Mas al Chibille is a modern villa with 5 bedrooms for our guests. Its countryside location, overlooking the village of Montauriol, is quiet and peaceful - ideal to chill out, to visit, to keep the kids happy with pool, trampoline, jacuzzi... Admire the 9000ft (3000m) Canigou and Pyrenean foothills and the sea, from the house, pool and garden. Summer is for being outside - bed/deckchairs, hammocks etc are available. All children and babies' needs are catered for (the pool, of course, but also cot, high chair, car seat for the smallest; TV/DVD/internet; games..). Our BandB has 3 double bedrooms for adults, open onto the garden and pool, have television and wi-fi connection and aircon. Breakfast (served on the terrace) covers a variety to suit different guest preferences (fruit juice, home made bread, jam, preserves, croissants, pain au chocolat, tea, coffee). Table d'hôte (evening meal of fish or meat - and local wine and aperitifs) can also be reserved - and there is a BBQ area for guests' use. The pool is to amuse the children, but also for adults to try before breakfast, or to relax in, after a day out and about. Amenities close by include: mountain biking, trekking, horse-riding, scuba diving, water and wildlife parks - our brochures describe them all and we can help you plan your adventures. Wine tasting tours are popular. Our region's past goes back millennia. The Cathares' last stand was here, so lots of 'history' - museums, art galleries, churches, castles.... Visit Spain (Gerona, Barcelona); Carcassonne, a unique medieval town; the Pyrenees; sandy beaches and rocky coves - all within easy reach of our Mas. Martine is French; Martin is British - so no communication problems!

    Don't hesitate, just book!

    Do not hesitate and book this B&B. We were here only 1 night, passing through, but were very happy with the location and the service. We very much enjoyed our stay. Martine and Martin are very friendly (so is the cat), the kids used the pool and jaccuzzi, and we had a lovely dinner at George's place

    A relaxing stay in the French countryside

    My wife and I stayed two nights here and had a wonderful visit. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Martin and Martine are gracious hosts and were both very helpful in making the most of our short time there. They researched wine tasting tours in the area, helped us make dinner reservations at a fantastic local restaurant, and had delicious breakfast in the morning complete with homemade preserves. The Mas itself was in an ideal location; it is close to wineries (what my wife and I were really interested in!) and only a short ride to the beautiful Mediterranean city of Collioure. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone wanting to get the most out of their stay in southern France.

    Paella 'Martine'
    Made with a wide range of mainly Mediterranean fish and lots of shellfish (mussels, langoutines, clams, cockles etc), paella also has other ingredients - special rice of course, plus chicken, rabbit, spices - depending on the preference of our guests. For sure, despite the work involved, the accolades received by Martine are well worth her efforts!!
