Brian & Tina were wonderful hosts taking time out of their busy family time during the holiday season to treat us like royalty. The meals were out of this world. So delicious! We will certainly visit the Inn at Timber Cove again and will definitely recommend this Bed & Breakfast to my friends and family. Sandy & Bill Barnett

In Short: I was born and raised in Wisconsin and this little piece of property is truly my favorite place in the whole state. Tina and Brian (the owners) are two of the most gracious and talented people I know. Tina's meals and night-time desserts are outstanding. I have been a return-customer at least four times and plan to visit again in the future. Details: My husband and I visited on a weekend in September. We arrived at 8pm, checked in after a warm greeting from Tina and Brian, and were ushered to our room--the Guest House. Waiting for us on the kitchen table were three large pieces of moist blackberry wine cake. I made decaf coffee, turned on classical music that we could hear throughout the house as relaxed after our 3 hour drive up to Ashland. The comfy chairs in the sitting area of the house are a perfect setting for kicking up your feet, flipping through a magazine and even (when it's chilly) turning on the fire place. In the morning, Tina brought us our breakfast on a tray. It was the "Farmer's" breakfast of scrambled eggs with melted cheese, sausage rounds and toast with raspberry jam. There were also two miniature pears, delicious coffee and cranberry juice. Tina's morning fare left us full for well into the afternoon. At Tina and Brian's recommendation, we visited Little Girl's Point in Michigan, Superior Falls and then toured Bayfield. We returned to the Inn to rest a bit before heading back out to Main Street Ashland for a delicious meal at Deep Water Grill. Upon returning from dinner, Brian asked us if we would like a fire out in their yard. We agreed and he lit a fire just for the two of us. It was so nice to sit and relax with the stars twinkling overhead and their dogs sitting with us. Tina and Brian joined us and we had good, encouraging conversation. I cannot say more about Inn at Timber Cove. It is a place of peace, healing, joy, beauty and renewal. Make a reservation soon! --Grace and Ben from Virginia

Our August visit to the Inn at Timber Cove was truly outstanding! We've stayed at lovely B&B's through the years but this was an exceptional experience. Our hosts, Brian and Tina, were warm, friendly and couldn't have been more hospitable. The huge, homemade breakfasts were scrumptious!! We enjoyed peaceful walks around the grounds and loved our stay in the carriage house which was quaint, quiet, and very comfortable. We look forward to a return trip!

4,8 out of 5Great Hospitality, great value!

I stayed at the Inn at Timber Cove mid-May, 2009 and plan to return next week. Very reasonablly priced, the hospitality is outstanding from all family members (including Chip, one of their two great and friendly dogs). The hosts are incredibly gracious and accomodating, going out of their way to be welcoming. The evening tea and dessert and the morning breakfast (brought to me) were incredible. I stayed in the Carriage House, a delightfully warm and nicely decorated little building with stands of beuatiful flowers to admire all around. I'm a runner, and the Inn is located within 6/10 of a mile from a former rail line that has been converted to a running/walking trail. As well, a couple of blocks further on leads you to another trail along Lake Superior. I have stayed at B and B homes across Canada (my home) and have no trouble saying this is in the top 2 or 3 of any place I have ever stayed.
5 out of 5Wonderful B&B

Totally AWESOME Bed & Breakfast. The Internet site does not do enough justice to this B&B. The B&B and the innkeepers were wonderful. We stayed during the winter & there was snowplowed trails we over the property that we walked thru with our young son. The innkeepers were so friendly and outgoing. Our son did not want to leave as he had so much fun. We were made to feel so comfortable and at home here. We plan on making this our stopping point every time we travel to visit family in MN. We hope we can come back sometime over the summer or fall to enjoy a different experience of the place. This is a beautful and wonderful place to stop and relax.
5 out of 5Charming in everyway

The Inn at Timber Cove is the quintessential place to relax, recover, find yourself, do whatever you wish to achieve in the time you have on your stay. The breakfasts and evening desserts are delectable. The rooms are cozy, quaint, welcoming, the perfect place to read the morning paper or take an afternoon nap. If you like nature, you can stroll amongst the forest on the grounds. If you like music or reading, browse through the collection in your room and enjoy the various choices. There is one key element not graded in the chart which makes the I at TC better than the rest and that would be the Innkeepers. Brian and Tina are warm, welcoming, informative and something that makes the Inn at Timber Cove that much more charming.

Beautiful northwoods setting near Lake Superior on forested land. Cabin was cozy, and daily home-made breakfast was brought to our cabin by friendly and accomodating hostess. Lots of activity going on at the main house, which was fun for our kids. Drawback was lack of land line phone access to our cabin, which is not a problem for those with cell phones.
