    Perched on a hilltop with spectacular views of Villeneuve, Avignon and the Alpilles, the loudest sounds here are the singing of the birds and the humming of the cicadas. Yet we are just minutes from downtown Avignon, with it's busy shopping areas and exciting night life! La Douna has a large private swimming pool with a pool house and spacious patio, about half an acre of landscaped gardens, and a Jacuzzi for seven. There is a French pétanque playing area and a ping-pong table. The rooms include a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom overlooking Avignon, as well as a family suite, which has a bedroom, a private bath and a sitting room which may be used as an extra bedroom. There are two more bedrooms, one with a view of Avignon, which may compose a suite with a shared bathroom across the hall. La Douna can easily accommodate groups of three to ten people.

      From the Avignon city walls: Go around the walls until you reach the Pont Daladier. Cross the bridge in the direction of Villeneuve les Avignon. On the other side of the bridge, turn right towards Villeneuve les Avignon. Go past the old town center on your left. Just past the village, turn left, towards Les hauts de Villeneuve and Pujaut. At the first fork, stay right. Go up the boulevard Gambetta, all the way to the top. At the Carrefour Market roundabout, take the left exit, direction Haut de Villeneuve. Turn left at the first trafic light. Take the first road on your left. At about 300 meters you will come to a small roundabout. Our green gate is just past the roundabout, at number 38/42.
