Chambre d'hôte au coeur du vieux Bordeaux

My husband and I stayed in this lovely bed and breakfast in April 2012 for several nights while using Bordeaux as a hub for our adventures to Sarlat, Dordogne river, and Archacon. Roseline was not on premise during our stay; however, Francois and his 2 daughters Angela and Mattie made us feel right at home. Very hospitable and delightful people. Francois met us at the train station. My computer was not working and they allowed me to check my e-mails on their personal computer, which was very accomodating and helpful to me. our room had a separate entrance - great asset, but what we enjoyed the most were the 2 bicycles that we had access to. Bordeaux is a wonderful biking city - along the river especially. I cannot say enough about the location. Hard to find at first - it is tucked away in the center of the old medieval city. a wonderful place to stay!

First of all: the location of this bed and breakfast is fantastic. It is (as the name states) situated in the centre of old Bordeaux, at the end of a tiny street, on a private square. You can park your car there and leave it for the rest of your stay, because you really won't need it. You can do everything on foot! Secondly, you won't be dissapointed by your hostess. Roseline is a lovely woman who fell in love with Bordeaux. She won't hesitate to show you around the city and recommend restaurants and shops. She serves breakfast at whatever time you prefer and uses almost exclusively local products. Last but not least you will be staying in a very comfortable room, and since you're on a private square, there is no noise at night. Roseline put together a file with city maps, tourist guides, restaurants, .... so you don't even need to go to the tourist office. A wonderfull stay, a lovely hostess, and a reasonable price. Highly recommended!
