le bobo is a large stone residence with original rampart walls, wide hallways, high ceilings, and original tiles giving the feeling of being in a ‘petit chateau’. We are based in the beautiful village of Bize Minervois with its crystal clear river dammed for swimming, back-dropped by the enchanting forested Pech. The village is equipped with restaurants, bars, shops, walking and cycling trails, horse riding, goat farm and world famous olive factory. Situated on the Aude/Herault border, surrounded by stunning landscapes and vineyards, near the Canal du Midi, and yet close to several major cities, and beaches.

5 out of 5Fantastic French B&B
April 25, 2013
I visited in April with my husband as a birthday treat. Our room excelled my expectations. It was beautiful and grand with a free-standing bath, I felt like royalty! I definitely wasn't expecting this level of first class luxury for such an affordable price. The house itself had plenty of character! Daniel and Sam were lovely and made us feel so welcome. They recommended places to visit. There's a stunning river only a 2min walk away, with the freshest, cleanest water - perfect to bathe in! The beach at Narbonne was 30mins away. There were a few cosy, family run restaurants nearby. One of the restaurants presented me with a lovely birthday cake and all the locals joined in to sing me happy birthday. Just shows how welcoming the locals are. I was so sad to leave but will definitely be visiting again in the summer!

This was a fascinating house in a charming village. Our room was stylish and comfortable and the hosts, Samantha and Danny were wecoming and helpful. The local restaurant served superb food, and there were plenty of other good places to eat in the surrounding area. We had some really enjoyable walks directly from the village and along the Canal du Midi which is a short drive away. We particularly enjoyed walking round the medieval walled city of Carcassone where there's plenty to see. A lovely relaxing time in a great location.

This is such a delightful place to stay so atmospheric with imposing rooms that take you back in time, to a feeling of tranquillity away from the hustle bustle of life. The welcome from Samantha and Daniel is so warm and their breakfasts is to die for. We did a little sightseeing around the area to Carcassonne a fantastic medieval city, and Collioure a little further towards the Spanish border . We had some fabulous meals at Café Du Midi, and mostly just stayed near by and relaxed. Denise

Stayed here and fell in love with France again. Le Bobo was an adorable chic place beautifully decorated which makes a change to the normal standard places you tend to find. The village was gorgeous and had everything we needed. It was lovely being able to stroll to some of the local restaurants and can I recommend l 'Apalousa, La Grange and Cafe du Midi. La Sallet was a our favourite this is a little further we drove but you could walk it. Had some magical walks from the house along the river, saw red squirrels and countless birds of prey. Went horse riding on one of the days, again lovely unspoilt scenery and visited in the local wine cave and olive factory. Narbonne and Beziers were great cities to explore and I'm glad we finally got see the Canal du Midi.

4.4 out of 5Brilliant location, great village and lovely accommodation
January 13, 2013
Where to start? The whole village is beautiful, olde worlde, made from stone in a very French way, everything is easy to find and within 3 mins of the house/villa/mansion? (What to call la bobo, I'm not sure!!). I imagine it is as a house for royalty would be before the revolution! Anyway the village is peaceful and pristine with two good restaurants and a bar (for lazy afternoon drinking! There is not a lot to do in the village, by why would you need to do anything but relax and enjoy the scenery. The house is amazing, not only is it impressive on the outside, Danny an Sam have done a brilliant job of making it modern, stylish and unique . The rooms are spacious and well designed with all mod cons, the communal areas well looked after with amazing original (1800's I imagine) tiles on the floor and really high ceilings. But I think the best bit is the kitchen with arga and open fire which would be brilliant in the winter. The best bit though is how welcome you feel, Danny and Sam can't do enough for you. We will definitely going back ASAP!!

Just back from a fabulous 6 day stay in Bize at Le bobo, very atmospheric, relaxing time, walking in the countryside, eating at some great restaurants and reading in what can only be described as a room with a view. Visted Montpellier and Narbonne and was made to feel so welcomed by Samnatha and Danny Thanks for making our stay so relaxing - see you in the summer, looking forward to swimming in the river. Liz
5 out of 5Excellent location for a B & B, and lovely people
January 11, 2013
This place was beyond my expectations-stylish, very spacious, ideal location if you like classic French villages and lovely walks on your doorstep. Very pleasant hosts who were very welcoming. Easy access to lovely towns and cities like Montpelier and Carcasonne, both "must see places". I will be going again soon.
