We had a night at Chateau Bavolier en route from the Dordogne to La Rochelle. Our room was amazing and the chateau itself and surroundings just magical. Our host made us feel incredibly welcome and was lovely with the children. Our youngest had a high tea and we had a delicious meal in the dining room. The breakfast was the most generous and tasty compared to anything else during our two week stay in France. We would 100% recommend anyone to stay here.

We had the most amazing stay here. This Chateau is right out of a movie set! The owner Ann has restored it to perfection. She made our stay fantastic with her local knowledge of what to do and see (and make sure you ask her for suggestions on evening meals as they were some of the best meals we had in France)! She is an exceptional lady that has created what once was a mere vision into an unbelievable reality that people like you and I can actually stay in (the antiques, furniture, and paintings etc. she has restored are absolutely amazing!), she is quite modest about it all and makes each and every person feel right at home. As you sit and look around one can not even begin to imagine all the years of hard work that she has put into it, but how lucky we were to sit and enjoy the fruit of her labour. We will be back, as there is so much to do and see we barely scratched the surface. We also look forward to seeing what project she and her daughter will be taking on next!

A charming chateau in quiet surroundings with an innkeeper who makes her guests feel welcome and special. We soon felt more like friends of the family than hotel guests. The roomes are equipped with a stereo and a selection of cd's - you fall asleep listening to music, and wake up listening to the birds singing in the garden. We had planned to stay two nights, but fortunately we were able to prolong our stay. The chateau is close to many interesting sights, and just a short trip away from St.Emilion.
Stunning Master/Bridal Suite. 75 sq. meters of sheer style. If you are looking for a romantic break then this is certainly the place to be.

We love to meet new people and to be able to share some of the magic that our beautiful property has to offer everyone. We work very hard to maintain high standards and enjoy the tranquility of this part of SW France.
