    La Brasserie has been sympathetically refurbished. It is a 19th century house with lovely high ceilings, authentic original marble fireplaces, large windows and furnishings to suit the period and large proportions. The B&B has 4 spacious, airy, bedrooms, all with their own good sized en suites and one with an adjoining room. An organic, locally produced, continental breakfast is included in the room rate. We believe quality and service are very important. The Gite is a spacious flat of 105 m², which can easily accommodate it's maximum of 5 people. It has 2 bedrooms, a large bright shower room, a family room with L shaped fully equipped kitchen & central heating throughout. Tables and chairs are in the garden, so that you can sit and relax when you like. For the Chambres D’Hôtes & Apartment the main entrance of the house is used, whereas we have a separate entrance for our own accommodation.

    Innkeepers Description:

    I live with my husband, John, at la Brasserie. I run the chambres d'hotes and gite and John renovates and repairs our properties. I used to manage restaurants and pubs in England and various other jobs dealing with people. I have enjoyed meeting new people and not knowing what the next day will bring. I love gardening, walking in the countryside around us and we are both passionate about good quality food, so where better to be.

      Fly to Poitiers [40 minutes drive] and Limoges [1hour and 10 minutes] with RyanAir. It is easy to book a hire car before and collect from the airport. Or you could go by Eurotunnel the ferries Brittany Ferries, LD Lines, P&O, and Sea France. Then there is always the train Eurostar, then Paris to Poitiers on the high speed train [TGV] “SNCF”and then the local train to Montmorillon. From Montmorillon, take the road to Saulgé [D5], past the train station, go under the bridge and La Brasserie is the 1st road on the left [there is a Chambres D’Hôtes sign]. Our house is opposite the mill, facing the river.
