Surrounded by around 250 acres of corn fields, Domaine Thierhurst B&B is a veritable oasis of peace and quiet. Your hosts are both farmers and vine-growers and look after this beautiful building with care and good humor. Set in the middle of the Alsatian plain, one side of the house looks towards the hills of the Black Forest in Germany and the other towards the Vosges, in France. It's a stone's throw from the River Rhine and the motorways that run along it between France and Germany. The house was built recently in traditional local style with a pretty roof of old-fashioned tiles. It is surrounded by a carefully-tended garden with some exotic plants, a beautiful swimming pool and a brand new outdoor hot tub. On the first floor is a guest bedroom with a double bed and a huge ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi and Italian-style shower. On the ground floor is a guest suite with a bedroom and a lounge with a double sofa-bed, making it ideal for families. The generous breakfasts include fresh produce and home-made jams and cakes, and are served in the dining room or on the terrace in the warmer months.
