Inn Details

With Carcassonne airport just 30 minutes away and Toulouse International about 90 minutes, La Galaube in the Montagne Noire is a nature lovers retreat that's easy to get to. There's plenty to do in the Montagne Noire with trout fishing in a grade A river just meters from the house and stunning walks in every direction. The countryside is full of Cathar castles and ruins and we can make you a picnic to take on your adventures. We have a Sat-Nav we can lend you so you never get lost finding your way to the more obscure beauty spots or more importantly - back home.
The Medieval Walled City of Carcassonne is about half an hour away and makes for a wonderful day out. Or you can borrow a deck chair and head up to the lake to sunbathe or fish.
There are horse treks that operate through the forest (subject to availability) and we are more than happy to arrange this for you. There is usually a market on somewhere, whatever the day, and we can find one for you to visit during your stay.
