    Maison Porte del Marty is an elegant Maison de Maitre / Manor House built on the village walls of Lalinde with all rooms directly overlooking our beautiful Dordogne River. Lalinde is on the main road and train route between Bordeaux-Bergerac-Sarlat-Perigueux, close to the ancient caves and rock drawings of the Vézère Valley, we share the beauty of literally 100's of beautiful Chateaux built from the rich buttery stone of the region. The gourmand delights of the Perigord, including confit de canard, magret de canard, truffle, cepe, walnuts, foie gras complimented by Monbazillac - luscious late harvest semillon or our fabulous local table wines - Bergerac Rouge - a traditional Bordeaux blend, Bergerac Sec, a blend of semillon and sauvignon. With one of the highest hours of sunshine in France, the Dordogne region is a beautiful region of lush green forests, deeply carved by rivers fed from the Massif Central, rich in alluvial soil, our local farmers crop their land with a medley of strawberries, nodding sunflowers, maize, wheat, tobacco, walnuts, chestnuts, hazelnuts along with rich green paddocks. Whether you enjoy driving, training, walking, hiking, cycling, canoeing, swimming, balloning...Maison Porte del Marty is an ideal place to spend a few days to enjoy this beautiful and historic part of France.

      On the main route between Bergerac and Sarlat, also serviced by train from Bordeaux, Libourne, Sarlat, Perigueux and Agen. Approx 2 hours easy drive from Bordeaux and 3 hours from Toulouse. We are in the village of Lalinde 24150, directly opposite the beautiful Gothic Church of St Pierre and on the corner of the Lalinde Bridge, Maison Porte del Marty borders the Dordogne River. If you are driving from the North ( say Paris ) you would generally get off the autoroute at Perigueux or Mussidan, both are convenient.

    • Directions to property:
      An easy drive from Bergerac Airport in the direction of Sarlat, allow 20 to 25 minutes. We are in the village of Lalinde, directly opposite the gothic church of St Pierre and on the corner of the bridge crossing the Dordogne River. Don't be fooled by St Capraise de Lalinde which is a village before us ! If you arrive via Bordeaux, take the route to Bergerac, when driving through Bergerac follow the signs to Sarlat, many of the around-a-bouts also have Lalinde signage, if you come via Toulouse, take the road to Agen then Beaumont then Lalinde... happy and safe driving !
