Silver Star B&B Country Inn

We had breakfast on the porch with humming birds at their feeders. The charming inn had a beautiful quilt and country furnishings. The secluded setting felt like my childhood summers in the country.

Beautiful home set in the country, room was cool and quiet, but my husband and I especially enjoyed our fabulous breakfast on the front porch amidst the hummingbirds. The food was delicious and pretty enough to photograph!

They have designed a beautiful log cabin set back in the woods. We loved sitting outside relaxing & watching the humming birds zip around. Breakfast was amazing. So pretty you didn't want to eat it.

Michael was fantastic! The wisdom, knowledge & passion he has surrounding B&Bs is extensive.

Our hostess, Jean, provided a warm, cozy atmosphere for our stay. The rooms were tastefully decorated, food delicious, hummingbirds galore in a natural Wisconsin setting.

My 1st experience in a B&B (this) was most pleasant and one in which I would return. Deeply nested off the beaten path is Silver Star log lodge. We were greeted by a family of turkeys and hovering hummingbirds.

Quiet country log cabin lodge with large deck and porch. Our room was simple, charming and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast and pleasant hospitality.

We feel very lucky to have found the Silver Star by chance, from a small directional sign on the road. The log building is a few miles off the main road, high up in the beautiful rolling hills. The hosts are very friendly and down-to-earth, and the rooms are in perfect condition, with original art, antiques, and large private bathrooms. The breakfast was superb---served on the outside porch overlooking the flower garden. The Silver Star is everything you would expect in a great B&B!

Every year we stay in a B&B around the American Players Theatre. This was the most comfortable, coziest, welcoming one yet. Loved the piano playing and the hummingbirds. Slept great (no creaky floors). Loved that we could get an ice tea when we first got there on a hot afternoon. Could sit out on the deck and visit anytime, day or night and didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone. Nice showers too!

Find the property during the day! It is worth the hunt! Loved dozens of hummingbirds. Their daughter served us breakfast on our private deck. She was an absolute delight. Food (to my husbands delight) was filling and "normal". For the record, I loved it also. Door to room hard to lock & door to deck needed screen, so we could have left it open at night. Couldn't open windows. Overall loved it!

It was very nice, quiet and comfortable. We visited House on the Rock with two other couples. We all enjoyed the visit. Played cards and enjoyed wine and good company.

We have always been reluctant to stay at a bed and breakfast, but after this wonderful experience, we want to try more! Everything was perfect; the beautiful countryside, the hosts, our room, cleanliness, & breakfast.

the silver star was built to be a b&b. so much nicer then a renovated house. the art work and photographs were like being in a gallery. 5 STAR!

Reaxing stay in the country with the Langer family.

We were greeted by a variety of hummingbirds and Baltimore Orioles flying around flowers and feeders. A beautiful, relaxing place and very friendly innkeepers.

We really enjoyed our stay. Jean and Mike are excellent hosts, the breakfast on the deck watching the birds was wonderfully relaxing. Sleeping with the windows open was a plus, the sitting room is stellar. Only negative was that we couldn't stay longer.

We stayed for one night in May (pre-season) and were the only guests. The area is beautiful, the grounds quiet - lots of birds! Jean is a great host and made us feel right at home.
