    We stayed another night!

    November 28, 2011

We arrived late and after dark on a Sunday evening. Most restaurants were closed and Mike offered to cook us supper. Oh my, what a meal we sat down to. The appetizer was caramelized onions with goat cheese. Was it ever good! The steak that was served was done to perfection. What a great way to end the day after an "afternoon drive to Paris." This place set the tone for a perfect romantic time in Paris. Super comfy bed. The next day the setting was made and we got engaged between our two nights at La Sucrerie. A forever memory. Thanks Mike

Awesome accommodations for a family of 5!

    March 22, 2011

It is not always easy to travel with a family of five, and affordability is always a challenge. But, we found both space and economy at La Sucrerie. Firstly because the rates at La Sucrerie are very affordable for clean, spacious, and comfortable accommodations, but also because Mike gave us great tips on transportation, parking, and sight destinations. We had a car (a car makes things easier when you are not in a metropolitan area) - one day we drove into Paris, the other day, we made a quick jot to Versailles, and one a third day, we parked the car in a nearby town and took the train into Paris. We got to see so much in such a short time. Mike also did very well with our inquisitive and energetic children - he was very kind. He made the stay great for us all! It was also great for us (parents), because when we laid the children down, we were able to relax in the living room.Space for grown ups is not something you find in hotels except at premium prices. It was the perfect weekend get-away for our brood, and since we have a dear friend in the area, we hope to go back again! La Sucrerie is in a quiet location. It is clean, spacious, and the host is very gracious and helpful. I easily recommend La Sucrerie to anyone... with or without children.

    Fantastic weekend in Paris

    March 01, 2011

La Sucrerie was an ideal weekend getaway during my recent trip to Paris. The home is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, and the surrounding countryside is peaceful and idyllic. I had a private bedroom and bathroom, both of which were clean and cozy, and I adored the design and decoration of the entire house. The B&B is about a 20-30 minute drive from the heart of Paris, so I got to experience the best of both worlds very easily. I have no complaints about my time at the B&B and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable stay. I can't wait to go back for another visit!

    Cozy and modern: perfect getaway!

    February 23, 2011

After spending the night there, you will want to stay there for much longer. The house is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are neat, cozy, contemporary - I wish my place was designed like this! and what makes it even better is being woken up by the delicious smell of breakfast made by the owner in the morning: what an amazing experience! And when the sun shines in the dining veranda in the morning, you know that you will have an awesome day :)

    Charming and sweet

    February 23, 2011

Perfect for a weekend getaway. The room was cozy and comfortable. The house was tucked away in a quiet and relaxing area outside of Paris, perfect for a visit to Versaille. The service was pleasant and non-intrusive. It was a romantic place but would also be great for kids.

    Fantastic BnB

    February 22, 2011

I was a guest at the BnB this past summer and was extremely happy with my stay. The house is gorgeous with an interesting history and the room clean. The owner was really accommodating and helpful by giving us suggestions on where to go within Paris and locally - he even drove us to the train station a couple of times. My boyfriend and I were really happy and would suggest it to anyone looking for a cute quiet place to stay for a few days while visiting this part of France.

Great place near paris and versailles

    February 08, 2011

I really enjoyed this perfect quiet getaway a few minutes away from Paris center. Been able to relax in such a nice house after a long and busy day in the noise and pollution of the capital is a treat. I recommend this place to anybody willing to enjoy the peace and calm of an old house decorated with style and taste.
