Inn Details
La Vieille Ferme is an 18th Century farmhouse in the centre of the village of Fresné-la-Mère within 5 acres of land and gardens. Just 4km from the historic town of Falaise (the birth place of William the Conquerer) within the Calvados region of Basse Normandy. We have two family rooms ensuite, 2 double rooms en-suite and one twin room en-suite. We also offer Table D'hotes (evening meals) and there is a guest lounge conservatory and the gardens to enjoy.

We can provide evening meals as long as these are booked at least 24 hours in advance. Peter is a trained chef so the meal tends to be a mixture of local influences and modern cuisine. Children have the option of a children's two course tea (main coourse and dessert) at 6pm or half price price half portion of the main 5 course evening meal. The main evening meal is a 5 course gourmet meal with drinks served around one large table. It is a set menu starting at 8pm. We can offer a vegetarian or vegan option or cater for any allergies. There is also the option of a Repas Froid which is a cold meal which can be eaten in one of our outside areas and is available to collect between 5pm and 10pm

Lat:48.893530716143104 Long:-0.12042045593261719 The directions from Google maps will get you to the village just about but you will still need to find the property. Coming from Falaise you will drive down the D63 (the road towards Trun). You will pass a crossroads with turnings to Villy-Lez-Falaise on your left and La Hougette on your right but you continue straight ahead. After passing these crossroads you need to take the next left hand turn a small country road that is signposted La Pommeraie. As you go down this lane you will have some newly built houses to your right. Continue down the lane until you reach the end. You will have the village church on your left and you turn right going across the railway track with the recycling zone is on your right after crossing the track. You reach almost immediately a T Junction and you will need to turn left. About 50m after turning left you will need to turn right into our driveway. There is our sign La Vieille Ferme on the wall. Drive to the end and turn left through the large iron gates. If the gates are closed ring the bell and we will open them for you.

Thankyou for the comments just a quick note to advise there is a lever to change the shower to the bath tap, you don't need to run the shower to fill the bath. We will however make sure we add this as a note to the room booklet to make it clearer to future guests
