Villa "Val des Roses"
Antibes is ever so elegant, the Grande Dame of the old Riviera. And staking a winning position 100m from Salis beach, this is its best small hotel: simple and stylish, with shade and sea-views. Stroll down the lane, dip into azure waters, and then hop home for a lavish breakfast at the foot of two towering palms. This - like everything - is lovingly prepared by Frederik and Filip, the friendly Flemish brothers who bought the Art Deco house a few years ago. It's walled lushly with laurels, palms, gum trees and wandering roses, so you can bask in privacy by the pool at the back or on the big terrace out front.
Marble floors, painted walls and curtains all come in white, filling the house with light. Breezy bedrooms are split between the main house and the garden house. Lovely touches: fluffy bathrobes, free mini-bar, laptops with free internet connection in each room a wicker basket with beach towels and parasols.

From Antibes-centre (place Général de Gaulle), follow "les plages/Cap d'Antibes" (Boulevard Albert 1er). You are going towards Direction Sea, and follow the route through the right turn. On your right hand side you will see a pharmacist and a gas station. At the roundabout DO NOT go straight to Juan-Les-Pins, but rather keep left (bord de mer/les plages) (Boulevard James Wyllies)
You will pass the hotel “Josse” and then reach the "Plage de la Salis". Turn right just after the bistro called “Brasserie de la Salis”(small street with an arch and a yellow mailbox): Chemin des Lauriers. - Nearest major airport: Nice, France (NCE-Cote D Azur) 14 miles
