Notre cheminée massive au centre de la salle de séjour long de 45 pieds est une zone spéciale snuggle et rêve ‑‑ d'hiver et d'été. La fin de la bibliothèque de la chambre est remplie avec une collection de favoris anciens familiers. Une collection polyvalente d'art et de feuillus étage dans toute la maison fournit une aire de détente. Roulement collines entourant cette jolie maison historique et la grange de bois-bloqué classique. Les cinq acres sont entourées de verdure dominé par natives chênes blancs. Une collection d'au moins 20 variétés d'arbres ont été plantés par une succession de descendants du général. Jardins vivaces avec un champ de fleurs sauvages abondent pour votre plaisir. This place was very cozy and charming. I really enjoyed the "homey" feeling that this place offered. And the innkeepers were fantastic. Very friendly, inviting and welcoming. And breakfast was DELICIOUS!! I was taken here for my birthday and will most DEFINITELY be back!!

I did a girl's weekend with a friend last weekend. I can't say enough about my experience at General Boy'd's. The B&B was cute and decorated with lots of antiques and artwork. Bob, one of the owners explained that the artwork was created by family members. The room was small, but nicely appointed and very clean. I had made the reservation at the last minute, so this room was the only one left. There is a large living and dining room on the first floor that was welcoming and very cozy. The owners wer very attentive to our needs. We asked about a cab to take us to dinner. The owner drove us to town! My friend is a marathon runner and wanted to go for a run in the morning. When we got home after dinner, waiting for us was a fully high-lighted map that showed the route. Breakfast was outstanding with several platters of fresh fruit, an egg strata, apple dessert, and bacon. We were also given fresh, warm scones. I didn't eat for hours! The inn and inn-keepers were a delight. I'll certainly be back.

I really enjoyed my stay and the hospitality was great. Would love to go back and that breakfast casserole was suberb.

This was a great place to start our vacation. The old Farm House and its Inkeepers are everything you could ask for in a B&B. Our arrival greeting was warm and friendly with a tour of the home, and the morning breakfast was absolutely the best. The home is very warm and comfortable and well decorated with period furnishings. You can relax in your room or in the fireplace room. We would recommend this B&B to everyone!
