A warm welcome awaits you from English owners, Andy and Jackie. Located in the Auvergne, La Platriere is close to the borders of the Cher and the Nievre, thereby enabling you to visit 3 different regions of France. La Platriere is a charming property, offering 5 guest bedrooms in the main house (sleeping a maximun of 15 people) and a self-catering cottage. Whilst here you can relax by the pool, play a game of petanque or go for a pleasant walk. Evening meals can be reserved with advance notice, or you can dine at one of the many restaurants found locally. All bedrooms are centrally heated (not that you need this in the summer heat) and have private en-suites with shower, vanity unit, washbasin and toilet. Each room offers stunning views of the garden and the countryside beyond, and you'll also find a hospitality tray.

Andy loves fishing and in his spare time you can often see him down by one of the local lakes catching carp. Jackie loves helping people and as a psychotherapist and life coach she has produced numerous cds, and mp3 downloads in self-growth subjects. She also loves writing and written several books. We both love our two dogs, border collies and enjoy spending time with them.

2 1/2 hours drive from Orly airport, taking the A6 and then the A77 until just past Magny-Cours you take the exit to St Pierre le Moutier. Lurcy-Levis is signposted from here and is about 15 minutes away. At Lurcy follow the direction to Valigny (10 kms) on the D64 and exit Lurcy for about 4 kms, after which you come to a small hamlet, La Platriere. We are signposted the 2nd small crossroads on the left.
