Lovingly restored and run by your English hosts, Robert and Harriet, La Ferme de Boyer combines the ultimate in French lifestyle with traditional English country house comfort. The farmhouse, built in 1790, is typical of the country houses here in the beautiful rolling landscape of the Ariège in the Midi-Pyrénées. There is a a delightful Swimming Pool (8m x 4m) set in our large garden with plenty of shade, and woodland walks with stunning views of the Pyrénées. It is situated 3 Kms west of Mirepoix, a lovely relaxed southern medieval town, which comes to life on market days and has a choice of shops, including an excellent supermarket and several cafés and restaurants. The arcaded main market square, surrounded by timbered 13th century houses, also has country antiques and pottery shops. The fortified Cité of Carcassonne is 50 Kms away and Toulouse is 80 Kms from here. The beaches of the Mediterranean are a 90-minute drive and the Pyrenean ski resorts are an hour away. The duty-free shops of Andorra are also within a 90-minute drive.
Lovely room furnished with antique English furniture, kingsize bed with high-quality linens and bedding, en-suite bathroom, countryside and distant village view
Pretty room with twin beds with antique bedspreads, en-suite bathroom, views across the garden to the Pyrenees in the distance

We don't often stay in B&Bs....we tend to rent houses or stay in local hotels. But when we drove by the Ferme de Boyer and saw the beautiful tree-lined driveway and the stunning structure we decided to try it out. We were overwhelmed by the courtesy of the delightful owners and our immaculate room. We decided to try the table d'hote and thought it was one of the best meals we had during our month-long stay in France. We ended up staying a whole week and using the fabulous location as a pivot for our sightseeing in this amazing area. We were so sad to leave and look forward to returning next year. Don't hesitate.....book this place. You will not be disappointed.
