    For 400 years the chateau was in the one family of winemakers. Now it is the warm and inviting home of Murray and Jan, your well travelled hosts. Tastefully furnished bedrooms are full of light with high quality linen on very comfortable king-sized beds. You can relax in the secluded leafy garden or beside the pool or perhaps sink into a deep sofa in the guest lounge and take advantage of of the extensive library to catch up on your reading. The village has a good restaurant within close walking distance of the chateau. You are in the heart of the Gaillac wine region with the delightful town of Albi and the spectacular hilltop village of Cordes Sur Ceil both nearby.

    Beautiful Chateau, Welcoming Hosts

    We spent a wonderful two days during summer in this light filled and beautifully appointed chateau. The rooms were large and charmingly furnished and everything spotless. The outlook over the very pretty gardens and swimming pool was delightful, quiet and relaxing. Our hosts Jan and Murray were warm and welcoming and happy to inform us about this beautiful part of France. Would love to stay again..

    Newport room

    The Newport room is located on the second floor with the steeple of the village church providing a very attractive backdrop to the pool and garden. On this floor there is also a twin bedroom which can be made available to guests in the Newport room who may require additional accommodation. Telephone and Internet access is available to guests in the guest lounge.

      Cestayrols is in the Centre of the golden triangle formed by the UNESCO Heritage listed town of Albi, the market town of Gaillac and the hilltop village of Cordes sur Ceil. The Chateau is located behind white gates at the end of a drive immediately adjacent to the white war memorial in the centre of the village.Cestayrols can be reached from the D30 from Cordes sur Ceil, or the D1 from Albi or the D3 from Gaillac. It is 50 minutes by car from Toulouse, 15 minutes from Albi and 19 minutes from Cordes sur ceil.

    Airport

    • From the airport follow the blue signs for autoroute (A68)to Albi. Continue on the autoroute and take exit 9 towards Gaillac (D968). Continue on this road through two roundabouts and take the exit to the right at the third roundabout D18, direction Cordes. Continue for approximately 7 kms through two rounndabouts. 200 metre past the second roundabout, turn left onto the D3 ,direction Cestayrols. Continue for 8 kms to Cestayrols.
