"Signature dish" sounds a bit pretentious - this however is something we have from time to time and particularly like to eat : A selection of local seafood, bought direct that morning from the local boats / producers. Making a regular appearance (although not all at once!): Tourteau (Crab), Araignée (Spider Crab), Bulots (Whelks), Bigorneaux (Winkles), Coquilles Saint-Jacques (Scallops), Petoncles (Queen scallops), Huîtres (Oysters), Crevettes (Prawns), Crevettes gris (Brown Shrimps), Coques (Cockles), Palourdes (Clams), Couteaux (Razor Clams), Encornet (Squid), Seiche (Cuttlefish), Langoustines, Moules (Mussels).
For 2014, by popular demand, we are running cookery lessons here on a day to day basis alongside the b&b. We have a simple format - you can accompany us to one of the terrific traditional local markets where we can select and purchase our produce, more often than not direct from local farmers, cheese-makers, and fishermen. After a light lunch in a local restaurant we return to base to cook up the evening four course meal which might include anything from a light seafood soup, to a robust meat "daube", depending on what you fancy/would like to learn about, and what is available. The daily price for the cookery lesson, restaurant lunch (drinks excluded), dinner and drinks is 105 euros per head, excluding accommodation. We have a minimum attendance of two people, maximum of four. Children and teenagers most welcome. More details can be found on our website.
