In the heart of the Limousin, between lakes and woods, a shaded alley leads to the entrance court of the Chateau de Vauguenige. Huge beautiful Lebanon cedar trees surround it and make a natural nest to it's classical 19th century front.
Come end enjoy swimming, bathing in the sun on the deck chairs outside the pool or relaxing in the spa. In the evening ask for a sauna before diner. The large indoor pool is heated from April till September and available to our guests all day long until 9 p.m., so is the spa. In addition the sauna is available on demand every evening.

Welcome to the Chateau de Vauguenige! In the heart of the Limousin, Marick and Alain and are happy to welcome you as a friend in their family home. We offer 3 reception rooms on the ground floor and 5 guest rooms on the 1st floor, all with en-suite bathrooms, accommodating 1 to 4 people. After your arrival, the indoor heated swimming pool (15m X 8m) and spa welcomes you for swimming or relaxation from April until October. Sauna on demand. When sunny open the sliding glass windows and enjoy sunbathing on the deckchairs. Enjoy Marick’s diner, a harmonious combination of health foods and gourmet cooking. Special meals for children.

Marick, a former philosophy student, is a yoga teacher, interested in reading, writing and gardening. She manages altogether savoury cooking and health foods. Alain, a sport and swimming teacher, is a enthusiastic balloon pilot addicted to this activity and will share his interest with you whether you wish to fly or not.

After about 10 km the driveway for Vauguenige is indicated on the right by signposts. From the south: A20. Exit no. 25. Follow the signposts for Lac de Saint Pardoux, then Saint Pardoux itself. In the village right turn towards Bessines sur Gartempe D44. Then : 1st on the left after Saint Pardoux : D103, then on the left again : D 27.
