We stayed here for 4 nights Mother's Day Weekend 2010. We chose this B&B on the advice of our daughter, who lives in Ballard, for its location and price. We will revisit Greenlake Guest House because of its comfort and hospitality. The rooms are well done in every way: cleanliness, decor and amenities. The location across the street from Green Lake is beautiful and very walkable...around the lake and to nearby shops and restaurants. The innkeepers/owners Blayne and Julie are lovely, interesting and hospitable people. They served delicious breakfasts and pleasant conversation. Our expectations from browsing their website (www.greenlakeguesthouse.com) were met and exceeded. Totally pleasant experience from reservation to check-out

We wanted accommodation close to our family without imposing on their hectic schedule. We were there to visit our new 2 month old granddaughter and 3 year old grandson. Julie & Blayne exceeded our expectations with genuine hospitality, specific information about shopping and dining and a warm inviting home away from home. The breakfasts were scrumptious and our every need was met with a smile. The added unexpected bonus was the location right on Green Lake. Walking, running, boating, swimming or just watching were at our doorstep. It was a continual parade of all age outdoor enthusiasts. We've never seen such a vibrant and well utilized natural recreation area as Green Lake. When we return to Seattle this is our first destination. Thank you Julie & Blayne for welcoming these grandparents from Muskoka, Ontario, Canada into your home and making our visit memorable. Mike & Daphne
5 sur 5Green Lake Great!
août 05, 2011
My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at the Greenlake Guest House. What a wonderful choice for the ambience, convenience, and comfort! Blayne and Julie have covered every aspect of staying at a B&B - from the heated tile floors in the bathrooms to the guest refrigerator, dvd library, breakfast menu, complimentary water & sodas, fresh baked afternoon treats, and the convenience (and joy!) of having a Keurig coffee maker for guest use, as well as a computer and printer to use in the living room. The bath products were top shelf - loved the lavender spray - and the breakfasts were wonderful (fresh blueberries right off the bushes)! We also appreciated that breakfast was served anytime between 8:00 and 9:30. They even emailed us ahead of time to let us know of the "inn sitters" (Gary & Liz) who would be there when we arrived (they were great!) The convenience of walking to several local restaurants and shops was so nice. We took the public bus into downtown - another convenience. The park and Green Lake across the street was an added benefit since we didn't feel like we were in the bustle of the city. A sight-seeing tour company even picked us up right at the B&B (Let's Tour Seattle) which was a good thing since the only problem was parking, especially if you arrive on a summer weekend. There is only on-street parking and with the park & lake across the street, it can be quite challenging. We found a spot right next to the house and left the car there the whole weekend! It was a nice cozy place to come back to after touring in the rain - just like being home.

From start to finish, our stay at the Greenlake Guest House was delightful! The breakfasts were something to definitely look forward to, especially the puff pancakes with fresh fruit and the yogurt/fresh fruit cups. Our room was in the front of the house-there is a bit of street noise so if you're sensitive to that, a room facing the back of the house might be better. We loved the bathroom-heated floor and jetted tub! Convenience to Greenlake Park was the best-a nice walk, even on a rainy day! Upon returning from my walk, I discovered that my daughter had enjoyed the tub with bath salts and was all wrapped up in one of the Greenlake Guest House bath robes! We will definitely return!

5 out of 5A wonderful place to stay in Seattle!
juillet 13, 2011
I was recently in Seattle to visit my son, who lives in the Green Lake area. I found the Greenlake B&B on Trip Advisor and I am so glad I stayed there. My room was cozy - everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Jacuzzi bathtub came in handy after a long day of walking around Seattle. I was pampered with marvelous home-cooked gourmet breakfasts every morning. Yummmm! Julie saw to my every need and was always glad to share her knowledge of the area. The Green Lake area is a very nice part of Seattle and is close to several convenient bus lines to downtown and the university area. Hopefully, I will be visiting my son again soon and I will definitely stay at the Greenlake B&B again!

4,8 out of 5The Best Experience!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here four years ago and it was the most amazing experience. This is the first B&B we'd ever been to and at first I was a little hesitant about it. But we spent two wonderful nights here and were completely in love with the place! The room was incredibly comfortable, clean, and so beautiful. The entire home was beautiful and inviting! The family was very friendly and the breakfast was perfect and delicious. The whole place had the quality of a five star hotel and restaurant, and yet the feel of a cozy, warm family home that you just can't help but fall in love with. There are also really great places nearby to explore, like the lake and the zoo. I recommend renting a bicycle and touring around the area! It is really fun!
