located as well! Sam was such a pleasant helpful host, communicated wonderfully and made us feel quite welcome! We will definitely return when we come back to Savannah! ..The Rainers

The Ferreira's are wonderful hosts. We arrived at the Spanish Moss Inn late in the afternoon without any reservations, yet Sam welcomed and invited us in, and showed us around as if we were family. We are so glad that there was an open room because after seeing the house we wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. The house is beautifully restored and maintained, tastefully decorated, and inviting. We were able to relax and unwind while drinking specialty tea as we sat in the sunroom overlooking the patio with the serene sound of the water fountains. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast arrangement worked perfect and was very delicious. It is also worth noting that there is enclosed secure parking inside the property.

I have been going to bed and breakfasts since I was a kid. The Spanish Moss Inn was by far an amazing place to stay. The owner Sam, was very pleasant and wonderful to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a bunch of recomendations. Walking into the Inn you feel like you live there with how welcoming it is. The main rooms are decorated very tastefully and you wouldn't be able to find an ounce of dust. They served different wine every night and coffee in the mornings. The only little bummer, but easily dealt with, was that they don't serve breakfast there but they did have arrangements for a discount at a restaurant just under a block away. The food was really good and made the savannah experience more special. Okay now onto the room. We stayed in the mariners room which to find out is technically the basement of the home. Not to worry though it honestly felt like our own personal suite because it was so private yet homey. The bed was bery comfortable and very clean in the room and bathroom. If we decide to come back to savannah, which i am sure we will, we will definitely want to stay at the spanish moss inn. It was a perfect charming and wonderul experience that will last with us forever.

We frequent the Spanish Moss Inn for both business and pleasure. We have stayed in the Gold Room and Mariners rooms and have not has a bad experience on our trips. The owners are very considerate and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is fabulous! Beds are very comfortable. Never a speck of dust and bathrooms extremely clean. Common areas are quiet and we have used them for small business meetings. The furnishings are beautiful and designer. You will not be disappointed with their breakfast arrangements...the food is gourmet and you can choose from a variety of dishes. Complimentary Hours devours and wine in the early evenings is the perfect way to wind down! Always a pleasure to return to the Inn!

After staying two nights in the Dormer Room (located on the top floor) we were more than ecstatic with our stay at the home. The cleanliness of the home was impeccable. The linens in the bathroom and bedroom were of very high quality. The owners were very hospitable with the cheese, fruit, coffee, wine, tea, and breakfast arrangements. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place! We plan to come back and stay again soon!

My husband and I stayed here in April 2012 for two nights and had the best time ever. What a wonderful cozy environment and the owners Elena & Sam are the best. Not to mention the housekeeper Rosario who was extremely helpful and kind. The place is exceptionally clean and very comfortable. They offer a wonderful wine/cheese hour everyday that is superb. The stay in the Dormer room is very nice and comfortable and you have the floor to yourself. We will be back and hopefully we will be bringing guests next time that are interested in visiting Savannah. You can't go wrong with this bed and breakfast!
