Chateau Bavolier

  • Inn Details

Chateau Bavolier is an 18th century Louis XVI chateau with a peaceful setting at the edge of a village on 5 acres of land. Ideal for a romantic break - four poster beds and chandeliers. Children warmly welcomed. You will be treated to twinkling chandeliers, antique beds with soft pillows, luxury bathrooms and natural light flooding through tall windows. Glorious old house with stylish decor and a warm family welcome. We are delighted to have been selected for inclusion in 'Alistair Sawday's Special Places to Stay'. We only rent two rooms, making it perfect for those wanting calm and seclusion. Convenient for Bordeaux and as a stop off for those driving to South France or Spain. The antidote to stress.

A charming chateau in quiet surroundings with an innkeeper who makes her guests feel welcome and special. We soon felt more like friends of the family than hotel guests. The roomes are equipped with a stereo and a selection of cd's - you fall asleep listening to music, and wake up listening to the birds singing in the garden. We had planned to stay two nights, but fortunately we were able to prolong our stay. The chateau is close to many interesting sights, and just a short trip away from St.Emilion.
