A beautiful and sympathetically restored charentaise farmhouse, ideally situated in a tranquil and rural setting, yet only a few minutes from Pons (a medieval city) and A10 autoroute (j36). Bedrooms (with private bath/shower, wc) are charming and individually decorated, with very comfortable beds and quality bed linens. You will feel welcome from the moment you arrive and every care is taken to make your stay enjoyable. You could visit Cognac, Saintes or Bordeaux, or perhaps just take a stroll from the front door to really appreciate this lovely area. Take time out in the delightful garden of birds, trees and flowers or drive to the coast, just 25 mintues away. The price includes breakast, with home made confitures, and the delicious evening meal (bookable in advance) offers fantastic value at 18 euros pp for 4 courses, wine and aperitif. From the A10 auto route (junc 36) follow signs for Pons/ Jonzac (D 732). Continue until you reach roundabout with signpost right (D142) to Jonzac. After 3 kilometres you will pass Avy on right and shortly after a turning on the left signposted Biron (D144). Take this road and continue for 2 kilometres taking the first turning on the left (small signpost Rejolles/ Rue de la Brande). Almost immediately take the first turning on the right Rue de la Croix and Maison Maurice is along this road on the left, signpost will direct you to parking at the rear of the property and enter by the green door.
