Aux Quatre Saisons is an award winning bed and breakfast situated in the beautiful small town of Axat in the Aude department of Languedoc Roussillon in the South of France. Excellent evening meals are a speciality. Paul and Val are excellent cooks and we have an excellent reputation for service and food. Our Bed and Breakfast is only about 50 minutes from Carcassonne. From the old city of Carcassonne follow signs for Limoux. Continue through Limoux and then through the town of Quillan. It's a straight road. Just outside the small town of Axat you arrive at a roundabout with a tourist office. Follow the sign for Axat and continue for just under a mile beside the river. Enter the village of Axat and continue on the same road past the restaurant, bar and bakery. After about half a mile you will see us on the right hand side. We have private off road parking.

Directions to property:
Leave the airport and at the major roundabout turn left (take the last exit of off the roundabout), following directions for Foix. It is a straight road all the way passing through several villages. After about 45 minutes you arrive at the Axat roundabout with the tourist office. Follow the sign for Axat and continue for just under a mile beside the river. Enter the village of Axat and continue on the same road past the restaurant, bar and bakery. After about half a mile you will see us on the right hand side. We have private off road parking.

Fillet steak with sauce bernaise
After a selection of hors-d'oeurves and a glass (or three!) of sparkling Blanquette de Limoux (the world's first sparkling wine pre-dating Champagne by over 125 years) we start with very large king prawns cooked in garlic and chilli butter. The main course is a generous hand cut fillet steak cooked to your liking and served with Paul's famous potato dauphinois, green beans wrapped in bacon and home made sauce bernaise. To round off the meal after a chocolate dessert we serve an excellent selection of local cheeses. Port with the cheese and a different local wine with each of the other courses. Finally coffee, chocolates and a choice of cognac, whisky, etc.Additional food services
