Centrally located in the beautiful Loire Valley in Touraine, this 17th and 18th century home has been restored to accent classic French charm with many modern amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Nestled in the heart of charming Tauxigny, Le Clos des Sources provides easy access to major towns, villages, castles and wine regions. You can take your time taking in the sites - not sitting behind a steering wheel all day. The name Le Clos des Sources stems from the three springs, or “sources,” that run throughout the property and feed our featured lower-courtyard angel fountain. We welcome you to relax by the sounds of the fountain, have a drink in our gardens, or enjoy a dip in the upper-garden pool. Savor local wines from our two wine cellars. Explore the historic castles and regional landscapes. The best of France is waiting for you. Welcome home.

Counting the days till our return!

    July 15, 2011

My family, a friend and I enjoyed two restful nights at Clos Des Sources. The property is so warm and welcoming, very clean, and surely an environment that welcomes tired travelers. (after three days in busy Paris, we were ready for the serenity offered here ) Our rooms were spacious, clean and adorable. Our hosts have taken time on every detail - from tea in the rooms to many clean towels, literature, many hangers, a hair dryer, and even soft toilet paper! (the comorts of home on holiday! ) Laura prepared two excellent meals for us, highlighting local culinary treasures. There were dietary restrictions with a few in our party, with advance notice our hosts were very accommodating. Thank you! All in all, an EXCELLENT experience! Highly reccomend, can't wait to go back. When we return to Canada we'll be watching flights- a week here would make an excellent retreat. Can't wait to go back. Also, the area is beautiful! Sunflowers, chateau's, little quaint towns... Perfect for a stroll or a bike ride!

    Charming B&B

    October 21, 2010

We had a wonderful time at a charming B&B in the heart of the Loire Valley. The hostess is a gourmet cook---the food and wine were great. Our room (and the others) are decorated very nicely and all are immaculate. There is so much to do there and the hostess made sure we were aware of all of our options. We will be back!

    Weekend in Paradise

    July 26, 2010

Spent our anniversary at the B&B; it was the perfect setting! The host prepared a delightful, romantic dinner for us to share in the garden. Later we swam in the pool which was rimmed with candles, especially for our celebration. Such a special time made even more so by the hosts.

    Joséphine

"Ambiance élégante" Located on the second floor, this suite features a separate entrance and a great view of the upper garden and lower courtyard. The room’s design started from the beautiful scalloped toile de Jouy bedspread I found in a small boutique in Tours. It inspired me to mix daring shades of red, white and blue. The pine chest is the first antique I bought in France. The bergère is the latest. The room is fit for an Empress, and we hope you will feel like royalty during your stay. Bed size: King

    Augustine

"Ambiance bucolique" Complete with its own entrance, this ground floor room has a courtyard view. Decorated in blues and greens, Augustine evokes the late-summer colors of our garden. The art deco headboard and mirrored armoire have aged gracefully with a beautiful off-white patina. Toile de Jouy curtains, flowered patchwork boutis and beautiful lower-courtyard view provide a personal sanctuary steps from the garden. Bed size: Queen

    Mathurine

"Ambiance romantique" Located on the second floor of the main house, Mathurine is named after an ancestor who left the Perche region of France to populate Quebec in the 17th century. Romance abounds in this room which features a canopy bed, fireplace, stone wall and Robert Doisneau photographs. The redone patina of the bonnetière acts as an attractive focal point among the room’s red, black and gray colors. Bed size: Queen

    Victorine

"Ambiance cosy" Located on the ground floor with an independent entrance, the Victorine room features all the charm of France. Had we had a second daughter, we would have named her Victorine. And since Le Clos des Sources is part of our family, it only seemed natural to give this room her name. Charming, and tucked secretly next to the wine cave and old stone stairs, this room features toile de Jouy linens, an antique bonnetière and stone bathroom tiles for a cozy, warm feel. Perfect vacation

    June 24, 2010

We spent a week at the B&B last year and are going again in Sept.. The home itself is very old and beautiful. The owners have created very beautiful and comfortable rooms. The host is a gourmet cook and provides very special touches to everything involved in staying there. The Loire Valley is an amzing place to visit-we love the castles and little villages.
