World Class Historic Thornewood Castle is a luxury Inn and Gardens located just 10 miles south of Tacoma, Washington city center. Designed by Kelsey Cutter and built in 1909, Thornewood is now on the National Historic Register. Eight luxury suites available, some including jacuzzi, fireplaces, views and bay windows. All suites include plush terry robes,chocolates, ensuite coffee service, television, vcr, cd players, queen or king bed and private baths. The common rooms are far from common with incredible wood work, beautiful fireplaces and Plaster molded ceilings. Without a doubt, this historic castle is the most beautiful, most romantic location on the face of the earth. Our sixth-year anniversary was absolutely delightful. Thank you for reminding us of the wonderful marriage we're lucky to have and for making our love for each other feel renewed. We plan on telling everyone we know about this amazing place and the phenomenal beauty it offers. What a fantastic retreat! Thank you so much - see you next year!

We originally came because of the movie Rose Red and discovered that there is so much history here. We explored and enjoyed reading all of the old news paper clippings. We will definitely be back (I am already wanting to bring my husband here sometime and eventually my kids). Who knows maybe my daughter will get married here?! ;-) Thank you so much - we have had an awesome time. You truly have a piece of paradise here.
