We made last minute reservations and the room, the house and the food was great. Would recommend this B&B to anyone. And Fayetteville is a beautiful little town.

We were the only guests in the house for our one night stay. Quite enjoyable. Our host was gracious and concerned for our needs. The breakfast and conversations in the morning were outstanding. It will be interesting to come back when the house is full one day.

Just returned from a two-day trip to Fayetteville, where we stayed at the Morris Harvey House. The exterior of the house does look somewhat worn out, but the rooms are well-maintained and decorated tastefully with antiques. We stayed in the Harvey Room, which was spacious and comfortable. Bernie, the owner, makes delicious breakfast for his guests and is great fun to talk to. I loved his French toast with blueberries and whipped cream. He also has great suggestions for eateries in the neighborhood and fun places to visit in the city. We hope to be back soon!

Bernie is a fabulous host. Great experience all the way around. Charming historic feel. Love the small town restaurants in the area. The only negative is the bed was not very comfortable. Mattress felt like it was from the early 1900's too.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Morris Harvey House. Besides the beautiful house, the best thing about the property is that it is right in downtown Fayetteville, two blocks from the center square. Bernie was very nice and made me feel at home. He also cooked up a great breakfast the next day, consisting of an omeleltte, toast and bagels, and a blueberry pudding sort of thing. Great coffee too. I stayed in Rose's suite right next door to the kitchen. The room was really nice and quaint, and even had the original sink, over 100 years old. Great wifi in the house. My only complaints--and they're not really complaints-- is that there was no TV in the room and that, because it's an old house, you can hear people coming in and out of the house. I loved my stay here --thanks for being so welcoming!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in Rosa's suite and had a wonderful weekend. Lots to do and see around America's coolest small town. Lots of great food locations as well which may come as a surprise to those who are not already familiar with Fayetteville WV. Bernie is a wonderful host.

Room was exactly as described...owner Bernie was great and took care of our every need. His breakfast was great as well. Fayetteville is a quaint small town and a pleasure to visit. Nearby is the New River gorge bridge and city of Beckley with a neat coal history. Several nice restaurants within walking distance of our room. This experience was my first in a B&B and I was pleasantly surprised. Would recommend this B&B to anyone! A+!
This beautiful suite was the master bedroom for Rosa and Morris Harvey. It features a beautiful queen-size sleigh bed, fireplace and private bathroom with an antique brass-footed tub and old-fashioned water closet. Located on the First Floor
The Grand Suite, also located on the second floor, features a full bay window with antique day bed enclosed with fretwork & stained glass. Furnishings include a queen size “cannonball” bed, fireplace and full bath. The day bed allows this suite to accommodate a third person.
Located on the second floor on the front of the house, this bright room has a great view of the street. A queen-size bed with a brass & iron headboard, surrounded by antique furnishings make this a very cozy hideaway.
This secluded area on the third floor features a private sitting area and two separate bedrooms, each with a full size bed. This area also has its own private full bath. If privacy is what you want, this beautiful suite is for you. A rollaway bed or inflatible is also available for extra guests.
The Harvey Room, located on the second floor, offers a full antique bed, fireplace & a half bath within the room.

The best thing about being the innkeeper at the Morris Harvey House is that we get guests from all over the world. Having guests from different countries, ethnic groups and interests make for great conversation around our breakfast table. Our goal is that guests may arrive as strangers but they leave as friends.
