Situated in a quaint, traditional mountain village overlooking the valley, the ANCIENNE ECOLE DE MONTVILLIERS is a charming three-story farm house which once served as the local school. We, your hosts, are a French/American/Spanish family that settled down here and run our home as a ski chalet in winter and a luxury b&b in summer. Far from the noise and halogen glare of ski resort centers, yet close to the slopes of one of the most extensive ski areas of the French Alps. With our minibuses, we will drop you just a few yards away from the chairlifts of La Plagne Montalbert, in just 7 minutes, with little or no waiting. Depart as soon as you're ready, and return on a simple call from your cell phone - unless you decide, conditions permitting, to ski back down off-piste. A 3 star Gite de France, our bedrooms are en-suite, spacious, comfortable and decorated with taste. A large dining room, a tv room and a games room allow ample space for after dinner activities and socializing. We serve full English breakfasts and French gourmet evening meals with quality wine, as well as tailor made and vegetarian dishes to suit everyone's tastes and requirements. Outside, the orchard provides a wonderful playground for children in winter as well as in summer.
