We stayed at la Colline de Pechauriol for 3 nights in May 2014. It was a terrific base for exploring Sarlat, visiting Les Eyzies to see the prehistoric cave paintings at Font de Gaume, and canoeing down the Dordogne, past the castles at Castelnaud and Beynac. The first two nights, we stayed at the self-catering gîte; on the 3rd night, we had to move into one of the B&B rooms, due to a prior booking. Jenny made the transition seamless for us. Both accommodations were spotlessly clean. The decor was very calm, in a classic French country style. Both Jenny and Dave were unintrusive and respected our privacy, but they were available to answer our questions and were happy to share their recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. Unfortunately, we never did follow up on Dave's recommendation about where to dine in Sarlat. We were so happy & exhausted following our canoe trip that we decided to have a picnic in the garden instead. It was a peaceful way to wrap up a perfect day. The next morning there was coffee & tea and a great selection of delicious bread and croissants from the local bakery, as well as cereals, and yogurts available in the breakfast room. We were well-fortified for our visit to the Saturday Sarlat market. Jenny gave us excellent directions regarding the layout of the market. The Saturday market in Sarlat is not to be missed! We didn't have any issues at all with the wifi when we were there, but Dave was busy doing some upgrades as we were getting ready to go. Although Jenny keeps him well in hand, I did manage to get a few slobbery good bye kisses from their adorable French bulldog, Samson, which I much appreciated since I was missing my own dear doggie. Even though we were headed off to beautiful Provence, we wished we could have stayed longer at the lovely La Colline de Pechauriol. We would definitely stay there again.

An absolutely delightful Stay at Dave & Jenny's! Superb and highly recommend to anyone visiting this area to book into La Colline De Pechauriol. We were made very welcome by Dave & Jenny who are both very knowledgeable of the beautiful sites and restaurants in the local area and did everything possible to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are very well appointed and impeccably clean bright and airy. Breakfasts again top marks, a plentiful supply of delicious coffee supplied with fresh warm croissants. La Colline De Pechauriol is a gem. I will be staying again next year without a doubt.
