    Needs attention to detail

    April 04, 2012

We received a wonderful welcome from the owner and very good meals (a lunch and breakfast) at the Inn. Our room lacked cleanliness: there was considerable dust under the bed and hair from previous guests on the bathroom rug. Our room had no cups or soap so we got cups from the dining area and soap from an adjoining room. Attention to detail could make this B&B much more inviting.

    Loaded with charm

    April 17, 2011

We stayed for two days during the Masters Tournament. Harlem is a wonderful, quiet location, maybe 15-20 miles from Augusta. It's the birthplace of Oliver Hardy, and a museum in his honor is about a three-minute walk from Red Oak Manor. Don't expect lots of Victorian frills or overdone preciousness. Do expect a lovely, comfortable room and the kind of relaxed hospitality that almost makes you feel like an old friend as soon as you arrive. We dealt mostly with LeAnne and her mother Merle, and they could not have been more helpful or charming. They went far out of their way to make our stay as good as it could be. Included is a great home-cooked Southern breakfast. Enthusiastically recommended for the feel of sincere small-town friendliness.

The Red Oak Manor is too cute to describe. A beautiful retreat that is a little off the beaten path but easy to get to. Very fun and had excellent service and good food. Definitely want to go again!

Beautiful Home and Wonderful Service and Food

    March 09, 2010

This is an exceptional B&B. They have thought of every detail. They are flexible with arrival times and dining arrangements. The pictures do not do this house justice. You cannot appreciate the grand scale of the home and the beauty. I have stayed at a lot of B&B's and this one is up there with the best of them. My only suggestion would be to pave the parking areas.
