This was our first B&B experience so I had nothing else to compare it to but frankly my expectations were high. The Morris Harvey House was immaculate, the food was amazing and the advice from the owner was spot on. Needless to say the MHH exceeded my expectations about B&B's but now all other B&B's will be compared to this one.

Bernie the innkeeper was amazing!! Very hospitable; he even shared his recipes with me and gave me a copy since I enjoyed it so much!! The house was beautiful and clean. We met some friendly people, and had a great experience here! I want to go back now, heck I'd move in. ha. I would recommend the Morris Harvey House to anyone looking for a great B&B experience, and just a lovely place to call it a night. Affordable, friendly, great service, and delicious food.

We were grateful for a late check-in after we got caught in a traffic snarl on I-64. Our plans of an early dinner and a walk around town were foiled by arriving 5 hours later than planned. Beds were comfortable, the breakfast delicious, and the many guests we met, great conversationalists. Our host was helpful with suggestions about how to make the most of a short time in Fayetteville.

My family and I look forward to going every year. We can walk to many good restaurants, and the porches and common rooms are so comfortable for larger groups to just hang out and catch up with each other. Breakfast is always tasty and Bernie, the proprietor is on hand to help with anything.

A beautiful and quaint house with excellent breakfasts and comfortable sleeping accommodations. It was a short walk to local tasty restaurants and interesting shops and a short drive to excellent hiking and rafting. An excellent place for a weekend get-away!

We stopped at this inn one night during a 10 day road trip to Washington, DC. The innkeeper was warm and friendly, and surprised us by making a special gluten free French toast for us in the morning. It was nice to have something besides eggs for breakfast! Fayetteville is a nice little town, and our only regret is that the weather prevented us from exploring the New River Gorge. If we ever come back this way, we'll be sure to stop in again.

This beautiful suite was the master bedroom for Rosa and Morris Harvey. It features a beautiful queen-size sleigh bed, fireplace and private bathroom with an antique brass-footed tub and old-fashioned water closet. Located on the First Floor
The Grand Suite, also located on the second floor, features a full bay window with antique day bed enclosed with fretwork & stained glass. Furnishings include a queen size “cannonball” bed, fireplace and full bath. The day bed allows this suite to accommodate a third person.
Located on the second floor on the front of the house, this bright room has a great view of the street. A queen-size bed with a brass & iron headboard, surrounded by antique furnishings make this a very cozy hideaway.
This secluded area on the third floor features a private sitting area and two separate bedrooms, each with a full size bed. This area also has its own private full bath. If privacy is what you want, this beautiful suite is for you. A rollaway bed or inflatible is also available for extra guests.
The Harvey Room, located on the second floor, offers a full antique bed, fireplace & a half bath within the room.

The best thing about being the innkeeper at the Morris Harvey House is that we get guests from all over the world. Having guests from different countries, ethnic groups and interests make for great conversation around our breakfast table. Our goal is that guests may arrive as strangers but they leave as friends.
