Le Frelut

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, although for one night only. Julie and Steve were very welcoming and very friendly, with suggestions for places to go for dinner. Very comfortable room and surroundings are gorgeous. After a refreshing swim in the pool, Steve took us on a horse and cart ride in the late afternoon which was sensational. The little villageof Autry-Issards is close by and is so pretty. Thanks again for making our stay very special.

We fell in love in Julie and Steve's house when we spotted it on the internet. When we arrived and saw their "kingdom" it was even better than a dream coming true. There was a coffee machine and hot water waiting for us so we could have nice cups of tea after all day journey from Spain. Julie and Steve told us about the area and their horses. We liked very much the arrangements of the house and the green areas around. After a really relaxing night and a delicious breakfast two more days of travel that we had ahead didn't seem so hard.

We visited Le Frelut twice during the month of July 2011. During our first visit we spent the night on our way from Belgium towards the south of France. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, Julie welcomed us and showed us the beautiful and nicely decorated rooms. Five minutes later, our two children were swimming in the pool. Next day, we had breakfast very early (6.30 hrs), which was no problem for Julie at all. On our return from the south of France, we spent 2 nights at Le Frelut. Upon arrival, we experienced the hospitatity of Julie again. She installed a coffee machine, so we could make ourselves a nice cup of coffee. The next day, we paid a visit to the little town called Bourbon. We visited the ruins of an old castle and the local bath-house (Thermen). In the late afternoon we made a cart-ride with Steve, who showed us the wonderfull nature in the neighbourhood. The children just loved it. Le Frelut is a B & B situated in a wonderfull environment and is particularly suited for young children. They just love to get in contact with the animals (horses, guinea-pigs, cats). It is very quiet and the rooms are decorated in a very authentic way. We consider spending our next year's hollidays at le Frelut.

We contacted Julie the night before we planned to come and she had a vacancy at the gite, to our delight. She was very responsive and helpful in all respects with a warm greeting at our arrival. The lodgings were comfortable, clean and ample. We felt like we were the only ones there, even though she was full-up with all her other bookings that evening. The great thing was that our children had plenty of space around the gite, and a pool to play around. The bonus was that there were three magnificent horses which the children could get close to, as well as the friendly cats. The children were delighted with these. The second nice surprise was that the village itself was of great character. As we were not at all familiar with the region, it came as a nice discovery. All in all, we had the great stay. The weather was warm, but the hospitality was warmer.

What a beautiful setting, an idyllic place to get away from it all, superb hospitality and we all had a great time! Cart ride was a highlight for Helena and Harrison!

We spent five nights at Le Frelut February/March 2011. this was with our extended family.Julie and Steve were very welcoming and could not do enough for us during our stay. The accomodation was great value and the comfort, standard of the rooms, cleanliness etc. was excellent. The breakfasts were superb with local bread croissants and free range eggs.(as much as you could eat) It is in a really beautiful quiet setting with lovely walks nearby and we all had a very relaxed and rejuvinating short break. We would certainly recommend Le Frelut for a break at any time of the year to enjoy the outstanding hospitality of Julie and Steve.
