    Lovely Victorian

    This inn is undoubtedly one of the nicest original Victorian homes we have encountered. We especially appreciated Jennifer's attention to our comfort. She also encouraged us to enjoy the main floor rooms in the house (-the cosy fireplace welcomed us as we recovered from a snowy drive). Breakfast was fabulous. Loved the baked grapefruit and cranberry muffin. The Franklin Victorian Is certainly recommended for B&B lovers!

    Our first Bed and Breakfast stay

    We have never been to a B&B so this was our first experience. We were pretty impressed and will return. The only drawback was not knowing what was on the breakfast menu the next day. They do give you a card and ask if there are any dietary restrictions. We misunderstood what they were asking exactly if it was either allergies or stuff we just did not like. My hubby is a meat and potatoes kind of guy. There was yogurt and cream cheese filling on one of the pastries to which he is unable to eat any of it. However we will remember for next time to put that down. The tour and history of the B&B was amazing! just great history and the inn keeper was wonderful and very respectful of privacy. We really enjoyed ourselves!

    Murder Mystery

    My husband and I decided we wanted to do something fun with our siblings and we found out that the Franklin Victorian B&B offered a Murder Mystery night. Jennifer made the experience fun and the dinner she cooked for us was excellent. The beds were wonderful, food was great and a good time was had by all. We look forward to coming back again. If you want a fun evening with family or friends I would suggest the Murder Mystery night.

    Jennifer et Steve Dunn déplacement à Sparte, Wisconsin en 2002 avec leur fille Kayla et leur fils Nicolas. Jennifer a toujours voulu à posséder et à exécuter un bed and breakfast. Avec son arrière-plan interior design, il ne semblait que naturel. Jennifer et Steve avaient grandi dans La Crosse, Wisconsin, où leurs familles vivent encore. En raison de leur amour de la Midwest et leurs liens familiaux dans le Wisconsin, ils voulaient retourner à leurs racines.     Murder Mystery

    Cream of the crop

    We are long-time fans of the Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast system, and we almost always head for a Wisconsin B & B for our short get-aways. We chose the Franklin Victorian in Sparta this time because of the bike trails and bike rentals--which worked for us even though we were off-season. We knew the B&B would be good, but we didn't expect it to be so perfect. Our hostess, Jennifer, is a pro. Everything from the luxurious sheets, to the supply of games, to early coffee outside the room, to suggestions about activities and places to go, to snuggly robes--it was just so welcoming and comfortable that we were sorry, after three nights, when we had to leave. I'm pretty sure we'll return, probably with relatives in tow. This is a terrific get-away spot--great value, attractive surroundings, friendly town. I miss it now as I'm writing about it!

    Very warm, relaxing, and inviting atmosphere! Amenities aplenty and so greatly appreciated the hospitality of the hosts in answering questions & guiding us to recommended places in the area! Love the close-ness to the downtown Sparta, as well! A definite return to in the future, I hope!

    My husband and I have been to a lot of bed and breakfasts over the years. This is one of my favorites. It's a beautiful home with lots of wonderful woodwork, very well kept up and beautifully decorated. Very homey and comfy. And there were so many extra touches - robes and slippers provided, candles (flameless) , some snacks left in the room for us as well as a snack/drink area for the guests with drinks, coffee and all the fixings, wine glasses and other glasses we could use, even some essentials in the bathroom in case you forget your own. Just a lot of little details that we appreciated. We stayed in the Master Bedroom because we wanted a fireplace. Our room was very nice with a comfortable king size bed. We took a peak at the other rooms also and they all were very nice. Breakfasts were great too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway.
