The perfect gift for every occasion

  • Relax and enjoy our 18th century French farmhouse and 2 acres of gardens. We offer all the comforts of home and we are ideally situated for exploring the region with Futuroscope and Puy du Fou within an hours drive, to name but a few. Exciting theme parks, gardens, museums, Château's and churches all close by.

We have opened the doors of our traditional French farmhouse to offer totally relaxing breaks and stopovers. It was built in 1700 and retains most of the original features. It stands in 2 acres of grounds consisting of two paddocks, an orchard and gardens in a large courtyard. We have an above ground pool in the walled garden, surrounded by all types of fruit trees and grape vines. We have a family room that sleeps up to 6. It consists of 2 rooms, one leading off from the other. The 1st room has a double bed, seating area, bedside tables, dressing table, wardrobe and t.v. There are also tea and coffee making facilities. This leads onto what we call the kids room. There are two single beds with room for either two more singles or one single and a cot. There is a separate bathroom that consists of bath, shower over bath, toilet and sink. We also have a double room that can sleep up to 3. There is a double bed, bedside table, drawers and a wardrobe. There is room for a single bed or cot if needed. There is also a connected bathroom, with bath, shower over bath, toilet and sink. Again there are tea and coffee making facilities. We have tried to be sympathetic with the décor, keeping it clean and neutral. we also want you to be as comfortable as possible so you have crisp white cotton bedding and quilts. Ideally situated in western France. There are two airports within 1 hours drive, two train stations, one 10 minutes away and one 20 minutes away. Paris is easily accessible by train if you wanted to venture a little further afield. We have numerous Theme parks, gardens, museums, château's all within easy reach. The two nearest towns are Thouars and Bressuire which both have many events going on throughout the year. They are bustling towns with quaint shops in small interesting streets. There are restaurants, bars and cinema's for all tastes. Locally you will find plenty to do. Fishing, hiking, horse riding, go-karting, paint-balling, canoeing, to name but a few.

A wonderful farm with a wondeful housekeeper

    November 15, 2012

Debbie was a great host, she helped us a lot in the phone with direction and made us a great dinner for when we arrived late in the evening. we felt like home. She has very friendly dogs that makes you feel there's a herd of sheep outside (although there isn't. but there are a lot of other animals- including a tall pony :) The rooms are very big and the breakfast was really good (the best home made jams and fresh baguettes we ate in all our 7 days staying in France) Enjoy, Yair K
