Mas du Petit Grava is located in the heart of Provence near the Roman cities of Arles and Saint Remy where Van Gogh created many of his most famous paintings. This 18th Century country home is surrounded by the gardens and orchard that provide most of the fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers used within it. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and furnished with antiques from the area. There is a swimming pool and gym along with bikes and walking trails for exercise. For quiet times, the Mas has an extensive music and reading library. Breakfast is complementary. Mas du Petit Grava is an ideal place to spend a few restful days or to use as a base from which to visit Southern France's quiet villages, busy cities and incomparable beaches.

In September, my husband and I spent 10 days at Mas du Petit Gravas. From the moment we arrived we felt like being friends with Jim and Ike, the owners, for years. Their hospitality can not be beat. Their B&B is an 18th century farm house very comfortable, tastefully decorated, furnished accordingly to the era and sitting on beautiful grounds. The house has four rooms, each with own bathroom. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms have their unforgettable charm. On the ground floor is a fantastic library. If you want to spend a quiet day at the Mas, grab a book and enjoy reading it by a pool or in the orchard. Every morning we were served a delicious breakfast. Ike makes his own jams. Jim and Ike joined their guests for breakfast. They shared their knowledge of the area what made our traveling easy. They suggested restaurants and made reservation for us. Jim is awhiz of all things Van Gogh. One day, he drove with us to Arles to show us all Van Gogh's places. It was a highlight of our visit to Provence. We treaded the Mas as a base to visit surrounding villages and places of interest to us. The location of this B&B is very convenient for day-trips. Wish we could stay longer. Thank you, Jim and Ike.

I don't have enough room to go on and on about what a great experience we had at the Mas. The property is so beautiful and relaxing out in the country, but in a great central location for touring the Provencial villages. Ike is one of the sweetest people you'll ever want to meet! (Jim was away, so we didn't get to meet him). The quality of the breakfast was the best I've had. All I can say is I want to come back and I only just got home. Thanks Ike! Nina from New Orleans
